I'm having a crappy day at work. I just sat through a 6 hour demo and I'm tired. I have to get 2 spinal MRIs done tonight and I'm just thinking I spent all morning sitting in a chair and I'll spend 2 hours this evening in a tube. Not a happy day. I think I'll surf the DIS the rest of the day!!

If the fare has been reduced, you should be able to click on "change reservation" at the top of the page. They were having some problems with the website though, so a lot of people were calling instead, and so I spent 32 minutes on hold but they were able to get it all set for me.

But since we had such wonderful weather i was playing around today with the idea "IF" we get FD how does it work. I know that usually you need to be staying at a Mod resort. We are staying at POP so my question is:

can i get FD dining staying at POP and what would be the additional charge?

From what I've read, you can upgrade to the DDP and pay the difference between the QSDP and DDP, which is $13/day per person (adult).

Another reason is that there is a bacteria in lakes in Florida that can kill.

Can you just buy tickets to the YES, or do you need a package through them? I've already booked our pkg and mostly paid it off, but would love to add a YES activity for my DD.

You have to at least buy one day ticket with the YES class, but not the rest. If you have an extra day to play with on your trip it could still be a good deal.

To the other poster - I have no idea how they post those classes or if there will be more. There are other threads on these forums with lots of YES info, I bet you will be able to find someone who knows.

Our fares haven't been reduced unfortunately. We're going down on a Sunday, which isn't eligible, and the day we're coming back must be considered a busy travel day because there are no discounts even though it's an eligible day.

It's I think a combo of the gators and the bacteria. More so the bacteria than the gators, though. I lived in Florida for a brief stint and swam in the lakes in centra FL that supposedly had gators and they stay pretty far away as long as you don't taunt with gator food, like babies (kidding!). I think they found the lakes were too hard to maintain safe levels of water and that with keeping the wildlife safe both to themselves and the people, they just decided to keep us out.

I thought FD was across the board. Value got QSDP and Mods and up got DDP. However Mods can't get QSDP so if you had that and were staying in a Mod or Deluxe, you'd have to upgrade (though it's free, so I don't think the upgrade would cost much ).

Tell me about it! I'm here in Wisconsin and we would really like for summer to finally make an appearance!

One positive outcome of all the rain and storms is that my Office in a NW suburb of Chicago has been closed for 2 days now due to a power outage! Yippee - it's like a snow day!

Just got an e-mail from Disney reservations (no it's not a pin) my great DH upgraded us from POP to the Caribean. I have been talking about it kind of hinting that it would be nice but never thought it would happen. Thank you Jeff.

Hi all! I guess I can now officially join this group!!! My dates are Sept 29 - Oct 3. It's a short trip but I'm coming for the Wine & Dine 1/2 marathon. This is my first trip during this time of year. I don't know what to expect! I'm so used to January marathon crowds, weather, etc. I need to find out about the Food & Wine Festival and try to cram in as much as possible.

I'm just so excited right now! I've got my flight and hotel (AllStar Music) booked but nothing else. I'm such a planner but normally I have a year in between trips. I feel like I need to get busy!

Hi all. It's official for us. Just got great rates last night on Southwest $80 one way from Hartford to Orlando----YES!! We'll be staying at WL from 10/26-29 and just decided to extend through 11/1. Now to get a discount, right??

Did make a reservation for the Haunted Carriage Ride at Ft. Wilderness for 10/31. Sounds like fun!
