I've got waterproof coats, umbrellas and rain boots I'm packing for my kids.I'm packing later today and it looks like I'll be packing my rain coat for MVMCP on Dec. 3rd.

I'm debating on whether to pack my rain boots. They're really bulky, but i'm scared that we might actually need it.I've got waterproof coats, umbrellas and rain boots I'm packing for my kids.
The forecast just keeps getting worse. It says 1/4 inch of rain and steady all day![]()
I think we might just end up all wearing them on the plane. I'm usually ok with wet feet for a bit but not all day and afternoon long.I'm debating on whether to pack my rain boots. They're really bulky, but i'm scared that we might actually need it.

The forecast for the 3rd I just saw unfortunately has rain but it looks like most of it will happen during the day... not that I relish walking around all day in the rain that would be preferable to rain during the party... I'm still holding out slight hope the rain will move to another day. Perhaps Wednesday before we arrive and then only rain in the middle of the night after arrival. I know that's a dream, but it would be so nice to get that lucky.
Our party night was dry but the next night, as we were eating dinner at Tony's the sky opened up!
We had our ponchos (had used them the previous 2 days off/on) but since the park cleared out, we decided to brave it and take in a few rides. The problem was...getting to those rides!
There are parts of the MK that has/had standing water 2-3" deep...not good in tennis shoes.
I'm hoping, for all of you, the weather clears but if the rain pattern we're having here in Texas is moving east it doesn't look good.
We've had steady rain since Thanksgiving Day...and temps in the 40's (a little cool for those of us in Central Texas...especially with rain...not fun trying to get outdoor Christmas decorations up
!) with continued rain forecast until this Wednesday. It's frustrating being at DW with such yucky weather but remember "a rainy day at Disney is better than any day at home"! Good luck!

In typical little girl fashion, my oldest has now decided that she wants to meet BOTH the princesses/princes sets (I think both Rapunzel/Cinderella and Aurora/Snow White are a priority) AND the 7 dwarfs. We are also traveling with our princess-loving 3 yr old who is a night owl, so we are going to try and stay as late as possible. Fingers crossed.
What is the best strategy if we want to see all of these popular meet & greets? I had originally posted when I thought we just needed to see Rapunzel but now I don't know who to line up for first at 6 pm or earlier. Is it best to see the dwarfs first and then go to see the princesses at the end of the party? Or the other way around? I didn't know if the dwarfs make an early escape.
We have tickets to 12/6 and so far it doesn't seem like weather will be an issue.
Thanks so much!!!!
Based on our party night last week I'd have to say to line up for you absolute MUST do first. The Dwarfs line will be long, no doubt about it but I think I read if you're in line when the party ends, the characters will see you. Be prepared though to miss the rest of the party activities. Personally, I'd do the Princess meet & greet and skip the Dwarfs to attend other activities but that's just my opinion.I've got waterproof coats, umbrellas and rain boots I'm packing for my kids.

Planning on being there tomorrow! Will buy our tickets tomorrow after we get ready to board our connection at O'Hare just in case of delays, eta at orlando is 230pm. So far only 1 date has sold out that I have seen (let me know if that info is wrong), and that is the last party.
they look out some stuff from the second parade due to the wet pathways. I'm going to have all of us wear our boots on the plane. They are so heavy to packWe're also going to the MVMCP on 12/3 and I am also quite sad about the impending rain. We're only going to be in Disney 3 days and its calling for rain each day. I didn't even think about packing rain boots! We have umbrellas, raincoats, and ponchos though. We're trying to fly carry-on only so I don't know if that's feasible for us. I do have 2 pairs of sneakers if/when I soak through one.
Does anyone know how the rain affects the party? Will they still do the shows, fireworks, and parade? I feel like this is going to be my only time I can get to Disney at Christmas time and I'm so sad about the weather forecast.![]()
The weather report is slightly better for those of us going on the 3rd. It went down from a 90% chance of rain to a 40%. Still not great but I'll take it.

in 2010 it rained for the majority of our party and it was basically empty by 10pm. I know this was years ago, but I bet lots of people still do leave.Just curious...for those of you who dealt with all the rain, were you at least rewarded by lower crowds? Did people start to leave or was it still as packed?
