OFFICIAL NOVEMBER 2017 THREAD

I’m not sure but I think Disney holds some tables aside for walk-ins at all their restaurants. Don’t quote me on that, but it may be worth a try to just walk in and ask if they have any tables available.

I'm pretty sure they don't hold tables for walk-ins. Some of the less-popular restaurants may have openings for walk-ins but the popular ones won't.

We have a split stay. 12th-14th room only at Pop Century. 14th-20th package with free QSDP and 8 day hoppers.
This is the plan we have so far. First few days are pretty set, but depending on how they go, we may change a lot of our later plans. It's only DH and I so hopefully we can change FPs easily if needed.

Sunday, November 12:
Fly Southwest from Grand Rapids to Orlando with layover in Chicago Midway. Leave 7:30 AM arrive 12:30 PM. This is the earliest we've ever arrived.
Take DME to Pop Century. Hopefully room is ready and we can drop off carryons. Otherwise, leave them at bell services.
Head to Epcot! Stop at guest services to activate tickets. Check for any available FP. Hoping for Soarin or Test Track. Or FEA, I'd take that, too. Hopefully get some decent FPs for Monday at MK.
Explore world showcase, get a few things from Food and Wine. Be in back of park for Illuminations. Slowly make our way out. This will be our first time in a park after official close. Can't wait! Bus to Pop.

Monday, November 13:
8:25 ADR at BOG. Get to gate by 7:30. After gates open at 7:45, get a couple pics on Main Street then head to BOG. We've already ordered online. Head to 7DMT by 8:35 (hopefully). If it works as planned, ride 2X, then on to Peter Pan. If they are still sending people through FP line, wait until standby queue opens as we have never seen it and would like to. Head to BTMRR after that, hopefully ride 2-3X.
Hopefully we will have some decent FPs picked up Sunday night, but who knows.
If it gets busy, hop for the afternoon (will check the app to see what parks looks like a good choice). Hopefully see parade at 2 before hopping.
Return by 7:30 for 9 PM HEA. Hit a few rides after that. Dumbo, 7DMT and BTMRR in the dark are on my "must do" list. Hopefully stay until after close (11 PM) again.

Tuesday, November 14:
Hopefully make rope drop for HS. We may be tired and not make it. If we do, hit ToT first.
9:25 RnR, 10:25 ToT, 11:25 ST.
See Fantasmic for 1st time ever at 8:30.
If we have any energy left, hop to Epcot for EMH until 11.

Wednesday, November 15:
Rope drop AK, but stay near back of FoP hordes. Go to NRJ first. Then use 9 AM FoP FP. Look around Pandora a bit.
Safari FP 11 AM.
Get lunch.
EE FP 12 PM.
See some of the evening entertainment including Tree of Life Awakenings. If Rivers of Light looks not packed, see it. Not interested enough to spend a lot of time waiting for it.
Get in line for FoP 7:45 as AK closes at 8. Slowly make our way out.

Thursday, November 16:
Epcot. There is 8 AM EMH, but it seems unlikely we will make it. We'll try though.
Hit Soarin (and LwTL if enough time).
9:20 Mission Space (we will likely tap but not ride at this time)
10:20 TT
11:20 character spot
Head to MK early evening for Christmas Party. We don't need to get pics with any rare characters, so it's not critical to get there early and get in line.

Friday, November 17:
Head to AK around 10?? Depends how tired we are.
10:35 EE
11:40 adventurers outpost
1:35 FoP
Head to HS for afternoon/evening?

Saturday, November 18:
Rope drop MK if we have the energy. I'm guessing we won't, though. LOL.
It's Dapper Day. Hopefully we see some dapper people.
10:40 7DMT
12:30 Splash
1:30 BTMRR

Sunday, November 19:
We have a 9:35 FoP. We may or may not keep it, depends on how the trip has gone so far.
Go to Epcot for a while. It is Dapper Day.
See some of the holiday things that start that day.
End at MK at midnight.

Monday, November 20:
Southwest flight at 12:20 with layover in Baltimore. Arrive home 5:30.

Your plans look great :thumbsup2
We stayed at POP for a quick trip in May and loved it.
Not only are we in MK together on the 18th but we have the same FP time for 7DMT and BTMR :goodvibes

Our family is coming in the day after us, should I mark on my touring plan room request for them to be near our reservation number ? I already called Disney and they linked us as traveling with. He said as long as they were linked on our MDE we were set.

I made it to the single digits!!! I hate packing, but now that we are in the 10 day forecast I feel more comfortable trying to finish up. We are sharing a suitcase between the 3 of us in days of 3, which makes it easier, especially since we have a split stay. I may have been up too early this morning buying last minute clothing on Amazon.:surfweb:

Used Amazon yesterday to get a hat for my daughter, thank you prime! 8 days out!

Remember to pack a ziploc bag of shiny pennies and quarters for the parks. I forgot to on our last visit.

Help we are supposed to fly to Florida today (separate from our Disney trip) and my daughter woke me up at midnight with an earache. Anyone have any experience with this, will they tell me not to fly with her??

I am in this exact same boat. Our party night is the 28th as well!
Us too! Ours is 6:45 but I've planned all along to only have dessert. We've had breakfast at BOG (kids did not like the food) but wanted to have a chance to see the beast so I grabbed our reservation a long time ago even though we have party tickets too. We don't plan to see any of the characters at the party so I'm not too worried about our time.

well I can say now that I'm in freak out mode. We've been planning this trip for 2 years and now 2 weeks away it doesn't seem real or feel real at all.

Started packing but can't really finish until the 19th.
I've been cleaning house. Got DD room together and purged a lot of toys to prepare for this trip.
We deep cleaned living room and decorated for Christmas we normally do this around the 10th of Nov so only a few days early this year lol
This week my goal is to deep clean our office and get all the laundry done up that didn't happen over the weekend.

Then deep clean bathrooms and bedroom as my younger brother will be house sitting while we are away. I need to go grocery shopping the week we leave to get a few things for him to munch on while we're gone (22 years old so go tos are frozen pizza and cereal lol)

Luckily it's a small house so none of this will be too bad. We bought all of our last needed snacks, tolieteries etc, this weekend and DD some new shoes.

We are on the sick train too and so ready and needing a healthy vacation. Father in law was diagnosed last week with a stomach ulcer, DD has been fighting sinus infection and allergies. took her to the Dr this weekend to find out she also has start of ear infection. Got her fixed up with meds so she should be on the mend soon. I'm all ick again with congestion and mess. Hopefully my meds start to work soon. It's just a hot mess.

:grouphug: I totally understand you. I said I am never planning this far out again! Been planning for 18 months.

I spent all day deep cleaning my house yesterday, so it will be clean when we get home. My in laws are going to be arriving the same night we get home! I also had to cat proof, because they're evil and will knock everything over lol.

I started freaking out at the 2 week point, too. I'm finally starting to really be excited even though I hate packing. Hang in there!!

I started to do some cleaning last weekend. Cleaned out my & DD's closets. Got rid of a bunch of old clothing. Need to do some deep cleaning this Saturday so it's all clean when we get home. Plus we have people coming to take care of our dogs. I got my pennies and quarters together last night. Got most of DD's outfits planned out. Need to buy a few more items for her, need to buy some more clothing items for myself, and need to get the snacks/toiletries too.
