Time change (and Disney excitement) has me awake super early!!!!!

AKL is the most gorgeous resort I could imagine, better than I could imagine in fact!

We have the most amazing Arusha view, just a few steps off the lobby. I cannot wait for the sun to rise, as we arrived in the dark last night.

Oh and I check the weather too, its amazing how many times and how much those long range forecast change. 3 days is about the max for accuracy.

This time next Friday I'll be on a plane to Disney World I've got everything packed that can be because I have to get caught up on homework this weekend and next week I will have to work alot of overtime to get everything done before I leave. I need costume help! Current suggestions on the table:

Haunted Mansion characters (but could be hard to get costumes....)
Princess Aurora and Maleficent
Aristocats (Toulouse and Berliose)
Cheshire Cat & White Rabbit
Siamese Cats from Lady & the Tramp
Adventurers' Club characters

Looking for Disney characters, something that would get interaction...

And we have to be able to put together/get it in time... Thanks!

Me and my friend are doing a simplified version of Mickey and Pluto. I'm going Pluto, so I'm wearing a yellow hoodie and yellow shorts with the green collar and I'm putting the ears on the hood and the tail attached to the pants. So if you can sew (or dye fabric) then I think you can do that with the simple animal costumes. But if you need help, just PM me! Making costumes is a hobby of mine

Boy that sure changed, literally overnight! Maybe it will again - back to At least most of the percentages are 30-40%. SOME rain is always expected in WDW.

A note to everyone...be sure to double check them times for Fantasmic during your trip. They have added more shows.

This will be one of my last posts. I leave Wednesday, but have Tuesday booked with physical therapy & doctor's appointments. That leaves only Monday to finish my projects. I'm trying to take deep breaths and not freak out, but it's hard.

2 weeks from today for us, too!

I packed some things away in my suitcase tonight that I know I won't need between now and then, or that I bought specifically for the trip.

I made a trip out to our closest Disney store today (45 minutes away) and bought my Minnie Mouse ears to go with my costume.

DD's custom-made Animal Kingdom dress arrived this week. Now I am waiting on DS's Halloween costume. I may call the company about that tomorrow.

The only thing I have left to buy (I think!) is a small sketch pad to use for our autograph book.

5 days left until we leave! Whooo so exciting.

I'm getting my oil changed and my car cleaned for the trip today since I'm in atlanta and there's a place that does both (pretty cheep too).

Today I had to go to a ceremony for my friend that died earlier this year and I found out that I knew someone else who commited suicide last year. Kinda depressing right before our big trip

I called the company from whom I ordered DS's costume, and for some reason they had not shipped it yet!! Customer service called me today and said it should arrive at our house by Tuesday, 10/6.
