"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2015 Thread - Rockin' Around the Cinderella Castle!

Hi Everyone,

I have a question. I've seen in this thread that there are no FP+ available during the party. I take that to mean that there is no FP+ viewing area for the holiday wishes during the party? We've got tickets for 12/11 so I was just curious. Thanks!

That's correct. The Wishes Dessert Party is held on MVMCP nights, though, if you wanted a less crowded place to watch.

I'm torn on when to try to go this year. We rearranged our trip to get free dining and we're now arriving on Dec. 15. So, we can go the 15th, 17th or 18th. I'm leaning toward the 17th. It seems like going on the very last day would be too crowded and we prefer to spend our first night relaxing at Downtown Disney. Thoughts?

We are also doing the Free Dining and hence arrive 15th Dec...as this is my and my daughter very first trip to WDW....we definitely wanted to attend a party...and was also faced with the same decision as to which night to attend....we ended up buying tickets for the 15th Dec...thinking it will be a very magical night to see the MK for our very first ever time during a party night...with so many characters to see....and all the lights and decorations....so hopefully we are not too tired from our days travel to get there to enjoy the night...fingers crossed

Thanks so much for this awesome thread CampbellzSoup...it has given me much insight into what to expect for our first ever Xmas party on 15th Dec...and has been really helpful in thinking of what strategy to employ to get the most out of the magical night...for me and my 4year daughter (our first trip to WDW)...the priority for the night will definitely be meeting characters and seeing the shows that I won't be able to see during the remainder of my stay from 19-24th....I am thinking maybe going for the 2nd parade on the party night as feel it might be less crowded....the only problem I anticipate is that my husband and 16yr old step son....will be pressuring us to hurry up with the character meet and greets...and instead focus on some rides...I just hope I can keep them with us for as long as possible as really want this to be a magical night for our family that we will never forget

I did read the entire thread...but can't remember reading at what point the "snow" falls?....coming from Australia this is something my daughter has never seen...so really want to make sure we dont miss out on seeing it during the party

I look forward to following this thread...especially as the parties start...and people start adding more about how the party nights have gone for them...and of course...seeing heaps of photos (I love photos)

Add our little group of 3 to the Dec 17th party! This is also our first one and I can't wait to see how magical it is. My 2 1/2 year old will love it!

You guys should consider 2 things for the party... 1. Get magical memories for pics and when you first get to the party have several family photos done, and 2. Maybe plan to seperate for part of the party so the "boys" can do their thing (ride BTMRR, Splash, 7DMT, etc) while the "girls" do some M&Gs. Then plan to meet at certain times to do some family party stuff. IMHO everyone will be happy and satisfied! (If you don't want the whole photo pkg, they have a one night party choice alone .

I agree totally with your suggestion of separating throughout the party so that everyone can enjoy themselves....and in regards to the photos...we already have the photo memory maker for the trip....which is definitely worth the money...when we did our first trip to disneyland in 2013....I think we ended up with close to 1000 photos...I might just have to bribe the step son to actually get in more of them this trip....especially with the 7 dwarves, as definitely want a family shot with them

I've seen a couple of times on here that you can get some kind of photo package just for the day of the Christmas party. Can anyone tell me more info about this and how to get it? Thanks so much!

They just started this last year and I believe it was $39.99. Not sure if they will be offering it again in 2015, but I'm sure they will announce closer to party dates if so.

Add me to the November 8th party! So excited to go to the first party, I'm so antsy right now!

Everything I've read so far points to buying the MM the day of , at guest relations or at TTC. But I would call WDW guest relations and see if anyone has any info yet... I'm sure there will be a lot more info closer to the party!

Good idea, I will give them a call when our trip gets closer. Thanks!

I have never ever been to MVMCP before in all my visits, so this year I'm going 3 times and am super excited. I'll be there on the 10th, 13th and 17th November. Hoping to take things slowly and see everything.

I asked this in the restaurant section and didn't get much of an answer, hoping someone here knows. Does BOG offer special desserts on party nights like they do on MNSSHP nights? If so, what have they been in the past?

Somehow I just found this thread...

I'm so excited for my first MVMCP this year. My Disney buddy and I are going on December 3rd and we just can't wait!

I look forward to all the updates to help make this night even more magical.
