Official November 2021!

We’re going to Wilderness Lodge (Boulder ridge) in Nov but I was able to add on at ASmo! I had previously checked availability and CSR was least expensive but this AM it had availability for ASmo. Seems inventory def changes! I’ve seen some posts on various groups about such limited availability this fall. Next up come on AP and fireworks!

I put official on this thread so people can know to come here to discuss! People can go to the other one if they want to put dates. I hope that helps! If it’s confusing I can demote this thread. Life’s too short and good news is less than 6 months until we’re all back in Disney!

Nov 2012 is pretty darned official for us now! We have a 4 BR house booked in Windsor Hills, where 6 of us are staying for a week (Nov 27-Dec 4). That’s followed by a poolside condo at the same resort for just DD and me to enjoy a second week! Our flights and car rentals are booked as well.

This time, I am travelling with my DD, DSIL, and my 2 wonderful DGSs, who are 16 & 17. And... for the first time ever, we will be blessed with DSIL’s mother coming along! We are so excited for this, as it will be her first visit, and we have always wished that she’d been with us in the past to experience all the magic. An off-site house is perfect for us, as us grandmothers will each have our own bedroom and bathroom, and there is an en suite in each of the other 2 bedrooms as well. Plenty of privacy when needed, and comfortable common rooms to enjoy the togetherness. 😊

you definitely cannot beat the offsite prices! Without fast passes, dining plan (I know there are many opinions on this- but we happened to like it for budget purposes) there definitely are not as many incentives to staying on property right now IMO! I think for first timers too an offsite might be nice because as you mentioned you have more space and for some people being in the Disney bubble might be too overwhelming for a first timer haha

oh, the trials, tribulations and changes for our November trip are just beginning! So far we're on resort #4 for this trip!

#1 - Swan - it started as a pondering of using SW points for the 4 nights but it was like 200k pts and I didnt want to spend that many, so it ended up being a cash AP discount
#2 - then I found a regular room at BWI and switched to be in a Disney resort
#3 - then I found a new (and freshly refurbished) Nature view room at WL and since CCV is our home DVC resort we popped over there!
#4 - then DH asked about wanting to have a couch for sitting and drinking wine on after a park day and wouldnt you know, BRV had a 1-br open so I booked that!

Now, we should be done with BRV, but I'll be honest, if CCV opens up (which I highly doubt) then we'd move there!

Phew - now to plan for flights - SW comes out with flights on Thursday, but I think I'm booking Delta bc they have fabulous non-stop flights and SW just doesn't have the best timing for this quick trip for us...

95 days until I can book ADRs!!

Hey, folks.... ok here's the story. We have plans to be in WDW Nov 8-13. In years past (and for decades), I've been the WDW planner - - but now with all the topsy turviness, park reservations, etc. I don't even know WHERE to start (and I am already thinking I am WAY late in this). Any advice or great threads/Dis episodes, etc to go through that will discuss how to plan in 2021? (Staying off-property and have the hotel booked - but that's it) ANY help would be appreciated.

I'm by no means an expert but there is truthfully very little to plan in the current situation that we are in. That doesn't mean things wont change by the time our trips roll around, but currently, this is really the only things that can be planned:

- Hotel
- Transportation #1 - driving, flying, etc.
- Transportation #2 - transportation within Orlando, to/from airport, to parks, etc (rental car or uber)
- Park reservations - Kinda hard to do without knowing park hours or if special events will be back (such as Christmas event). Truthfully, I wouldn't be surprised if park reservations became easier and easier to get as the year goes on and capacity increases. I know the CEO said the current system would say, but it may be more a system to track who is going to which park (to help with staffing) and less a means to keep capacity below a certain level. I guess I can see it getting to the point that anyone that wants a reservation (within reason) can get one to whichever park they want.
- Start looking at dining reservations, but know the window is currently 60-days out

I would for sure book any park reservations and prepare for ADRs at 60 days out! No FP yet so no need to worry about that. If doing a rental car I’d book ASAP since prices are crazy

We're at BRV too!! Cant' wait to be back at the Lodge! I wonder when they'll put up Christmas decorations??!! We were there in the first 2 weeks of December last year and saw them but we'll be there a month earlier this year!

Usually, the Christmas decorations go up immediately following the Halloween parties.

I booked my SW flights for our November trip this morning!

Come on November!

:cool1:

I wish that we could fly but the airport in our town is small and the flights are soooo expensive. The closest airport that has decent prices are 3 to 5 hours away.

But, I remind myself that I pack way too much for our two week trip and baggage fees would be outrageous anyway.

That's a great way to think of it!! You can bring EVERYTHING!!!

and if I was able to go for 2 week's I'd pack it all too! :car:

First timer here- well first time in 31(!) years. My husband and I are going November 16-21st, staying at Pop Century. Two 30-somthethings with Disneyland under our belt.

I am so excited as this trip is kind of making up for a epic multi-generational trip for 15 I planned back in March 2020. We were supposed to depart on the 13th- Disney announced closing just 12 hours before our flight was to depart. It was such a loss after 2 years of planning!

After I got vaccinated in May I started looking back into a trip planning and we landed on November b/c my birthday is the 9th. I am so excited for Christmas at WDW, good weather and finally taking a Disney World trip after 3 years of planning. It might not be with my parents and siblings but we are gonna have a great time. I won't lie, I think my husband is way more into this version. :flower1:
