With Airtran releasing their flights for October, dh told me with the times that they have now for there flights I should book one more day. So it looks like we might be going on the 20th instead of the 21st now. Not sure I am on the boat with that knowing how Airtran keeps changing flight times.

What do you mean they keep changing their flight times? I need to read up on that. We just booked with them. How soon before a trip might they change them?

THANKS so much for your reply and your help!!!

Awww C'mon guys.....DO TELL!!
You don't have to be specific in regards to dates and times

I'm hoping to score the following ADRs for Table Service, in no particular order:
Kona Cafe (Macadamia Nut Pancakes & French Press coffee - YUM!)
Sci-Fi Dine In (1st time - for burgers & shakes)
Yak & Yeti (1st time we haven't done FlameTree BBQ)
Tonys Town Square (DS10 LOVES spaghetti!!!)
LeCellier (DH & I have been before - 1st time for my boys)
The Plaza (Great sandwiches and shakes)

And here are a few probable Quick Services:
Caseys (3 boys = Corn Dog Nuggets!!)
Contempo Cafe (convenient to BLT)
Beaches & Cream (for Kitchen Sink)
Wolfgang Puck Express (1st time - highly recommended)
Main Street Bakery (awesome for a quick breakfast)
Great choices- note that Sci Fi doesn't list the burger on the lunch menu, you have to ask for it, but they do offer it. We haven't been able to give up our Earle to try WGPE yet- i hear it is fabulous.
Thanks for sharing! Your choices sound great! There are so many restaurants I want to try but there is NO way to fit it into one trip! I guess we will have to go back again! :rolleyes1
Here's a few of the TS we are considering:
Chef Mickey's
Akershus Princess Storybook Dining
Crystal Palace
Tusker House (Donald's Safari Breakfast)
Teppan Edo
O'hana
Hollywood & Vine or Mama Melrose
T-Rex

Some CS I want to try:
Columbia Harbour House
Wolfgang Puck Express
Earl of Sandwich
Flame Tree BBQ

I need to do some more "research" on the CS restaurants. I thought I might leave those to chance and just see what we are in the mood for at that moment!
more great choices. we love Flame Tree as well!
:rotfl:Well, I do have a list going on my PTR but will be changing a few things when we sit down as a family and talk about it this week. Spring Break and no place to go. DD keeps saying she wishes we were going this week. My problem is there are just so many places in Epcot that we want to eat. I can't narrow it down. Throw in Food & Wine and I'm glad for all the walking to work some of it off.
i know, i could just eat at Epcot the entire trip!!! our strategy will be to eat lunch at F&W on the two mornings we are there, then do our ADRs at night, that way we try and avoid some of the F&W crowds/lines.

This is our problem as well. Hubby and I sat down last night and worked out most of it. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Food & Wine Festival and I love to try all that new food! But....if it's free dining, we need to eat somewhere. From our current plans, it looks like we're gonna nix Coral Reef and opt for the Drive-In at DHS when we're over there (we get up early, so we tend to eat early lunches compared to most people). However, we've got Restaurant Marrakesh, Tutto Italia and the San Angel Inn on our list of places to eat at.

I promise to post more about our ADRs in a bit (I'm actually trying to work too. lol).
can't wait to see the final ADR list!

With Airtran releasing their flights for October, dh told me with the times that they have now for there flights I should book one more day. So it looks like we might be going on the 20th instead of the 21st now. Not sure I am on the boat with that knowing how Airtran keeps changing flight times.

As for ADRs we are looking at:
Ohana's (Love, love love it there)
Yacht Club (first time)
Akershus Princess Storybook(Breakfast)
Chefs de France
Tonys
Whispering Canyons (one of my family favorites)
Lilo & Stitch (breakfast)
1900
Crystal Palace

On the fence for Mmam Melrose or Hollywood and Vine for the package
yeah for coming in earlier! We are booked at Mama Melrose- will be our first time. We love Ohana too- we are doing breakfast and dinner there this time. We've done dinner there the last 3x trip. i just love the potstickers, noodles and dessert. DH loves it too, so it is a must each trip. We had horrible service last time, but we still love the food.

