***Official November 2014 thread***

So this part has always confused me, since I've never lucked out with free dining in the past.

I'm booked for POR in november. In event it is offered and I end up having to change resorts... will it affect my ADRs that are made several months previous?

We decided that if FD is offered and POFQ is excluded again we'll move to either Beach Club or Contemporary. I'm hoping it isn't though, I really, really don't want to change resorts.

No, they are separate.

I want to stay at Beach Club so bad! But we decided if we do a few days in a deluxe with a split stay, it will be at the Poly for the monorail convenience. We still have to lug a stroller.
I would expect POFQ will be excluded. It was last year and with all the room-only discounts that have been coming out, it only offers 5% off versus the 20+ the other moderates have. It's just too popular.

It's the perfect resort to us and I'd hate to let go of it. I have my fingers crossed but I know it's unlikely. I have till August to decide though.

We're in the same boat as we've never been with the kids where we did have to sweat. In May last year it was just miserable and crowded.

We'll probably book as soon as vacation is approved and will do the switch if anything changes. We are looking at Art of Animation, so we'll have to plan on switching if things change.

So for timeline:

ADR's: We can start making sometime in May
FD: Could be announced in August
Fastpass+: Is 60 days out right? I'm assuming we'll be pre-booking for rides by then.

DH and I had to reschedule our January 2014 trip because he got the stomach plague on 12/29, we were set to leave on 12/31. Turns out it was for the best because the crowds this year were crazier than we saw during Christmas week in 2011. Plus, the thought of him having a relapse, me getting sick, or us getting anyone else sick in Disney was not on our list of things to do.

So, November 2014 is when we plan to reschedule. We have a F&F discount for room only, our tickets are purchased, and we've got our Magic Bands already. Now we just need to set our dates. We'll likely go around 11/14 or 11/16 for a week, staying at CSR.

HAPPY PLANNING!!

Possibly looking at going to 1st week of November in 2014 pending I can get off and we can take 2nd grader out of school.

I've heard mention that they sometimes offer Free Dining in Nov? When do you know. If you go ahead and book can you go back and add the free dining later?

That's exactly what we did. We booked the trip way back in Feb. 2013 and when the free dining came out months later for the time we were going to be there in Nov, I called and they put it in for me.

We did that too but unfortunately had booked POFQ so when the FD came out we had to switch resorts and POR didn't have any FD at the time. I believe another friend had POR but had to switch also because again at the time of her call to have it added they didn't have any rooms with FD, but it's my understanding later some rooms opened. Either that or it was because she requested a King room. Just wanted to suggest flexible so that you aren't disappointed if you have to switch resorts to get FD.

We stayed that week in November this past year. I didn't find it that crowded at all. Weather was actually warmer than I expected too.
Smiled when you said you have your MBs already. Don't be surprised if you ended up getting a new set when you book. LOL I have a pink one from November and now a red one for February.

BTW, I have a secret desire to go back in November 2014 but can't bring it up because family already thinks I'm crazy going already in 3 weeks. I joined this thread because.......blush.....November vacationers seem the most Disney Friendly. :lmao:

Happy planning everyone.

And us Novemberers are the best!

Hello everyone!!! Happy to finally find this board! We have been going to WDW during November/Dec. since our Honeymoon in '04. We were just there this past November, and it was great!

I'm so happy to see some of my fellow 2013 November Disers here too!!!

So we know so far that we are most likely going November 26th-Dec 7. Last year we did 14 days, but since DD starts 1st grade in Sept., we won't be able to take her out of school that long again! We did not book our stay yet, but booked our rental car! lol We are debating where to stay this year. I'm already in full Disney mode!!! I usually take a two to three month break after trips, but I feel so inspired to start right where we left off. 10 months of planning, here we come!! lol

I look forward to chatting with all of you!!

11/3-11/8 with DH for adults only trip - resort not yet decided upon... 10th anniversary trip - yay yay yay

:love2:

And us Novemberers are the best!

Just got back from the movies with DH and another couple. WHAT A GREAT MOVIE!!! I'm so glad we went. It has me so happy that I'm going in February and less afraid of going solo. "Rewriting the ending" of my story. wahooo! Love it. DH said tomorrow we can go get Mary Poppins Movie. I said not tonight cause I have to get my photo book worked on tonight so I can order it on Snapfish. They have 50% off until Monday.

Our friends said they hope to go back in 2015 with their kids. We said we would be willing to go at the same time to spend time with them there too.
And they asked if in a few years when there kids were a little older if we would do an adult only vacation with them. We told them of course.

Glad to know Walt Disney World is current, I might not have to wait so long for a future trip. yay!

Oh and DH said "don't tell me when you talk November 2014 you aren't serious. If I said lets go the flights would be booked!" I giggled.
It's a long 10 months, who knows I might be there. LOL

Happy Planning!!!!

Hi All,
My family is trying to decide on dates between October and November. We would like to attend a MNSSHP. I know dates for the party won't be released for a few months but I would like to get opinions on if you think there might be one on the night of Nov 2nd. With Halloween being on Friday this year, I don't see them closing the MK early on a Saturday and looking back at past party dates there is usually one additional party after Halloween. Thoughts on this would be much appreciated.

I agree it's very unlikely they'll close MK on a Saturday and judging by paste dates every time Halloween fell on a Friday the party would happen on Sunday, November 2nd. EasyWDW yearly calendar also says the party will be on the 2nd so I arranging my scheduled around that day.

I can't wait till May to buy our party tickets and even more important, ADRs!! Have you made your list yet? So far I have Grand Floridian Tea, Via Napoli, Cape May, 1900 Park Fare, California Grill, Flying Fish, Crystal Palace, Raglan Road, Tusker House, Kona Cafe and Mama Melroses.

This will be our first time going for the F&W festival, so I'm debating how to do my ADRs. Part of me wants to wing it and end up snacking around the world each night! We will have hoppers and are staying at the YC.

Today marks our 10 month mark before we check in at POFQ! I wish we could speed the time just a little bit! Who needs summer anyway!

If the dates being thrown around (9/26-11/10) are the actual dates to F&W I'll most likely will not be able to go. We'll be at Royal Pacific at the time and with no WDW tickets. I'm looking into getting my tickets before our POFQ check in date (on 11/11) but with the Magic Bands being shipped to POFQ I have no idea how I would enter EPCOT. I don't see myself spending $200 just to enter EPCOT so I can spend some more to eat! :headache:

Lol. I am on the August boards for the same reason! We leave for DL this Wednesday and November is booked, so there's no realistic way I'm going to get an August trip this year, but I haven't given up all hope yet :).

We were there this past Nov for our very 1st visit & LOVED it! :lovestruc We were there 11/14 - 11/19 at the Poly. This year we're hoping to go for Thanksgiving because I don't want to take my son out of school for very long. He'll be 7 yrs old then & in 2nd grade. I'm still debating which resort to try this time. Lots of work to do & saving to do to make it happen again ;)
