We are thinking of attending the Mickey Christmas party. Can someone give me pros and cons before we buy tickets when they come out?

Since we are going Thanksgiving week, we would probably have the same experienceWe went to the last one offered in 2019. Our big mistake was going the only date offered during Thanksgiving week. It was packed. The parade was really great, but lines for everything else was really long. If you can go mid week not right next to a major holiday, I think you'd have a better experience.
Some were, especially the high demand ones like CRT and BOG. Quite a few QS were too. Casey's and Pecos Bill's for sure. I think they usually release a list. Also, in the past, if you didn't have a park ticket, but booked someplace like BOG for 5:55, they did let you stay to eat, but you were escorted out of the park after.Since we are going Thanksgiving week, we would probably have the same experience
I know the park closes early, but were the restaurants still open?
I've been looking too. It looks like selection has been hovering at around 15 bands so I'm waiting. The magic band+ is supposed to release sometime this summer so I'm guessing they're gearing up for that and just selling existing stock. Is anyone hunting for Magic Bands - or have advice? My friends going are first timers and are getting frustrated trying to get bands. Should they just wait for now?
Same! The selection has been the same and not great for a while. Is anyone hunting for Magic Bands - or have advice? My friends going are first timers and are getting frustrated trying to get bands. Should they just wait for now?
That’s what I’m hoping for.Since Disney released Halfway to the Holidays, that must mean Christmas Party dates are coming this week!
The year we went, the only parties were the Sunday before and the Sunday after. The parks are way too busy during the rest of the week for MK to shut down early.Anyone who has gone to WDW in the past for Thanksgiving week, what days do they usually have the Party?
Thanks! Vaycay now approved! PhewGood luck!
In the past, party guests had the exclusive ability to book dinners after the party started at BOG and CRT and maybe a couple others. We took advantage of this for BOG as we couldn’t get it otherwise. It does eat into your party time though so a lot of people just eat something quick or eat early with a regular ADR before the party starts.Since we are going Thanksgiving week, we would probably have the same experience

Since we have a 10 year old and a 6 year old, we are going to do the Party. I feel like they will love that little extra Christmas experience! Thanks! Vaycay now approved! Phew

For my experience I would say I am not a fan. We gave it a go twice when tickets were slightly less expensive. The first time we went during a peak holiday time and it was so packed it was very unpleasant—so much worse than MK in the daytime. The next time we tried early November to beat the crowds. We did, but it was 50 degrees and raining all night so even with ponchos it was so freezing and the fireworks didn’t happen. There are no refunds for rainouts but they will let you rebook to another party night, so if u have the option of more than one party during your stay, book the first one to have backup options.
Yep!United just changed our flight down on us, but b/c of it, allowed for a change for no fee. So now we are arriving the night before. I quickly booked a room at All Star and we will move to Swan the next day as planned. The day we move over is also our only park day - so will leave All Stars, go to the parks, then will head back to Swan at end of day. Question is: can we charge to Magic Bands all day now (check out day?)
If your magic bands are linked to you account, it is all synced up to your current tickets and reservations. We have Magic bands from our trip in February. If we use those, how does that work with park reservations? Do they just automatically get uploaded?
