ot and sad: my father-in-law passed away this afternoon. Sitting here in shock and wishing DH would give me a job so I felt like I was helping him and his family (how selfish is that to be thinking of me).

I'm so sorry to hear your family is going through this. Was it sudden or had he been ill? I lost my grandmother today, as well. I'll add prayers for your family as well as mine. My grandmother was expected so it helps a little, but no matter what, it is still a shock when it actually happens.

Take care and I know your husband appreciates you just being there for him.

Ladies, I am so sorry. :grouphug: You both have been extremely kind to me and I'm thinking of you and yours. srauchbauer, as im4kycats said, your hubby knows you're there for him and that means a lot. We're here for you if you need us.

taramoz....hmmm....the great costume debate. I will admit, my kids are always "themed" meaning, they always dress to go with each other. Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip, the Incredible kids, Wendy and Peter Pan. So, it's up to you what you feel like doing. What characters or movies make you happy? Go from there.

I just paid off our package--except for the QSDP (see below)! Woohoo! Used up all of our Disney Visa rewards and then the Disney Visa to do the rest. It is hard to believe that we racked up 571 reward dollards since our trip last June, but that's what we had. Now any additional points we get from the next two bill cycles will be used on fun stuff for the kids. :goodvibes They will be rollin' in dough between the trip payoff and our various season ticket payments which were all made this week. Plus we have our trip to Pittsburgh this weekend. Okay...now I see how we racked up 571 points since last June. :lmao:

I did not have any PINs today (boo!), but I ran my plan of holding off on reapplying the QSDP (until I was sure no discount would be possible) by the CM and she said to definitely do it that way to avoid any change fees. I will definitely add the plan a few days before my billing cycle closes on Oct. 1 to be sure I get those 9 rewards dollars for the kiddos. I mean, that's half a hat right there. LOL!

So excited. We just tweaked our plans and we are now going to MNSHP on October 13th. We decided to give up Chef Mickey's so we can go to the party. Can not wait 43 more days.

I am so sorry for both of you and am keeping you both in my thoughts. :grouphug:

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

I am so glad I found the DIS when I was searching (obsessing) for things about Disney. You are all so great and supportive. There has been a lot of non-Disney stuff going on in everyone's lives recently and I have been so touched by how everyone supports and cares for one another.

Ok, so I dropped my Crystal Palace ADR for 10/23 and now we're doing La Hacienda de San Angel for dinner that night instead and making it a nice, leisurely stroll around WS for the night. If we get to see some princesses, great, but DD can do some KidCot stuff or we can just do F&W or some shopping or whatever until we think she'll conk out and then head back to the resort. I won't feel like I'm wasting a park ticket for the day but we also won't be rushing to get there or get back since it's a monorail ride to and from. Phew!

Have you guys seen the new Halloween party threads? There's one going with the new trick or treat spots and names, tells who's going to be out, and a change to the villian show (Dr. Falcier is hosting), and they is going to be a countious villians meet area with Hades and Gaston (and others). There's another one with pictures of Halloween merchandise.

If anyone knows where the Halloween super thread from last year is, I'ld like to see it. I'm curious to see pics of the treats and decor.

Just stopping by to say hey, after almost 58 hours without power thanks to Irene , it finally came back tonight.

Upon checking my mail I see that touring plans updated the crowd calendar for my week and now my DHS day is a day to avoid thanks to Fantasmic! being showed every day. I picked the day I did originally cause it was suppose to low crowd level 1.1 now it went to 3.4 :headache:

I have to look over my plans but I think at this late date I won't be changeing my days around

Do you remember what thread has the pictures of the merchandise I have been trying to find it?
