OFFICIAL NOVEMBER 2017 THREAD

Hoping to go nov 1-5, 2017. Is there any hope on getting free dining?
I just checked mousesavers and the blackout dates in November in 2014 started 11/2, in 2015 it was 11/1 but last year it was 10/2-11/14. Based on the bounce back though it doesn't look promising for FD but you never know!

So gearing up big time for the vacay!!

Got this exact jogging stroller last night for $30 at a consignment sale! We were needing a bigger stroller and no need to rent one when we get there. It literally takes up my trunk in my camry :( but my in laws are driving down with us in their jeep so it will get to ride there :)

Super excited about how easy it is to fold and all the room it has for storage and for DD

We just bought a stroller ourselves! We have a store that sells overstocks and returns from Amazon. I bought a double umbrella stroller for $40. It was new in box, which doesn't always mean it is new in box. But after I got home it really was and everything was there. We'll take it down and leave it at Disney (anyone need a free double stroller after 11/24??) and have the extra space for coming back!

Dropping in to let you November DISers know that MK will close early on Thursday, November 30th. It's the private CM Service Celebration that will be held that evening and MK should close at 4:30p.

Hope it doesn't impact too many of you!

Thanks for the heads up - I DID in fact have MK listed on my evening plans for the 30th. :guilty: Time for a switcheroo!

That's a great deal for that stroller! We have a double umbrella stroller we bring for our 3 kiddos. My oldest DS is too old for it now but my DD might go in it occasionally. My DS4 goes full speed and crashes so he will definitely need it still. I will be sad when they grow out of it because I also get excited for extra storage, LOL.

My mom, my dd and myself will be there 11/24-12/2! Staying at AOA 11/24 and CBR 11/25-12/2! I'm really hoping for FD, but I know that CBR Standard was scarce last year. If we can't get it, we will try for POP.

My last trip was 2012, so there is a lot New for us:
Magic Bands
FP+ (although, we did get to participate in a trial version in 2012)
New Fantasyland
Frozen Ever After
Avatarland
ROL
New Wishes
New Soarin'
And I'm sure many other things that I'm forgetting right now. This is a surprise trip for my dd's 8th grade graduation, so I can't really talk about it to anyone in real life. My mom LOVES Disney, but doesn't really get in to the planning. She just says "Tell me where to be, when and how much I owe!" My sisters know about the trip, but they aren't overly excited to listen to me talk about it because I disinvited them :rotfl2:!! (Neither one could really make the trip work!!)

Happy to have found fellow November 2017 travelers. We're going Thanksgicing week! We just booked today! The kids only miss two school days and we could not go this summer or before. I am excited to be there with Xmas decorations which I have never seen. I am now in full on planning mode. Last time in the parks was 2010. My husband passed away in 2011 and my DD was 2 when we went with him so this will be the first trip she remembers. I have a lot to research on the FP system and soo many new things to see and do. We did the Disney cruise in 2014 but I love the parks way more. We're going 11/18-11/24. My first question is "where is the best place to eat a traditional Thanksgiving dinner?" I want to book that first. Also...Best Character Breakfast?
-thanks

I saw a good review for a Trails End Thanksgiving dinner last week. It's buffet but had a lot of traditional Thanksgiving foods plus other stuff. Liberty Tree Tavern also has traditional Thanksgiving foods. I haven't eaten at either so I'm no help.

Character breakfast, we really liked Ohana & Tusker House for breakfast. Both had great character interaction, food was great at both & we had good service. TH is a buffet & has a lot of choices. Some traditional like Mickey Waffles & some more ethnic. Picky eaters & adventurous eaters were both happy. Characters had cute safari gear on. Ohana is family style which is nice. Stitch & Lilo are fun. Mickey is cute in his Hawaiian shirt.

Recently switched my plans from an October WDW trip to the DCL Magic NYC cruise so I do have my one day at WDW on November 15. Can't wait but it's going to be tough deciding on how to spend my ONE day. I do have a tenative plan but with Pandora being open, that may put a monkey wrench in my current plans.

We will be there from Nov 9-17! I love when the MK is decorated for Christmas it's so pretty.:)

My dates are November 1-6th…what kind of decorations will be up? Am I too late for fall? Too early for Christmas? Anyone want to venture a guess?

MK starts getting decorated right after the last MNSSHP. Last time I went around this time HS and AK were also putting up there Christmas decorations. Epcot didn't seem to have much decorating done. The resorts are different every year. Disney Springs was also decorated sometime during the first week of November.:)
