***OFFICIAL*** October 2011 - Updated 10/08/11

Best Husband - he just asked me to change our ADR time Yachtmen Steakhouse to an earlier time. I asked why and he said "just in case we want to do the Halloween Party twice". :cool1:

Millville is about 30 minutes from us...we usually play them in midget football (not that my son is playing this year). I live in Pennsville, at the base of the DE Memorial Bridge.....exit 1 on both 295 and the NJTP!!! :lmao:

Tigger...glad we can make your day brighter. I'm just glad our thread has people with my kind of personalities on it....I have a weird sense of humor and not many people "get it".

OK...so may day has been absolute heck (cause we can't say the other word, right?). I am a CFO....I didn't know that "IT Department" was also my thing. LOL Anyway....I bought a computer for our Transportation Manager and I am trying to get it working right for her. Windows 7 hates most things ancient and guess what? My company runs on ancient software. Oh, and get this: she has over 8,000 emails she wants transferred from her old computer. :scared1: "ex-squeeze me?!?!" UGH.....so, I've been spending most of my day doing that (which means running through the rain from the transportation office to the bus shop), but at least I got payroll done....that should make the rest of the employees happy.

So...about my reservations. Well, you all know how hubby wanted to eat with the princesses (and, I must admit, I really, really like the breakfast at Akershus better than Crystal Palace....plus, and no offense to anyone, it takes forever for Pooh and his friends to get to your table). Well, after trying for days and unable to snag a reservation on the 26th (which was the day I originally scheduled breakfast), I tried something. On Sunday, the 23rd, we were supposed to eat lunch at the San Angel Inn. I tried that for 1pm on the 26th. What'dya know? It was available. So, I then checked the 23rd for 8am for Akershus. SCORE!!! :woohoo:

So, we are not breakfasting with the princesses on Sunday morning the 23rd (after I do my quick (hopefully) re-check in at the front desk) and a late lunch on the 26th at the San Angel Inn. I am so happy I was able to do this for him. He loves Ariel, and I am going to try and let them know that so he maybe gets some special attention from her. :)

Alright...back to trying to figure out which way is up in my office. There is so much to do before tomorrow afternoon and it seems my inbox never stops getting full.

UGG - dining reservations are down on the disney sight - seems like a silly time with all the F & W stuff coming out yesterday.

I love how Jersey people mark where they live by their exits! And don't you know if you're now considered IT (and CFOs many times are), then you have the right to tell that woman that 8000 emails is WAY TOO MUCH!!!!? :scared1: Good Lord, has she never heard of delete? Does she do that much wrong that she needs that big of a CYA folder? Holy cows! I work for a higher ed company that is currently owned (I say currently, but only because the buyout hasn't gone through yet) by a data company and so we have lots of security software on our computers. I was in the SharePoint manager's office yesterday for a meeting and he has an app that runs on his desktop showing CPU usage. It was at 51% during our meeting and he wasn't using the computer. :rotfl: Um, think we might have a bit too much on these computers? Let's RAMP IT UP people!! Cheap you-know-whats. ;)

As much as Disney does right you'd think they'd figure out that website.

too cool!!! We're not going to go this year. We went in 2007, but I like having our day off better and on the 24th (one of the MNSSHP nights), we're going to eat at California Grill, so I am hoping we see Hallowishes!!!!

Yeah, 8,000 is just a tad too much. I did tell her she needed to delete most of them. What the heck do you need with emails from 2002? Seriously. Because, even if you think it might be relevant.....it's not! You know why? Cause the economy is in a different state now than it was then. So frustrating....

Now on to something better: I am currently listening to the Spaceship Earth ride through (Jeremy Irons style...love him!). Are you guys listening to anything good today?

Absolutely!!!!:rotfl:

You know, I just bought the 1970s read along book and tape for my little guy for It's a Small World. Let me just tell you how thrilled I was to find it in mint condition on eBay. Now, if I only knew someone who could convert tapes (cassette) to CD.

Speaking of Disney Music when I was on hold waiting to change and ADR i put the phone on Speaker so I could type messages on the Dis board:rotfl:. My kids loved the music it was music from the different rides from around the parks, so my question is do they sell CD's with park music? and if so where.

