Hey Gang! Are we there yet?!?

I need to buy some things...but man money is getting tight. Last year when we planned and paid off our trip we were much better financially..and now I am feeling guilty..I am an obsessive saver and we were doing wonderfully and now DH OT is gone for now and everything in the world has gone wrong..kids having surgery, DH kidney stones had to have surgery off of work, my car..things keep going wrong. I could really use some pixie dust. Don't get me wrong our bills are being paid and on time..but I miss having extra money...and I feel that we shouldn't be taking this trip since I don't have a lot of extra money right now...

On the bright side, trip is paid for and I can't get the money back..so at least I am not financially strapped and trying to come up with the rest of our payment...

We are headed to Old Key West October 4-7,09. I am still trying everyday to get BayLake Towers. We are SO Excited. We will be at the MNSSHP on Oct 6.

Oh boy, I know what your saying. My DH lost his job this summer, and even though our trip is paid for, there will be extra expenses. I guess I'll be using the credit card. We really need this trip.
As long as you are all healthy, maybe this trip will let you catch a break in between what life throws your way. I hope you have a wonderfull trip.
I figure we'll pick up where we left off when we get home, but our 8 nights at WDW will be just for our pure enjoyment, and escape from the real world.

I hate the idea of using a credit card, but we need a vacation. We haven't been anywhere really since last August and that was Disney. We did go see my mom but she bought the plane tickets (her treat to us) so that trip was just a weekend get away. But I ready to escape some reality and try to relax just a little bit!

Hey there!!! I know how you feel, I lost my job last October. DH and I always planned to celebrate our first anniversary in WDW, but there was a while when I felt like you did. And then DH said something I will never forget: "If we spent this whole year struggling to get through this and then we do nothing at the end of it, what was the point?" We try to vacation every year because we believe people needa break from their lives, nd what DH was saying was that this year was particularly hard on us, but we made it, we're still alive and we put ourselves on a budget (a super strict one all be it) to be able to go on this trip. Life throws you curve balls sometimes, but at the end you just have to celebrate "gettin' through it!" Go to Disney, have a wonderful time, celebrate you life and your family. Celebrate your ability to save, even in tough times. Have a wonderful time and forget about the everyday troubles. Disney is magic so I don't think that will be too hard

We had a similiar discussion a few months back......DH will be filing for a disability retirement after we return from Disney & our lives will change in ways I've yet to imagine. So we had the "do we xc the trip vs trip is 95% paid off." DH reminded me that we've been working toward this goal a very long time & that it maybe many years before we can do it again. So we are going to have the most magical time we can have; Something for our kids to remember

I'm so very excited! I just booked today to celebrate our 13th anniversary at our "forget about the rest of the world" place. DH, DS, DD and I will be staying at CBR from 10/18 - 10/25. After our last trip, I did not think we would be going again for a very long time, but my DH decided we needed to go back and who was I to disagree! Yipee!

22 days to go! i havent started packing just yet. i think everything is bought except we need new batteries for the camera and i need to buy some american $$$$ but the dollar shot up today, so im holding off for now.

So we got our Mickey Mail 2 weeks ago or so........and I can't help but want MORE MICKEY MAIL! I mean, I want (NEED) something more. aaarrrrggghhhhh!!!!!!

They should send out little cards or something every week from a month out. The days are passing very slowly now.

haha...i do have some change! But I think that I have $45 Canadian. I keep teasing my husband that I am going to pay at LeCellier with my monies! I have had this money for at least 6-7 years. I used to spend quiet a bit of time in Toronto! I love that city!
