OFFICIAL New Animal Kingdom Experiences UPDATE 5/28: Reports from first night in Post #2

I understand the booking process, but what it sounded like to me was he simply converted an existing TH ressie to a JB ressie.
Are they allowing such a thing? I would assume they would since so many regular TH ressies are booked.
@soniam is correct- I checked to see if any JB packages were available in the window of our existing ADR; when I saw there was, I simply went through the process of booking the new JB ADR and the system canceled our old one automatically. Sorry for any confusion!

Have not read previous posts (sorry, last minute tweaks to my plans) For JB show, do you have to do a DPkg or FP? Will Stand-by be an option?

Secondly, what attraction will be open at night?

TIA

I want Tiffins for that beer list! I told DH we will have to go 2 different times just to try them all

Looks like they are offering a flight option of the draft beers so that could get you off to a good start

I assume all the beers would be available at the Nomad Lounge, correct? Not sure we can swing Tiffins this trip but hoping to check out the lounge

Stand-by will be available but it is a very small theater. I think it was reported as only 5000 seats.

Look at the first page of this thread - OhioStateBuckeye does an excellent job of keeping all the information updated.

My first idea was to swing into the Nomad Lounge for a drink and a bite, but the Tiffin's menu looks much better. The Nomad Lounge looks pretty limited.

I agree with your logic! It makes sense to me that they could just add on the package.

I was able to switch out my regular 3:00 lunch reservation for 8 with a show package at the same time, but it wasn't easy. I did it online. At first, there wasn't any availability for a party of 8, but there was availability for a party of 4 at an earlier time. I canceled my regular reservation in order to book the show package for 4, just assuming I would split up my party. When I went to login under the other account to secure another reservation for 4, I checked first for availability for 8. Lo and behold, there was my lunch/show package for 8 at 3:00, the time I had just canceled. It's such a complicated process, and it really would make so much more sense just to be able to add it on to an existing reservation.

It looks small, but maybe just my taste but pretty much everything on the Nomad menu looks good to me so I figure worth checking it out

Anyone have any luck trying to book jungle book dinig package using MDE on their iphone?

Also anyone able to book dinig and the second show?

I have ressies but I looked on my iphone to see if i could get a later dining time and second show but i coukd not get the dining on my iphone only laptop

We have a 6:40 dinner package with the first show. Seems a little implausible to me. I'm gonna keep an open mind and be ready for the 2nd show, if need be. I'm well-trained as a Disneyland home-parker where the waitstaff just give out the tickets to the show you request until they run out of them.

That may be what happens. Apparently, Fantasmic at DHS has gone to choice, instead of assigned. I too am being flexible. I don't have anything preventing me from going to either show that night.

We'll be flexible, but I don't think this is ok!! We have to plan ADRs and FP+ -- I think we should KNOW which show ahead of time. What if I go assuming I have 1st show -- which is what my ADR says -- and I book my FP during the 2nd show.... Then they give me 2nd show tix?! Not ok in my book... :-/

See I am wondering the same thing with my date because I have not once seen a single ADR available since they opened on Saturday. We already had a regular TH ressie scheduled for 5:30pm and prior to the announcements of the dining packages I had tried to tweak the timing of ours but there was nothing available at all for the entire day. So my guess is they were already booked solid and so no TH dining pkgs available to release. I would love to be able to convert ours over but there is no way I could cancel our existing one and hope it pops up on the other end. I would rather just still eat there and not get the ticket to the show. I wonder if I called if they could do this over the phone without me losing on both ends?

I can understand that. The only FP+ that I would have booked during the 2nd show would have been Safari, but I got it before the first show. EE isn't coming up beyond 7:30pm. I know this doesn't work for everyone. It happens to work for us, so I am waiting. We also have two nights at AK; whereas, a lot of people don't.

I was able to book a 10:50 And 6:30 Tusker House Jungle Book first show for Sunday August 14th. We'll make a decision very soon and release the other.
When I go into my plans on MDE the meals are on Sunday, correct, but the shows show booked for the night before! Saturday..what???
Anyone else seeing this?

You can't book dining packages on the app.

I don't believe they are booking any dining packages for the 2nd show. Not this time at least. I have 2 7:00 ADR and both say for 1st show (unless that is just wrong as PP discussed

What's your date?
You may want to try calling and asking questions. Hopefully the CM will be knowledgeable. I'd hate to suggest you try canceling first, in case what happened with mine was purely a coincidence and not because I had released my party of 8. But if you do get gutsy and try, perhaps do it late at night when there's not as much activity, and have a second computer ready to refresh as soon as you hit cancel. Good luck!

I was able to book the dining package via the app. Maybe it was a fluke but it happened lol