As one friend to another, I could, of course, *lend* you my Four Parks One World CD. I'll send you a PM when I get home (literally about to walk out the door) and I'll make sure you have that wonderful music to listen to. Oh....and I have the three "greatest hits" CDs too. Can you tell I'm a Disney Geek?!?! :rotfl:

Hey FigmentChick can you add me to the list pretty please? :goodvibes

I'll be there Oct 24th-31st at POR.

Hi... I am new to this thread - we are possibly heading to WDW at the end of Oct... So, I apologize for jumping in on an ongoing discussion that I wasn't involved in...

Anyways - the park music is available for purchase on CD - I purchased it on my last trip... the CD is called "Four Parks, One World"... I purchased it in DHS - I can't remember the exact store though. Here's what it looks like - and it looks like you can purchase it through Amazon online:
http://www.amazon.com/Official-Disney-WDW-Four-Parks/dp/B001LXSQBK

There is also a seasonal version that has the MNSSHP and MVMCP music on it, and it's called Magic Kingdom Event Party Music:
http://www.amazon.com/Disney-Magic-Kingdom-Event-Party/dp/B000ZU4GK0

I do own both of these CDs and highly recommend them - it's so much fun to look at photos of Splash Mountain and have all the music that goes with it. :lovestruc

D~

I suspect that's why it was down. I don't think this maintenance was planned. I booked F&W on Tues. And still can't see my ressies online. It was a mess.

If you poke around there is software out there that you can use to do this. I think you just need a tape player & headset type cord to run to your PC. You load the music into Itunes (or whatever player you use) then can burn a CD out of there after you've uploaded the cassette.

I think a lot of the stores have CD's available, but probably not exactly what you want. They don't carry older CD's or the background park music. That said we've seen lots of different music while there. Personally I like to pick up the CD's in Epcot for the groups there. Voices of Liberty, Mo Rockin, etc.

We are excited! Our TA e-mailed me that we got all the F&W events we wanted. Knowing that I was able to get our Medevial Times booked. Got 20% off w/the AAA card, so promptly blew the savings on an upgrade to better seating w/a free photo. :goodvibes Got our Petty ride-along passes in the mail the other day, so we are all set. Just have to hurry up & wait now.

Only thing we aren't sure about is the Chateau Ste. Michelle wine seminar. I'm not sure about booking a 4pm event since we are planning to hop around the parks that day. But I really do enjoy their wines. Wish it was @ 6pm like the Cocktail seminars...
I guess it is only $10 so we could book it & if we miss it oh well, it would only be $20 we were out. Or I can wait & see if they have availability at what ever time we arrive at Epcot & just hope it isn't sold out. What to do? What to do?!?

If you look around online you can buy find both old and new Disney music on MP3. It's my son's favorite request in the car. I'm partial to the theme of the MK Celebrate parade and DS loves Fantasmic.

Hello, Katie & Kathy. Welcome to our boards. I'm going to add you to the first post in just a moment (I'm supposed to be working on a vacation spreadsheet, among other things, and I just can't concentrate).

Katie, I'll be at POR with you. The 24th is our AK day, so we should be back to the resort around 4pm (I hope). I'm planning on taking the older two to MK that night for EMHs. Please let me know if you want to say Hi....although, it's kinda hard to miss me: I'm a short red-head with a loud mouth (I actually have to close my office door when I make phone calls, my voice carries that much! :)). Maybe it's a South Jersey thing.......

Kathy, I'll throw some bananas your way: :banana: and add my own whoo-hoo :woohoo:!!! It's always good to be that much closer!!!

You can't buy this music but I love the site dtuneslive.com. It is nothing but Disney music all the time. We love it.
As DMGeurts siad (and welcome!), they are available on the CDs....they actually promote the CD if you listen long enough! (yes....I have been on hold that long. lol) There are also a couple of other Disney radio stations out there if you Google them.

On another note: wish me good weather for tonight, please. I am taking DD and my best friend's daughter to the Selena Gomez concert in Philly. HOWEVER, it's an outside venue and they are predicting thunderstorms. I already hardly slept last night. And our power was knocked out for quite a bit last night: lightning hit a transformer. I'll sing along to the songs I know (all two of them) for you!!!!!! :D
