Fortunately I noticed that right before I checked out today. Bought DH's Buzz costume last week. Bought myself a Minnie costume this week. I was trying to find something cheaper, but all the knock-off costumes are like "sexy" Minnie and really, no one needs that. I looked on eBay too but nothing in my size. So DH told me to order it.

On an even better note, DH just informed me that he ordered a Skeletor costume. And apparently he and DSis were discussing Disney before I got home from work because they planned a special variation to DS8's surprise birthday party. The regular surprise party will be Sunday morning with presents from us and Mickey. But the new plan involves getting an Epcot CM to run over to us at 4:00 and tell him Mickey has a special surprise, but we need to hurry back to our hotel right away -- where we'll find costumes and an invitation.

Did I mention that we're still 30 days away and DH is planning Disney?!?!

Also -- today is the 30 day mark!

It's super cute. I think the colors are perfect. They don't clash horribly but they're wild enough that they give the right effect. It's a great costume. I love the little hat.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE you surprise idea. We will be there for DD's 10th birthday and we have planned the Wishes Dessert party for her, she said she didn't care about MNSSHP (I know, she is crazy) and I LOVE the idea of having a cast member come over and tell her. I may steal this idea from you. I have a printed invitation that was I going to have out in the room, but the CM telling you is WAY better.

Oh, so here is the plan for the day of her birthday. Wake up to first present that will have a clue,(first present is a watch) and it tells her what time to open the next one....this will happen 10 times (about every 1 1/2 hour) through out the day. - b\c it's her 10th b-day.

Our Family is going to WDW 10/22 - 10/25/11 staying at the CBR. My question is being that this is during Mickey's "Not So Scary Halloween" party time, is the park decorated in Halloween theme?

Like Lisa said, MK is decorated for Halloween all the time from now until right around November 2nd or 3rd. I'm crossing my fingers that Minnie is dressed as a witch again in a window display.

Kathy, the costume looks fantastic!!!! I love it. And the little Mad hatter hat is cool!

I had meeting on top of meeting yesterday and didn't accomplish anything )or so it seemed). Oh, and remember that lovely audit that is supposed to start three days before my vacation? It says in the fine print that is can last five days. So, I called them yesterday and left a message that they need to reach me pronto regarding the dates of the audit because I will be unavailable for half the week.

UGH....sorry needed to vent.

I know what you mean about projects (audits) starting just before vacation. If I have said it once, I've said it a hundred times - I'm out that week!

I received my DME yellow tags and luggage tags with our names on them.

What else should I be receiving in the mail???? Do my tickets and everything come to the house, or do I get that once in Disney?

I booked thru AAA, and my agent told me that she has some stuff to send out to me, but I wasnt sure what it was.

BTW...the car rental board had been talking about the change in park hours. I didn't want to believe it, but I checked the TA link to be sure. Almost everyday has changed for hours and now I have to replan just a little (meaning, I can't meander on mornings I was planning to meander).

For example, on Friday the 21st, MK was originally 9-7. I was planning on getting to the park around 7:30ish so we could take some picks in front of the train station and have Quinn look around a bit. Well, now the hours are 8-7, so I will have to make sure we just get up and get a move on. NO DAWDLING!!

It looks as though they've extended the hours for the parks all through my week, so now I have to get these times in my head. It shouldn't be too difficult, but I've had "9am" on my mind for all this time and now it's changed. Also, the parks are open much later now as well. MK is open until 1am on Saturday the 22nd. I guess they are expecting a pretty big crowd. And EMH for MK on Monday, the 24th are going to be until 1am not midnight. Guess the kids and I will be tir-ed on Tuesday!!!!

You'll get your tickets when you check into your resort...they are attached to your KTTW card. The next packet that will come will have a brochure of types in it with your trip information (the people going, where you are staying, for how mong, what tickets, etc) and coupons. My advice: take this with you. (1) It includes the parking pass for your resort (a new added feature since 2009 ), (2) it includes your confirmation number, and (3) you will find the coupons usefull (especially the arcade one).

my mom and i decided to take advantage of the one-night premium package deal before the rules change in january.

we've been to WDW six times already, but this will be our first MNSSHP and our first food & wine!

we're staying at pop, and here's our schedule:

13th -- arrive at MCO @ 1pm, check-in at pop, MNSSHP that night.
14th -- start premium package: keys to the kingdom tour, parasailing, sea raycers rental, 5 pm hoop dee doo review, wagon ride, 9pm illuminations.
15th -- (premium cont'd): around the world segway tour, sea raycers @ boardwalk and mini-golf at fantasia gardens, behind the seeds tour, lunch @ coral reef, 6 pm la nouba, 9:20 pm dinner @ california grill for wishes (we'll go early and watch it from the deck)
16th -- EMH morning at AK, late afternoon/evening at DHS including dinner @ sci-fi, 7:30 fantasmic
17th -- epcot food & wine including lunch @ le cellier, catch magical express to MCO at 4pm

it's going to be jam packed, but we've made all our ressies and we're ready for it!

i may need a second vacation after though!

This makes sense as to why I got an email update from the Touring Plans website. Almost all of my dates crowd level changed. It's scaring me a little, but not much I can do now since I leave in 16 days!

I feel for you guys that are busy at work, but I have the opposite problem. It is dead here. No work. No nothing. Just long days with nothing left to plan for my trip. It's feast or famine around here I guess. And of course, you know all the work will come when I'm gone. TOO BAD. Someone else will have to handle it!

Which ones? We got two sets. 1) Bright colored paper-like ones, which you wrap through your luggage, and secure the inside ends to each other, so the writing is visible. 2) A darling set of 3-D type tags to display our names, which have "loops" for lack of a better word, attached on one side. They snap off, and are wrapped around the handles, fed through small holes in the cards. I hope that helps.
