Driving down exactly 72 hours from now , just about everything appears to be all set with the exception of still trying to work out a better reservation for Ohana on the 21st. Have 2 reservations for parties of 2 each 5 minutes apart from each other, as I could not get a single reservation for 4, in the hopes that they would be able to seat all 4 of us together but I sure would prefer to be able to change it to a single party of 4. Worst case we will sit separately as after 7 trips in the last 8 years I want to finally get to go to Ohana

Us too! 72 hours from now we will be driving off. We are obviously so super excited! The weather is looking amazing for Thanksgiving Week!

12 days to go annnnddd I just found out I'M PREGNANT!! Im sooo happy but also wondering what this means for the trip. I think that will put me 8-9 weeks while I'm there. Fingers crossed it will be like my first pregnancy without much morning sickness!

Thanks, it really was great. The gingerbread house at CR was nice... very modern, and it's got hidden Mickeys to look for. I did like the one at GF better because it's more traditionally decorated and it's an actual house. The one at CR is more flat to the wall. Parts stick out so it looks a little 3D, but you can't walk around it.

Agreed! Forgot to bring them for the kids tonight at MVMCP and felt like the worst parent ever! My daughter was complaining about being cold all night, mostly because of the wind. Considered ducking into a shop to buy one but we were so busy with the party.

Sidenote, I will never schedule a CRT during a party again. Reservation was at 5:55, got seated around 6:30, didn't finish until just before 8. Didn't have time to ride anything, just did the shows and fireworks. I was really hoping to get more out of the party.

Congratulations! In case you were wondering about Flight of Passage, there is very little actual motion to the ride. The ride vehicle does some tilting but doesn't bump or jerk. It is very smooth.

We are doing a split stay, our first night is room only and our package starts the next day. We have a 7:30 breakfast the second day, will I have to go check in to our other hotel first in order for our dining plan to be activated (have separate magic bands for each hotel) or should it already be good to go on our magic bands? Thanks in advance.

Both sets of MagicBands will work for your entire trip. You should be okay to go straight to the restaurant if you have done online check in. But if there is a problem with your dining credits you can always pay for the meal then go to the resort desk to have the dining credit applied and your money refunded.

Okay, how does everyone pack their ears in their suitcases for flights? I pre-bought my girls christmas ears and my hubby light up ones, and we're taking the bride and groom ears we wore 11 years ago when we went on our honeymoon...taking all suggestions!

Thank you for this! They seem to have loads on offer for that week after Thanksgiving, got one for 1st Dec, we had to be in the park for our CP lun ADR so it ties in wonderfully!

If anyone is looking go now! This is genuinely a FP I thought I had NO HOPE of getting at all, and takes the pressure off our first Epcot day (thanksgiving ahh!) a lot.

Okay, how does everyone pack their ears in their suitcases for flights? I pre-bought my girls christmas ears and my hubby light up ones, and we're taking the bride and groom ears we wore 11 years ago when we went on our honeymoon...taking all suggestions!

I nested them all in a 2 gallon ziplock bag and laid them on top of the carry on suitcase Has a combination of headband ears and the traditional hat style

Managed to get a 11-21 ADR for dinner at 'Ohana last night! My first Touring Plans reservation finder success! It was our favorite dining experience last June. Unfortunately DH had a head cold and really couldn't taste much of anything so he definitely deserves a do over.
We start our drive tomorrow around noon. I am about to pack up my suitcase. Can't decide if I want to dress up for Dapper Day or go for just being comfortable and casual. I am a notorious over packer anyway so I guess I'll be prepared if I decide to. So excited that's it almost here I can't really focus on anything else!!!

5 DAYS TO GO!! This time next week I'll be in Epcot!

Just spent two hours in the salon and now my hair is Florida ready! Going back again tomorrow for all my beauty bits!

In other news, I got a surprise lump sum of holiday pay in my final pay slip of the season, which entirely covers my spending money! YES! I feel better about only taking 6 days holiday this year now. My travel spending card came today as well, so I can load it all onto that. Bring british, we get charged for using credit/bank cards internationally. Worst case scenario our cards can get frozen if the bank doesn't know we are away, since they think it's fraud. So the travel cards mean we can spend without risking our cards, and without taking a huge pile of dollars around with us.

@EmmabaRose What a nice surprise getting your holiday pay! I'm getting my hair done on Saturday. My cousin that I've been helping is my stylist so they'll be plenty of Disney talk. I have really lucked out and managed to get some good ADRs for them and a Frozen fast pass too. I have to go over everything with them because I don't think they'll want all the ADRs I reserved. I hope I'm not driving her crazy with all the Disney planning.

Yes it was! At one point they were very much "use or lose it" with vacation days, so that cheered me up a lot. Puts me in a good position for the winter months when I don't work too! (also very glad I opted to borrow my mother's larger suitcase AND held off on joining Slimming World- bring on the snacks and souvenirs!!)

Actually, what does everyone recommend I try snack-wise? I intend to come back fatter than when I left.

It's nice to have a stylist in the family. I just went to where my mother goes, they actually did a very nice job. Have to go get everything waxed and plucked tomorrow! OUCH! I hope your cousin enjoys her trip too!
