Leaving in 11 hours!! :yay:

Still packing OMG! Flying 5555 miles to see the mouse is not an easy task ;)

POP here we go!

So excited!

I'M IN THE SINGLE DIGITS!!! 9 DAYS! So excited!
I did online check in last nite "check"
I added my credit card to my KTTW "check"
I am working on my LGMH today "check"
My list is getting smaller!

Couple questions for ya'll. How the heck do you attach the luggage tags to you suitcase? I went to do that last night and, it just didn't make sense to me.
Also, I know this is a HUGE LONG SHOT but i would like to add Ohana on Oct 21. Lunch or dinner. Right now I have the Aloha show reserved. If anyone has Ohana and would like to switch with me, or is planning on dropping the ressy for that day please let me know!

someone posted a video of how to do the tags because it's hard to explain. the plastic attachers split - they don't look like they do. let me see if I can find the video.

We are chatty today! I'm sorry you didn't get the job Katie :( Hopefully it just means something even bigger and better is coming your way!!

Congrats to all the single digit dancers!!! I'll be joining your club soon, only 15 days to go! Darn kids are getting too smart and have been snooping around in the stuff hidden in the bedroom :scared1: I'll be lucky if we can keep it a secret much longer :sad2:

Thanks! I was pretty angry/depressed yesterday. But its a new day which means new beginnings! And only 18 days till we leave!!!

Going to wash all of our clothes today for our trip and start packing! :cool1: We've never gone for so long before. This trip is 8 days, and before we've only done long weekend trips. So this will be sort of a challenge trying to get my outfits in order. I'm up for it though :)

6 days to go until our flight and 7 days until we check in to the Poly :cool1:

I'm getting that DIS worry thing going on about the weather. It's showing rain and while I don't mind some rain or quick thundershowers, I did block an entire day at the cabana and I'll be bummed if it is cancelled. At least I have enough days on our park tickets that we can head over if we can't swim. But we just love to swim. Oh well, can't control mother nature! And of course, the best laid plans...

I didn't get. I was their number two choice. The girl they hired? Just came back here from working at Disney. And full of energy and blah blah blah. ughhhh
Sorry you didn't get it!:sad1:
BTW - where do you work?

Question for those doing LGMH's what do you use to attach them to your bags? I'd prefer not to use pins as I don't want holes in my bag. I was thinking some thick yarn. I need suggestions. How many do you usually make? I was thinking 5 in case some get destroyed or some catastrophe happens. Is that too many? Not enough?
I think I made 5 last year - but we probably only used 1!
I punched a hole in the top and attached it with twine to the strap of my Disney Dooney bag.:thumbsup2

Oh Nooooooooooooo! Don't let the secret out now! You're so close!!!!!!!!!!

I know!! That's what I'm saying! They thought they were so smart and talking amongst themselves and convinced they are going. I have Mariah convinced, but Alyssa has always been one of those doubting Toms. She will be doubtful up until we leave and then she will say "I knew it!". So our packing is on total 100% hold until the night before we leave which will make things hard.

We have a new way to tell them now, too. The older 2 are going to school like usual. Ellie(the youngest) is still in elementary and doesn't start until 55 minutes after the older 2. Our normal routine is she rides with when we drop them at school, then we return home to finish getting ready for school/work. Instead of finishing getting ready for school/work, Brent will be back home after going to "work"(getting gas, last minute errands) and we will tell her we are going to Disney. We will finish getting ready, I'll go get the older 2 for their "dental appts", we'll come home for them to brush their teeth for the dentist *wink wink* and Ellie will tell them we are going and leaving NOW! I'm sure they will be like we knew it! But that's ok, that's life. They'll still be excited. Even though they will probably still have doubt and think we are going they don't know when!

It's really hard to pull things over on 2 preteens! Especially when we have been planning this for 18 months now!

 That's a great plan B! It'll be fun pulling it over on them until you leave, though, and I think sending them to school that day will be the real trick. They'll wake up every morning thinking, "is this the day??" and then go to school. So they'll never suspect it! Good luck! :thumbsup2

We are also suppriseing my 8 yr old son. My mother in law will be driving my husband and I to the airport early to do check-in's, etc. then we will set her up with the video camera. Then my parents are bringin my son to the airport because they have to "pick up their friend". He will stay the night with them the night before so I can pack. When they get to where we are in the airport (in camera range), they will meet us, and I'm going to give him a box, (he will already be confused why we are there), and in it will be all the Disney stuff, and an a note saying we are leaveing RIGHT NOW! I can't wait! He has never been to a theme park, and he has never been on an airplane. I think his head my explode! He knows we are going to Disney, but he thinks we are going next year!

LOL that's what I was thinking, we'll only need one, but I wanted to make sure! TWINE why did I not think of twine. Thanks!

I work for a company that sells copiers/printers/ business solutions/onsite help.

Yeah, it is. Especially nowadays, kids are to smart for their own good! Just keep denying it, and I'm sure it will work out!

I'm down to 9 days! I just had to post so I could see my ticker.:yay:

:cool1: we leave in the morning too! Can't wait - well not for the 7 hour drive but to be there - finally - we booked in Feb. One night at ASSP then onto YC. DS wants to eat dinner at EOS tomorrow night so hoping for no traffic.
