***Official November 2013***

Wonder if I can convince mine to watch it. We're doing a pirate-themed day this trip. But DS has anxiety issues about movies. He's doing fine with HP but now sure how he'd do with pirates.

We do plan to watch Up though.

I've been trying to decide if my boys can handle POTC before our trip also. My oldest son has anxiety issues too. : )

Me, too!

DH and I are doing our first ever "adults only" trip this year to celebrate our 22nd anniversary (2 months late). Every time I ask him for his opinion about the trip- dining, which parks, etc- he just tells me "Whatever makes YOU happy, sweetie..." :rolleyes1

25 years for us. We leave 10 days after our actual anniversary.
I'm getting a lot of what makes you happy, but recently he plays Disney Youtube videos on our tv. And he requested that if I get reservations don't worry about the money. LOL Ok sweetie!!!
We have never had a vacation other than our honeymoon that we didn't worry about the money. I'm ready!

Happy Anniversary! Were celebrating our 10 year 2 months early while we are there. I really wanted a trip for just the 2 of us since we never had a real honeymoon, but when we received the free dining pin it was too good to pass up and we couldn't afford to do 2 trips.
Was curious if you put on your reservation that your celebrating even though it is late. I added ours but at the same time feel a bit weird about it since it is 2 months early and they do ask for the actual date.

We will also be visiting two months before our anniversary too, 14th. :wave2: It will also be two weeks before my birthday. :cake: When a CM asks if we are celebrating, I always just say our annual F&W trip, though. :rotfl: Always felt funny about announcing a celebration, when really, we would go regardless. :confused3 But I do love picking out my own presents!

Happy early Anniversary to all!!!!

I really hope that in 3 years when we celebrate our 25th, that we can do an adult only Disney cruise.

Happy early/late anniversary to all as well!!!

We're in a similar boat. We're celebrating our 18th anniversary during our trip as well (actual date is about 2 weeks before the trip). But along with that we have our DD's 16th bday about 4 weeks before the trip, DS's 9th bday (and my 41st on the same day) about three weeks before the trip, and DW's bday during our trip.

Got lots to celebrate... :cool1:

We're hoping we can make our 20th anniversary an adults only WDW/cruise trip but I am doubting the kids will let us go alone... :)

MY boys laughed SOOOOO hard the whole way through. They are 13, 10, 6 (and 3 quarters ;)) - the 6 year old is more like a teenager though. The HP movies scared them a lot more.

Happy Anniversary to all. We celebrate 15 years this October. We were going to take a long weekend at a bed and breakfast down in Cape May, but I want to save all the money for Disney now. It is a very romantic trip with 3 kids, MIL and FIL ;)

Happy anniversary to you, too! We didn't specify anything on our reservation. We might let the waiter at Kouzzina know, since that will be our big anniversary dinner. But other than that, I don't think we will say anything. DH is a shy fellow who doesn't like a fuss made for him. Plus, he will say it doesn't count, since we won't be there on our actual anniversary (which is Saturday). We originally planned to be there this week, but had to reschedule due to an air conditioning $$ issue.

Yes I did put that in my profile for what we are celebrating. I mean honestly what difference does it make if you don't celebrate right on the day?
How many people have birthday parties before or after the actual day?

The timing to go on the actual day wasn't working out for us, so in order to have my friend and her husband join us seperate/same vacations, we pushed it out. Plus we were trying to avoid those crazy NJ people. :lmao:

But once I joined the boards and found out how many people go to do a celebration, I thought uh it's not a big deal we are doing a celebration.
I said that to the CM the last time I called and she said "BUT it is a big deal to you and so it's important you celebrate that". Sweet of her.

So if they ask the actual date, it doesn't matter.

LOL if you think that not being there on the actual date is weird, wait until I wear the birthday pin in February and explain I'm there alone celebrating my Autistic son's 22nd birthday. :rotfl2: That is a whole other bitter sweet store because he won't be with me.

