No worries, we all have our moments

I do find looking at a previous years hours helpful to make my "tentative schedule" then just adjust as needed when the official hours come out especially if the hours come out close to when my ADR have to be booked. This year I should have lots of time to plan since I don't make ADR's until April 22.

Oh yeah... I have had my tentative schedule planned using last year's hours since BEFORE October last year... :rotfl2:

I don't make my ADR's until April 18 so i should have plenty of time as well, I'm just itching to start confirming my park days and such. I also am waiting on the MNSSHP dates. We haven't decided yet if we are going or not, but if the dates work out okay I MIGHT consider it.

I been thinking all day about Fantasmic! I was planning on doing the lunch Pkg then I saw the earliest ADR is 1:30 which will mean we can't eat dinner before we go it will be too soon. So now I am torn do dinner after F! or just skip the lunch/dinner pkg and take our chances they do two shows like in 2010 so we can just head over for the second show after having dinner elsewhere, I do not want to spend the day there since it will be so crowded

I am starting to change my mind about MNSSHP too

DH could care less he is of little help when I ask him

I want those Oct 2011 hours badly :rotfl:

Ok, gotta know. What's fantasmic? I've learned so much from these boards (and it keeps costing me $$, lol). Before this I didn't know about MNSSHP or Wishes Dessert party and now I want to do both. Tell me about Fantasmic so I can add that to my list too, lol ;)

Exw, yes, sorry I did mean the dessert party. From the pics it shows it looked like you were in a place that was on an upper level. I figured the view was better since the party was dessert during the fireworks. I was just hoping it wasn't too close so the noise wouldn't be too loud. DD hates the "boom".

Thnx for th info.

Still waiting on those dates!! I got my WDW vacation planning DVD today. I look forward to checking that out. I still haven't booked yet. My preference is CRS with the hopper and the DDP but it is just more than I expected. Waiting a few more weeks to see if any discounts come out and then I need to bite the bullet and either book it or get the value's :(. Either way I want it booked before the 180 mark so I can make my ADR's right on time!! :)
the dessert party is fabulous. we enjoyed it. it is still close, so you can hear the booms. we just loved the fact we didn't have to deal with the crowds. here is a pic- you can see the 'overhang' of the roof there. Our table was right up against the railing though- great location!

I *think* I am joining in... I am currently booked under FD for September dates, but I am pretty sure I will be switching my dates to October. I am really hoping for FD though, and it might keep me from switching if I can't get a discount... But I am going to plan both and then decide later! My dates would be 10/24-10/28 at Pop with QSDP! It will be me and my DS3 Jack!
woo hoo! when are you going to decide on the switch Steph?

Fantasmic is the nighttime spectacular at Hollywood Studios. THere are fireworks, water effects, a boat with characters and villians. It is a great show (although i think better at DL). In the slow seasons, they only show it like 2-3 a week, so those nights at HS are packed. they usually will offer two shows that night. You can wait an hour or more in line to see it and many book a dining package to ensure a spot. This show, however is extremely loud and can be very overwhelming for little ones- it is probably the 'scariest' of the nighttime shows, with lots of villians etc. We don't plan on taking my son (3yo) to see it until he is much older. plus, we prefer to ride rides while everyone else is seeing it (or avoid HS on Fantasmic night all together if possible!)

Exw, thanks for the tips. Loud and scary is what we need to avoid. I think the dessert party should be ok, if we can go indoors if it bothers her and music will help but Fantasmic sounds like something we'll avoid this year. Sounds like it's fun but just not for her yet.

Thanks again!!

Dear Walt Disney World Park Hours Department:

There are a bunch of us patiently waiting for those pesky October hours to be released. Would you please be so kind as to get those out ASAP? Greatly appreciated, as always!

sjs - were you really up at 2:30am looking for Park Hours? Sounds like something I would do!:lmao:

I really thought today would be the day - maybe the Travel Agents aren't awake yet?

I usually wake up around 3 am , sometimes I can fall back to sleep but if not the first place I run to is the computer and the DIS Boards.

This morning I had a new "Quest".....someone mentioned on the BC thread about a "character bus" for early am ADR at parks for character breakfasts , I could not find anything about that but did find out that the buses to the Parks start running at 6:30am :) :rotfl:

Looks like AirTran is getting ready to release their schedule after October 15. I just looked on their website and entered our dates - Oct 26/Oct 31 - and there are flight #s and times but no prices yet.

:thumbsup2

The prices on Airtran are up now but I am wondering if they made a mistake or something. From Pit to orlando it's $372 each way for nonstop and $412 for 1 stop!!!! crazy! First class was only $458 each way. do you think there is a chance they could have made a mistake posting prices?

I noticed the prices too ---- $412 each way for NS from Indy to MCO. I'm guessing they'll go down --- at least I hope!

BTW - I'm originally from Pittsburgh. :)

I know a number of people when the fares for Airtran came out for Aug/Sept were able to book thru Disney same flights much cheaper than what was posted on the AT site
You might want to inquire and see what Disney is offering fares for .

Those prices you quoted are insane :scared1:

Re: the crazy Airtran prices.... check back tomorrow or the day after and I can guarantee you the prices will be back down to their normal ranges. I was looking for Airtran info here in the DIS and a couple other people tipped me off that when Airtran initially posts their flights, the prices are ABSURD for a day or two. Then they go back down to be in line with their other flights.

So no worries. I know I panicked at first too, but 24 hours later & I got my tickets from Ohio to MCO for $117 each way.

:goodvibes

The prices for our flight went from $412 down to $124. Thank goodness! Off to call DMIL to confirm that the trip is still definitely a go before I buy the tickets.....

Super excited...just booked our October trip. Please add us for...

Wilderness Lodge - 10/9 - 10/15

Thank you!

p.s. can anyone share what to expect for fall decorations and the parks in general? Trying the Halloween party but what else? :confused3

I fly Jet Blue but at least they come out with normal ticket prices the first day, with taxes I booked HPN to MCO for 240.40 RT.
Glad to hear AT came down on the fare prices for all of you waiting to purchase tix
