I'm writing a paper on the two free ticket promotions. Obviously the GAD promotion was capped at one million people, but does anyone know what the numbers were for 2009? More specifically how many people actually took advantage of the tickets, not just registered their birthdays.

Thanks!

dont know what the numbers were. but I would be interested to know. My family had yrly passports. so we took my mom. She hadnt been to Disneyland for 20yrs. so she enjoyed it on her birthday plus her grandkids too. on side note..since we had the pass...we got giftcards on birthday..for the price of the park ticket.which we used to renew our passes!

I don't think Disney ever released exact numbers.

GAD was restricted to 1 million registrations - not actual redemptions. So there were probably significantly less than 1 million redemptions.

I moved my trip by a week to make it on my b-day and totalllllly spent the heck out of that 75$ gift card. (We are AP holders).

There were SIGNIFICATLY more b-day buttons that whole year for sure. (Though you never know which ones are real... And people like me who turned 34 took there buttons off and have them to our DDs :) )

We went in 09 for Halloween. We had two birthday people with us, DH and DGD. Both received gift cards 75. and 63.. It was a great treat for DGD. We ate for two days on those two cards! ( quick serve of course.) Going for my B-day over July 4. Wish they still had it to offer
