I am doing a mother daughter trip. Nov. 7-11. With 2 days at WDW...the 9th and 10th. I'm a little concerned about the crowds with the marathon and the F & W festival winding down at Epcot. Any experience over this weekend in the past? The local school systems have classes on Monday & Tuesday.....here in NC school is in session then also. Not a school holiday. Would Epcot be better on Sunday or Monday? Ideas?

During W&F avoid Epcot over the weekend, at least that is what we have done in the past. I would recommend going on Monday over Sunday. Happy Planning.

My advice would be to avoid Epcot over the weekend for W&F and Veterans Day, it was crazy crowded when we were there in 2011.

First Disney World Trip! Hubby and I will do Disney for 9 days, we are able to hit one MNSSHP and a MVMCP!

I'd love anyone's opinions about our first park day itinerary below. I want commando in the morning and more relaxed in the afternoon. If this is the wrong place or a better place for me to post please let me know. So excited!

Magic Kingdom Plan

RD. (Worried I won't be allowed to go to Frontier Land since they're funneling everyone to 7DMT)

May 2014, we had no problem heading to Frontier Land First after rope drop. What time are you planning on showing up?
9:00 head to/ ride BMTRR
9:15 Splash mtn
9:40 (?unsure of how long splash will take, and walking) Go ride POTC
10:00 jungle cruise!

Walk to Aloha isle and try dole whip

10:45 IASW Believe it or not , during our May trip, we needed to FP IASW, or you could check out Rapunzel restrooms instead
11:00 fastpass (hopefully) peter pans flight You will get this FP no problem try for 10:30-11:30am
11:15 eat with fastpass at BOG
12:30 Fastpass (hopefully) 7DMT Might not have choice of times for this FP but you will get one that day, try for 12:00-1:00pm

If you have time do Gatson's before LMM.
1:00 (? Unsure of time) Fastpass hopefully for Little mermaid ride YOu you get this FP no problem and try for 1:05-2:05
Now get another fast pass, and/or go meet Gaston, get some Lefous brew.
Rest by Rapunzels restrooms
Maybe monorail or boat (? Can we boat) to Kona cafe for some good coffee

You can take both to the Poly and pull another FP for either Space, Buzz, etc.. while plan to be in Tomorrowland


Ride Carousel of progress and people mover only cause we can relax and it's cool, aren't they? Haha. I also have heard Theresa on Dis podcast talk about these an I wanna see them now.
Hang out in main street, catch Dapper Dans maybe some parade. Eat popcorn, snacks. I dunno, shop?

We have dinner at Cindy's castle at 8:30!!! Then fireworks!! I'm a little worried about the late dinner time , Wishes is at 10 this night. Seeing them under the castle would be cool, but will we be able to??

YOu may even still be inside the castle having dinner and can see some of the fireworks from inside and they will pipe in Wishes. If you make it outside, head over to BOG to watch the fireworks
What do you all think of the plan? Any tips for the afternoon? Ideas on times at RD? Be at RD by 8:30 am at the latest if you want a decent view. What are your travel dates? Any advice at all is great!

Also I want to relax on Tom Sawyers island but are there snacks or chair on it??

After almost 2 years of up and down employment situations (laid off September 2012, hired July 2013, laid off AGAIN January 2014, hired for 4 month contractor assignment last week - DS laid off October 2013, apartment building burned TO THE GROUND the next week (moved in with me), employed again May 2014), decided that life is too short, sometimes (recently) too hard and that Disney is NEEDED in our lives!!!

So.....headed back on November 15 - 21 with DS (31) and DGS (will be 5). Snagged free dining, (YEA!) got all but one desired ADR's (YEA!), MCMVP tickets for 11/16 (YEA!) and paying down balance a little every week (YEA!)

Made construction paper chain (like the ones we made when we were little for the Christmas tree) and numbered each one. Grandson tears off one ring each morning and announces how many days are left until our Disney trip!

So...115 and counting!!

I totally agree with this sentiment! I'm sorry to hear things have been rough lately, but Disney is a great antidote for that. You'll have a great time of anticipation over the next few months, and an even greater time when you are actually there!

There seems to be EXTREMELY LIMITED availability on this. I've checked several resorts for our planned time frame, and NOTHING is available. I can't believe fall has become that popular that the resorts are already near capacity?! Glad I put a deposit in on a room in late May, because there is no availability now. Past years I've always waited until August to make reservations!

I agree. I was expecting better discounts along with better availability. We were expecting to add on a couple of nights, but now we may have to rethink our plan.

Woohoo! We just added one night at the Poly. We figured once the renovations are complete, we probably won't get this good a deal again. Now our dates are:

Nov 8-9 Poly
Nov 9-12 ASMusic

We were planning on adding another night at Hilton Head, but since we splurged on the Poly (we were originally planning on CBR), we're deciding whether to add it or not. So excited either way!

We will be staying Nov 20-28 at Coronado Springs with free dining! Very excited to be going back for Thanksgiving. I love the Christmas decorations but have always wanted to actually BE in Disney for Thanksgiving day! It is also my DH & DD7's bday on the 25th so we will be celebrating a lot!

We will be staying Nov 20-28 at Coronado Springs with free dining! Very excited to be going back for Thanksgiving. I love the Christmas decorations but have always wanted to actually BE in Disney for Thanksgiving day! It is also my DH & DD7's bday on the 25th so we will be celebrating a lot!

Almost the same dates as us at Coronado! We'll be there Nov 20-29 (and may add on Nov 30- since that is my birthday!). My dd has a birthday shortly after and will be almost 6 while we're there.
