OK guys. Let's make this official. I need all of the accountability I can get!:D

Should we start out by checking in bi-weekly, starting today and then as we get closer, we could check in weekly? Or we could just check in weekly starting now. It's up to you.

I think I have all who want to do the challenge below, but if I have missed anyone, PLEASE let me know. You can pm me or something, OK? I don't want to leave anyone out.

I need to ask you all a favor though. I don't know everyone's info so if you could let me know, then I will add it below.

OK. Why don't we make next Wed., Oct. 1st our first check in. That sounds good to me too.

And I know what you mean about taking a deep breath before you posted your numbers. I think I gasped when I put them there for everyone to see. But if I can't be honest with you guys, who can I be honest with??:D Besides, I know that this group is pulling for me (and this goes both ways, I might add) more than anyone.

Wednesdays will be good. I weigh in on Sundays for the official check in thread, and don't weigh myself every day, so this will give me an idea how I am doing about 1/2 way through the week.

DIdn't know if we are going to do a new thread each Wed for check-in or not.....so I'll post my status here for now.

Great week on Atkins for me.....down 3 lbs! So change that middle number to 237.5.

In about 3-4 more lbs I will no longer be considered "morbidly obese".....isn't that a lovely term?

Can't wait to see how everyone else is doing.

OT.......I got a triple hit from the Tag Fairy...and they are perfect!

I can't believe it's been a week already. I was struggling at the end of last week, no real weight loss to speak of. Then I started KISS (really strict Atkins) and I've lost 3 pounds since Sunday! The challenge is 14 days and I'm on day 3. This is harder than I thought, though. Not even a packet of splenda in my tea. :( Oh well, with results like that, how can I complain.

I also played volleyball on Saturday and went for a hike for over an hour yesterday. I need to do that more often.

OK anyone else want to check in..........:D

Grr.... I am the same, however the darn BF is hovering nearby as it is TOM... I will have a loss to report next week I am sure..

Starting weight with wish a few months back 210 weight now 190
( never did figure how to change that banner.
Been to cardiologist today and really need to lose at least 40 lbs,
It is really hard to keep the motivation going.

Baileymouse - good going!! That's fantastic! Another 3 pounds. With your surgery, are there foods you have to stay away from? Do you find you have more carbs or protein? One of my friends just had the same surgery about a month ago. She is still on a liquid diet,I believe.

Rain - Lynda, so are you already at ONEderland?Would you like to pick a weight goal and I will put that in the first post? You said 40 pounds, so do you want me to put in 150?? Just let me know. And I know how hard it is to get motivated. I wish there was a little pill we could take that would just keep us focused. Coming here helps. Just keep reading and posting here, I think all of the inspiration wears off onto us. Like a really good virus!HEEHEE :teeth: Keep working your plan and you will gain confidence and motivation just by sticking to it.

Could some of you do me a teensy,weensy favor?? I need the weight that you guys started THIS challenge with, if that's OK. That way we can see just how much we have to be working on to get to 199. It puts us all on the same page.:D

I stick with a low-carb, high protein diet. Pretty much almost all of my diet is protein right now. We have to get in a minimum of 60 grams of protein a day, which doesn't leave much room for anything else. I also have to have the required minimum 64 oz. of water, so I'm always in the ladies room at work, lol.

Tell your friend she's going to do great! I'm amazed at how much I've lost.