TMI, for some maybe but whatever!

Life is short!

So funny, we're celebrating our 12th anniversary on November 3rd. We had a trip planned for a long weekend to the Dominican Republic but cancelled it to do Disney with our 4 kids....and my sister....and my mother in law....Very romantic for us as well, lol.

Ditto for me. Dh and I are going to celebrate our 30th anniversary. I spend hours looking at restaurant reviews and pics and then he says "Whatever you want dear." But I did find that he's excited to take the horse carriage ride thru campground to see the holiday decorations. So yay me, I found something for him.

Happy Anniversary to everyone!!

We are Disney Honeymooners as well! (November 2004) That's why we always go back in November every year!! We will be married 9 years in Nov.

Our anniversary was this Wednesday, 8 years married. However we have no babysitting or money to go out or buy gifts so we are considering our cail grill dinner on nov 10 our anniversary. We didn't even do cards saving it all for Disney!!!!! When I made the reservation online there was no way to say it was a celebration..should I call them?

You can call and have it added or when you do your online check in you can add it. I called to add mine awhile back and the rep never added it.

Hey, everyone! :wave2: I can't wait for you all to celebrate your special moments in Disney!!! We will be celebrating hubby's 40th birthday and my daughter's 14th birthday while we are in Disney. We are also Disneymooners.....but way back in November 1997. lol Although, we were married in April (we had no money for a honeymoon at the time). This year we have been married for 16 years, but we've been together for almost 18. Wow....doesn't seem like that long.

I would also like to mention I may have to start November 2013 - Part II soon. The DIS can only tolerate threads of 250 pages or less and we are getting very, very close and, at the very least, we have more than a month before all our trips. I'm keeping a watchful eye and let you know if it is created (at which time I'll stop all posting to this thread). Hope everyone is having a good week!

does anyone know if there is a map of the locations of food and wine booths

That sounds fun. So do you have one each week? What do you do for each party? And how old are your children?
We were doing one a month, but upped it to two a month. For the Incredibles we had SuperHERO Sandwhiches (hello Subway $5 footlong ;) ) Cheese Jack-Jax and Frozone sundaes. We then each made up our own super hero.
This is a close up of the superheros we made. I am not very artistic so this is not very impressive lol just fun.

This is our countdown wall (there are some Disney pictures from our first countdown night and you can see my daughter's Experiment from our Lilo and Stitch night)

I just added out 9th wedding anniversary (15 together) to our reservation today. I have never added a celebration but it is only a couple weeks later (oct 30th) so what the heck, we'll live a little.

FigmentChick,
is your ticker wrong? I'm confused.
We leave in 1 month and 4 weeks and our day count is 58.
yours says
1 mounth 1 week 4 days or 58 days also!!! ????

:confused3

Aren't we just the most romantic wives in the world?

Maybe my inlaws will let us have the king room and they can stay in the room with the 2 queens and the kids. I would LOVE the room with the big tub, we don't have that at home. I'm not getting my hopes up though.

I put a moratorium on cards years ago. Such a waste of money. We don't usually do gifts either, although we will sometimes if one of us thinks of something cool for the other. No quid pro quo is allowed though, you only buy a present if something seems like a great idea, you don't go buy a present just to be buying one so some years he might get one and some years I might - no rhyme or reason. We try to get rid of the kids for the night and just cook together. It is so nice preparing a meal together, having a bottle of wine and playing Scrabble, without the boys bouncing around all over us.

Any possibility your DH can speak to my DH. Lol. Our 10 year wedding anniversary is in Oct 2014 & trying to plan something special as we never had an actual honeymoon. We were originally supposed to go to Italy but financially we can't. Soooo I suggested an adults only trip to Disney & was told NO. :( I would so love to do Disney & renew our vows there but it doesn't seem to be in the cards. :(

But on a happy note, Happy Anniversary!!! Hope you have a great trip. :)
