I have never been to WDW during December, and will be attending the MVMCP on Dec. 14 for the first time with my hubby. So here's my question. What exactly is the dance party? Is it a bunch of characters around a DJ or an actual show. I've heard the DISboards talking about how crowded they can be....I'm just don't know what they are. Any explanations would be appreciated.

It's an organized dance party...not really a show per se. There is usually more than one character involved and a DJ with everyone invited to dance.

we did the one at Ariels Grotto last year and after the second parade it wasn't crowded although that one won't be there this year since the Grotto is gone

We will be at WDW Dec. 17 - 22 at OKW. We are going to the party the day we arrive - December 17.
