Just FYI...

The CM I spoke with in CRO said there were no room only reservation discounts associated with the Disney Visa offer. Package discounts only.

I just got off the phone. The only deluxe resorts available during my time are OKW and SS. Not exactly where I want to stay. And the savings was only $248. I think I'll keep checking back to see if WL or AKL open up.

I asked why nothing available for my dates in the deluxe category except
WL CV and she said because the other resorts are booked. Not on the WDW website they aren't, so I don't get it? When a package code comes out there should be something available . . .strange, its like they blocked everything out?

No discounts available for my dates 10/6-14 for anything but Sarasota Springs. What a bummer

All that waiting and anticipation for nothing.

Just called WDW. The discount for our package on Disney Visa was the same as the postcard discount I received on Saturday. We still saved $149. I was hoping for more but every little bit helps. That money will pay for the meals the dining plan doesn't and also the parking at the airport. We will be there Oct 3-7.

Just called our AAA agent with the code and she is calling now. Waiting, waiting, waiting....I did see on the intercot board that someone got Pop availability and that's what we're booked with now, so hopefully there will be some pixie dust!!!

It's not that they are fully booked. It is that they are "booked enough". Codes aren't there to be nice to us. They are really most like clearance sales---a way to move inventory not booking as quickly as expected. Apparently, Disney feels they won't have to discount those Deluxe rooms to fill those resorts.

Well the day has come. The CODE is upon us.
Called CRO this morning to use the code but to my dismay. All they had for me was to switch from POP to ASMU. Not what I really want. Plus there are no moderates available either. I would have saved $300 if i switch. But i rather stay at POP than ASMU. So i will just keep my fingers crossed that A mod will become ava. sometime soon.

I'm certain blocks of rooms at various resorts are being held back for AP and Florida Resident room only rates which should be released within the next couple of days.

The codes aren't going to help me.

So many of the discounts have been "room only". I was excited to see that the Disney Visa Discount applied to packages.

When I called, I was told that the code doesn't apply to some of the days during some of my stay. Since we are on a package, they cannot apply the code to some of the days. It's an all or nothing type of code.

What a bummer! Our final payment is due next week....looks like I"ll be paying "rack rate".

Ok, I have a question, we got the post card with the special, which includes one day tickets to the park, my question is can this tickets be upgraded and can the package be upgraded to include dining? I know that you guys know everything so I thought I would ask you before calling. I am upset to hear that they want you to switch to ASMU though, we are already booked at Pop and it will be hard for us to switch to ASMU, we really don't like ASMU that much.

Just called and got a Disney Visa code applied to our AKL trip. The pool view that we originally had wasn't available, but we got a Savannah View for a savings of $120.00. We are so excited for the upgrade and the savings. This will be so cool since our kids no nothing about this vacation, but they have always wanted to stay at AKL. Can't wait.

Thanks for checking again this morning.
I couldn't stand waiting anymore so I called last night and spoke with "Mac". No codes were attached to my name or pins or anything.

I just decided to book Pop Century so that at least I have something in the value resorts. My hope is to get a moderate . They offered me POR and Caribbean beach but they were $165 plus tax and I declined.

Anyone else here going to run the Tower of Terror 13K on Oct 27th?
