***********Official "November 2014" thread- Come Join Us!!!! ************

Very impatiently waiting for the 30-day window so I can book the holiday tour and Fantasmic! dessert package! So impatient that I finally decided to make some progress by booking airfare and DLH for our spring 2015 trip! :rotfl:

That's quite the countdown! :cool1: But you shouldn't count the going home part! ;) And maybe add in the 'planning for next trip' part too! :)

Already did that :rotfl: At least last month I did, I have a trip to WDW planned with one of my friends (my 2nd, her 1st trip). So let me calculate... about:
322 days till my WDW trip!

We usually go to the world in November but we waited to book (did it Tuesday) so long we didn't like our choices when I finally decided we were going that the land was a better choice :cool1:.
WDW has Jersey week which is election week, that's when we'll be there. We picked DPP as DLH was booked solid and only club level suites were left at DGC, 500+ per night is a bit much for us :upsidedow.

This is a birthday trip for our turned 16 yesterday daughter, she cried when we told her, it was awsome.

Our flights suck, no on site golf but it's better than no Disney, right? And we get to go old school with the fastpass, so we have that going for us. Last (read only) trip to the land was pre world of color, so we're really looking forward to DCA this trip.... I'm about to bust I'm so excited!

Good for you! :thumbsup2 We also have our July 2015 plane tickets and hotel booked too! Also, dates are set for 2016 DL and WDW. I'm kind of a planner! :rotfl:

I'm excited for you too!:thumbsup2 My DD and I are going to celebrate her birthday at DL too - she is turning 13. What better place to celebrate? DD has also planned to celebrate my big birthday at Disney in 2016 ;)

How exciting! We have stayed a the Marriott Suites before and really liked it. This time we are splurging on the DLH, our first time staying there and visiting DLR during the holidays, so super excited to see all the decorations. We will be arriving on Friday, day after Thanksgiving ...only 42 more days!!

It sounds like you've been over Thanksgiving before. How bad do you think it will be that weekend? I expect crowds for sure, but normal weekend crowds or holiday super busy type crowds? We will do rope-drop for sure!
Have fun planning the rest of your trip!

I'm finally working on fine tuning all the details - buying our PP+, setting up airport transport and packing.

Ok, I'm not packing yet, but I'm making lists, at least!

I love the fine-tuning stage. :) I'm just waiting for my Fantasmic! and Holiday Tour windows to open up so I can make those reservations, then I'll work on my packing list. I'm also waiting for the Park Atmosphere section of the entertainment calendar to open up for our days so I can add some things to my list of things to do. I still need to decide on transportation to/from the airport - I have a car service booked right now but might switch to a shuttle.

So silly. I just call the number to book my WiWF tour, go over all my name and address details, which is difficult enough giving a very Dutch name and address to a non-Dutch person, when I realize... I'm giving her the wrong date! :rolleyes1 Tomorrow is 30-days in advance not today!

Good thing, no waiting music, I was assisted immediately ;)

Tried to book my traintickets as well, but the website froze when I wanted to fill in my details. Try again tomorrow, I guess.

Is it too much to hope for even the tiniest bits of Christmas decorations on 11/5?

Disneyland at proper Thanksgiving/Christmas time is still on my bucket list.

I am not sure what to expect for general decorations around the park. But on Friday, October 17th, we saw a substantial amount of holiday season merchandise available for sale. So at the very least, you'll be able to get a bit of Christmas in the stores.

I know a lot of people dislike having such merchandise out for sale so long before the official date of Christmas. But we were actually pleased to see it. For those that won't be able to visit the parks again this year, it's nice that there is still a chance to pick up holiday-themed items for gifts or use later this season.

We are at a month from yesterday! Waiting to book Holiday Tour, should be available early this week! Getting down there!

We'll be there November 14! :)

We too have our May visit booked lol I'm running the Tinkerbell half so it will just be a Friday-Monday thing but I'm so excited to spend Mothers day at Disney

I booked the train tickets and... I booked the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour!!! :cool1:

Oh my... this means that everything is booked. I'm all done! :D

Besides packing, we only have one more thing left to do - deciding on whether to purchase the Premium or the Deluxe AP :confused3

Yeah, besides packing (and picking up my mom's suitcase :P ). But I'm done!

For APs... it's 'only' $180 difference. With the higher discounts on dining and merchandise, I think you should be able to make good use of the premium AP.

I was wondering how are the crowds leading up to Veterans day?? I'm thinking about turning my future solo trip into a family trip, providing I can find a good deal on air/hotel. I went last year during Thanksgiving, and won't make that mistake again, even though I had a wonderful time. My DS10 doesn't do well in heavy crowds, so this is the reason I'm asking. I'm thinking about going just after Halloween, but before the full Christmas time celebration kicks in, if this helps.