What do you mean they keep changing their flight times? I need to read up on that. We just booked with them. How soon before a trip might they change them?
interesting- i had heard how they change them more often than other airlines. i've had AA change ours, but usually by only 20-40 minutes and usually it is changed like 4-5 months beforehand (we book early typically). here is a thread i found about Air Tran on the DIS and changing- if that helps.

I'm so glad that all the schedules and info are out... but it means I am almost done planning! :scared1: Of course, I can't book my flights until May 22 (we are using our credits with Southwest for our flights, and we won't have earned all the points we need till our flight May 21st...) so I guess it's possibly our plans could still change slightly. :rotfl:

I am 99.9% sure these are the ADR's for our trip. We have decided to skip Fantasmic! since for a 25 minute show we decided not worth the wait or eating someplace were not that keen on just to get the F! Pkg.

As of now(this may change) we decided to skip MNSSHP because the main reason for this trip was to attend F&W and try restaurants in Epcot that we have never been to before and why we are staying at the BC.

We are on the DxDP and plan to use our Snack Credits at the F&W Festival, DH has a hollow leg so although it is a lot of food he should not have a problem , myself on the other hand will probably be stuffed to the gills :rotfl:

We typically fly AirTran with no problems. The only changes we've had were a couple minutes. :thumbsup2

After you're booked, I would recommend pulling up your Itinerary every couple weeks or so, just to verify. There have been reports here on the DIS from people who have had their Non-Stops cancelled or their flight times changed by a couple hours. If the changes are significant, you should receive an email with the opportunity to Accept or Decline the change.

Looks AMAZING!

I just booked our October trip. We are going Oct 22-29, staying at CBR. We have never been to WDW at this time of the year. We have 1 DS who is 7. We are surprising him. We were there in March 2010 and he asks all the time when are we going back. We are excited to go to Food & Wine and MNSSHP. We are trying to think of costumes now.

We have not booked flights yet. We are not around a major airport. (4 hrs away from Chicago) so direct flights are few. There is one out of an airport 60 min away, flights right now are 147 1 way. So not sure if I should just bite the bullet and book or hope it goes down.

Whew! Made it through all 25 pages. Now I can introduce myself.

My name is Christy and I've been sober for 45 min...oops! Wrong group. Sorry 'bout that. :flower3:

This will be my first trip back to Disney in 17 years (gulp! where does the time go?!). This will be my DH (45) and DD (7 - we'll be celebrating her birthday) first time to the big Mouse Ears.

Dates: Oct. 9 - Oct. 15
Hotel: All-Star Music

We'll actually be going with another family so planning is already developing hiccups since we don't all run on the same schedule. I'm the anal retentive planner of the group so I'm already bugging everyone to pick a Halloween costume to wear to MNSSHP.

Sooo...who has the brownies? And what 'cha wearin' to the Halloween party?

Wow, that is some great eating!!!! i can't wait to hear all about how yummy the food is! ;)

HI Christy- welcome! yeah for their first trip! I am the OCD one too in my family, luckily my mom and one sister are disney geeks too, so they understand. And fortunately my DH just goes with the flow. He won't admit it, but I think he knows that my psycho planning actually works and we see so much more than we would without the planning and he appreciates it deep down. I know it is hard planning with another family though- hope it goes well!!! What night are you planning for MNSSHP?

I'm eyeballing Tuesday, Oct. 11th. I'm hoping that crowds will be lower since FL schools will be in session and the Columbus Day weekend crowds will be home.

DD has already decided that she wants to be a ballerina for the party since she has a really cute ballerina dress-up outfit from Grandma that needs public exposure.

I just looked at the calendar and realized that today is March 28 :scared1:, which means that the Special Offers from Disney expired yesterday! I wonder when the next batch of Special Offers will come out? I am hoping in the next week or 2. Does anyone know how long from the time one set of offers expires until the next set is released? I'm just curious. I'm hoping this next batch (whatever it might be...Free dining, room discounts, Kids stay free, etc) is for dates AFTER October 1! :goodvibes

I am sincerely hoping something will come out the first week of April... maybe even April 1. I haven't made my changes with Disney yet because I really don't want to go through the hassle of canceling and rebooking twice!! :rotfl: If nothing has come out by the end of next week, I will go ahead and do it, but I am still keeping fingers crossed!

