Official Podcast?

I had been getting (part of) my Disney fix from the official podcast on iTunes -- Walt Disney World Resort: Plugged In. It could be a little heavy-handed sometimes and over the top with promoting certain things, but I liked it. I haven't seen a new episode in almost a month. Anyone know what happened to it? Is it coming back? Should I just move on?

At the end of the last Podcast they said they were going to be taking a small break and come back with a re-vamped DW podcast. But I do hope they hurry up.

I know, I am so hooked too! Hope they bring it back soooooon!!!!

I guessing it will probably startup again (within the next few weeks) as the new PoC movie approaches and the PoC ride comes to close to coming out of rehab. The previous podcasts were mostly pushing EE with other stuff thrown in.

A ha! Thanks! I didn't listen all the way through the last podcast because I had gotten a little sick of them talking about Everest. That's what I get for not paying close enough attention.

Since you found Plugged In, I'm sure you are already aware of the other disney non-official podcasts. But just in case you're not, there are many great ones out there. I am a loyal listener to Inside the Magic with Ricky Brigante (sp?), Mouse_Tunes, Beyond Main Street, WDW Today, The Meandering Mouse, and Netcot. There are other very good ones as well, but those are my personal favorites. Each has its own take and provides me with a full week of background Disney sounds, music, news & rumors and ride-thru's. I also listen to Plugged In, but with all the others out there I hadn't even noticed how long it's been since Plugged In was last released!

That's what I did! LOL! I kept "fast forwarding" through Everest crap - don't get me wrong, can't wait to ride it. . . but the dude was like a used car salesman for a few months pushing it! :rotfl2:

It bugs me though, the guy's voice and delivery. . . of course I've worked in radio for 6 years so I'm VERY critical of that stuff, LOL. The littlest things about peoples' "professional voices" get to me. The guy just sounds unprofessional (reminds me of high school radio) - it all sounds very scripted and unnatural. . . I wish they had a guy that could read from a script but make it sound natural, instead of fakey tones and odd-place pauses. There's no flow. . . there's a big pause between sentences, anyone notice that or is it just me being picky? LOL

Oh I love Ricky Brigante, what a great voice. He belongs in broadcasting in some shape or fashion. I am going to buy one of his T-shirts from CafePress in hopes of running into him at the park this November! I also love Lou and Nathan and their babbling! HA! Another great podcast is Window to the Magic with Paul Barrie. His is a lot of Disney music interspersed with emails and reviews! This past week Paul featured the music from WISHES. I have been so happy all week. Whenever I need a pick me up, I listen to WISHES!!

Also, there is an old podcast (audio blog) called 1313 South Harbor Drive. It features all the "sounds of Disneyland". This is also a great podcast, especially the Fantasmic retrospective!

Podcasts make my train commute bearable!!

I listen to inside the Magic and the Official Disney Podcast and I think they are both great! I don't know what's up with the official one, either. I hope they come out with somehting new soon. Until they do, I've been listening to old episodes of Inside the Magic to get my fix. Maybe I'll have to check out some of the other ones you guys mentioned. Thanks!

Hate to sound Pre historic, but what are podcasts? :confused3
Podcasts are audio or video programs that are distributed over the internet to your computer. Kind of like a pre-recorded radio show you can subscribe to. :thumbsup2 If you know what an RSS feed is, it's easier to understand podcasts. If not, that's okay too.

I listen to the WDWR: Plugged In, but my favorite Podcast is WDW Today. It's "outstanding." :teeth:

Or if you have iTunes, it's easy to subscribe that way. There's a podcast section of the Music Store (the podcasts are usually free).
