"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2015 Thread - Rockin' Around the Cinderella Castle!

I have a bunch of those green cards, I need to label them appropriately so I don't take the wrong ones to the wrong party! Just officially bought the tickets for the first Christmas party, exactly five months away today!

They will mail you cards - similar to a credit card shape, those are your cards that you exchange at the gate for your wristband.
So we don't get to keep those cards? Or do they just scan them like a AP card and give them back to us.

Add us to the 12/1 roll call!!! :)

We had originally planned for 12/3, but we bought our tickets for 12/1 :)

I don't plan on using a park ticket on party day, but my tickets are linked in MDE. Should I just show them the hard ticket, rather than scan my magic band? I am nervous about losing a day on our tickets.

This is my first 'party' so not sure, but i think they keep them.

If it is the same that it has been in past years, you find a CM handing out wristbands, they'll check the ticket to make sure it's valid for that night and give you a wristband. In my personal experience, they have given us back the tickets in the past.

I would play it safe and just bring the hard ticket.

I didn't get the mail option. (Maybe because I'm in Canada?) I only got the print at home option, but then my email confirmation didn't have a link to click on to print them.

I'm in Canada too, last year they mailed us the tickets but this year you had to pay for them to be mailed to Canada so I chose to print them at home. The link to print them was on the check out page, not in the confirmation email. You should take your receipt-comfirmation email with you in case there is a problem with your magic band or MDE account.

If it makes you feel better to have a hard ticket, maybe you could try will call at the MK ticket booths?

You would need the email confirmation, photo ID and the credit card you used to purchase them. I'm not 100% sure that this would work in your case since you weren't given the option at checkout.

If not, like the pp said, the CMs should be able to scan your MB to see your Christmas party ticket.

We are considering going to the Nov 17th party. We are already planning to go to magic Kingdom that day. I have a couple of questions as this will be our first party.

1. Will we be allowed to make 6 fp+ selections ahead of time? (3 with regular ticket and 3 after 4pm with party ticket)

2. When can party fp+ be scheduled? 60 days in advance? Is the system going to freak out if I try to make 6 fp+ in advance?

3. Since we will be in mk that day, we can exit anytime between 4-7 to reenter as party guests and receive our party band? Is this band similar to magic band or is it just a paper band? Are the party fp+ connected to our magic bands or party band?

Thanks in advance!!

1. You would only be able to make 3 FP+ reservations. You can only do 3 a day, doesn't matter if there are more than 1 ticket on the account.
If you have the party tickets on a separate MDE account, you can also make 3 FP+ choices with those.

2.you could only reserve those FP+ at 30 days out since you wouldn't have your resort reservation tied to this account because they would have to be on a separate MDE account.

3. If you are already in the park during that time, there is no need to exit. Just approach a CM that is handing out the wristbands and show them your hard ticket or MB depending on what you have. The wristbands are just paper wristbands.

Again, you would need to put the party tickets on a separate MDE account to obtain FP+ during the 4-7pm timeframe. In this case, you would need the hard ticket to scan at the FP entrance.

Hope this helps.

I did print the confirmation email (just in case!!) and it says on it that the tickets are attached to the email as a PDF but they weren't. I didn't have a link to print them at checkout.

I'm hoping my MB is enough, but I will also take the email confirmation. I may call again and see what a different CM says!!

Just so I have this straight...

1. Leave my current mde and plans as they are. Make fp+ selections 60 days in advance since we are on site, including party day.

2. Create another mde and buy party tickets with that account. I will receive a hard ticket that can be used to make fp+ selections 30 days in advance. Use hard ticket for party band and at fp+ scanners.

Or I could just buy party tickets on current mde and not make 3 party fp+?

Since these are separate mde, I can schedule fp+ at overlapping times? Is this frowned upon?

Thanks!! You guys/gals really make this easier to plan.

Any of the above will work!:thumbsup2 I would assume that you could have overlapping times since it's 2 different accounts. As far as being frowned upon, I wouldn't worry about it, you have 2 different sets of media that you would be using on separate accounts.
If my Memory Maker is on my Magic Band and my daughter gets hard tickets, can we use my magic band for photos?
Since I assume your DD also has a MB and she is on your MDE account, her MB will be linked to your's and she could wear her MB during the party so the photopass photographers can scan her band and if she is on a ride that has the RFID readers on them for ride photos, it should load onto the memory maker.

This will be my first trip since memory maker was established, so this information is what I have gathered in my research, so it may not be completely accurate.

Hopefully others on this thread will be able to confirm or deny the info I have given you on MM.

Ok, sign me up... pulled the trigger, party of 2- Friday Dec 18th. Figured that even though this is the last date of the party, it will still be less crowded than trying to see parade, wishes etc the week before Christmas at the park. I had spoken with the CM when I called and she verified that she did not hook my tickets up to anything and that I could get 3 FP+ with them. I had to call in because I was using gift cards ( thank you Target once again for letting me save 5% on Disney) and online you cant use more than one card. Now. my next question.... we plan to be in the park prior to wristbands being distributed ( We have PH)- I heard they start giving them out at 4pm- Am I okay if I can get a BOG dinner 430 ADR?- Figure that should have us out by 6 ? That way we get our wristbands, eat and then can get online for stuff.. Thoughts and thanks

If we are not doing a park day the day of the Christmas party will we still be able to choose the 3 FP between 4-7?

Congrats on getting your party tickets!
Yes, you will be able to get your wristbands after dinner. I don't know if you would be able to do 3 FP during the 4-7 time due to a BOG ADR right in the middle of that timeframe. You might be able to do 1 or 2.

Since you are not doing a park that day, you should have no issues choosing 3FP.

Guess I misunderstood. I thought you got 3 FP during the party time. Either way , it's all good

Unfortunately, we can only get FP in that 3 hour time period before the party officially starts. You shouldn't have too many long waits getting on ride (with the exception of 7DMT I assume). You will have a blast!