We are planning MNSSHP on Oct 11th too :) maybe we will see ya

We are hoping to attend the MNSSHP for the first time on our trip this October. There are four days that it's being held while we are there - Sept.30, Oct. 2, 6, and 7. Any ideas on which might be a better date to plan for? I thought I read somewhere that the Oct. 2 can be a crowded time b/c of those running a marathon on the 1st receive free passes to the MNSSHP.

I'm hoping to hold off and get my ticket close to the time of the event as to be able to check the weather, but would like to have an idea of what day we should plan/watch for. Any suggestions on when the best date (or two) of the four might be?

Heya all Please add us
We are going back to Disney YAAAAAAAAAA
Quick Breakdown:
Oct 9th-14th AKL DVC Kidani 2br villa
MNSSHP Oct 10th
Also hitting IOA for WWOHP as the final day on Oct 13
Just doing QSDP so no ADR plans

As you can see in my siggy we have been to orlando 3 years in a row. I love Disney and somehow I am able to get my Husband to take us back. Every year he complains but we get to go :)
This year my amazingly awesome sister has gifted us FREE DVC points for our stay. So we get to spread out in a 2 bedroom villa WHOOO HOO! We are going as a youth group for an educational class which will give us a ticket discount! DH's work also is gifting employee's 4 1 park 1 day passes to either US or IOA so we get in there for FREE. With all these great savings we are splurging on the MNSSHP for DD17.
This trip is mostly a graduation gift for our 17 yr old with a little birthday celebration for my middle DD's 12th Bday. DH birthday is the 14th and he teasingly says his gift is leaving Disney on his birthday.
We have done DDP on our past trips and feel like we can skip it to save time and money.

Since this trip is shorter then our previous ones we are going to take advantage of the EMH. We Usually arrive on Sat and leave the next Sat but this time we are going Sun to Fri.

Right now I am very tenative about the following:
Sunday 10/9~ Arrive and go to DTD for dinner or maybe go to Contemp and watch fireworks
Monday 10/10~ AK EMH am then MK MNSSHP
Tuesday 10/11~ Epcot Youth group class then EMH pm
Wednesday 10/12 ~ MK for Wishes and Parade
Thursday 10/13~ US/IOA for WWOHP

That would be too awesome!

I would probably aim for Oct. 6th. The 30th and the 7th are both Fridays which means locals will be able to come to the party since it's not a school night. And I'd avoid the 2nd because of the runners. It just seems that the 6th will give you smaller crowds.

Woo Hoo! Finally booked our air fare last night! :cool1: We are going October 23rd to the 30th and staying at POFQ with the awesome pin I got in the mail. So excited because now it means we are really going! Just waiting for the end of April so I can book our few ADR's we want.

Hi there- my best friend and I will be staying at BWI from 10/26-10/30 to celebrate birthdays together-minus the kiddies!!!

I had a question though and sorry if this has been discussed already as I havent had a chance to really read through the thread- in regards to the hours that were just posted on the TA website I do not see any PM EMH's? Do you think the schedule will still change and some will be added. We are not doing the MNSSHP so I was planning on doing MK on the saturday (29th) and hoping for PM EMH's. ( actually hoping for any PM EMH's so that we can do some park hopping) What do you think the lieklyhood will be? thanks!

should be a great day to go. So cute on the ballerina! :thumbsup2

the weekday ones are usually less crowded, but you are right, the race crowds could affect the 2nd more than the other dates. I haven't heard of MNSSHP selling out except for the parties the week of Halloween. So you should be good waiting to buy. I would try for the 6th- a Thursday is usually pretty good. More locals come to the weekend ones. Plus the 30th/2nd is the first weekend of food and wine too- so just more crowds in general. i think the 6th is your best bet, followed by the 7th.

i am so jealous of everyone booking air fare. it is driving me nuts that we haven't booked yet. :rotfl: congrats on the pin!
