"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2015 Thread - Rockin' Around the Cinderella Castle!

Hello everyone, we are going down for Christmas this year, 24-3. Wanted to do MVMCP but see that is ends on the 18th, is that normal? Was hoping to score Christmas Eve tickets for party, thought that would be pretty magical.
Yes, this is normal. They usually don't have the Christmas party the week of Christmas, most of the activities are incorporated into the daily schedule for that week.

The parks are too busy from that point forward for them to close early for the party. If Disney could squeeze in some more parties, they totally would. ;)

I need to update the FAQ it seems everyday we have a new thread asking different questions

phew I FINALLY got you all who said that you were GOING on the list - those who still haven't decided I didn't place on there...yet!

i will be there for the first party on 8th November and i am so excited its my first MVMCP i always do Halloween but this year we are looking forward to the Christmas party and a new Sorcerers card :)

Hi everyone!, We are going on the 15th on November and I need a suggestion on a place to eat before the party starts. It is just my husband and I. We are on the deluxe dining plan and we are wanting to enter the park around 4 with our party ticket. we don't have any other park tickets for that day. What are everyone's thoughts? Thanks so much!

Well, if you'll be in the park and want a sit down dinner, which I was figuring you do with the deluxe plan, you might like to try Be I Our Guest (BOG). It's got some good food and it's got 3 rooms with great theming! I would suggest trying to get an early dinner time so you can be out by the time the party starts at 7 p.m., so you don't miss any party time! You'll have to for a ressie right at the token of you 180 day ADR mark. Last year we also really enjoyed the Liberty Tree Tavern, food was really good, served family style with the same menu nightl, including roast beef, roast pork, and turkey, with all the sides. Again, I suggest an early dinner ressie. Although, argh, I just remembered that LTT will have just been closed for a rehab and it may not quite be open yet. I'm thinking I remember nov 20, but not sure about that. Our tradition got to be Cosmic Rays for a quick service meal, where we'd take a short break and look out on the castle with the beautiful castle dream lights while we eat!

We got our tickets the first day they were on sale... we're a keen bunch :) Going to the first party on the 8th!

Would have preferred to go to the second party so that we would have an idea of character schedules etc. but we return to England on the 10th so it was not to be. Disney don't seem to change THAT much from party to party so hopefully we'll have a pretty good idea of what we want to see/do from last years reports :)

Just bought 7 tickets for the 12/15/15 party. Two of my traveling party members decided they didn't want to go (even though we're paying for the tickets as a gift to everyone). They said they didn't want to stay up late and that they aren't really interested in parades or fireworks. First, how can you NOT be interested in fireworks?! That's like saying, "I'm not a fan of 'fun'." Second, yes we told them about everything else, and they just aren't interested. Blows my mind.

Can anyone explain what their most excited about going into the party?? Even though I wrote up my extensive review here are my ABSOLEUTLE highlights:

  • The Seven Dwarfs Meet and Greet I will cherish that photo forever.
  • The Soldiers during the parade made me smile so much.
  • Watching Holiday wishes with the person I loved the most and the ending making me say wow
  • Meeting Santa NOT in a mall!
  • The feeling of all those good memories at Christmas....just come together here.
My picture in the OP was poopy here is an HD version

I'm in the red btw :p

I'm not a fan of fun:worship:

We've already got our tickets for 12/1. Really looking forward to Christmas in the Magic Kingdom.

Hello Everyone,
I'm so excited this will be our first MVMCP. I'm thinking of attending the party on our arrival day. We are taking the first flight out, we should arrive in the morning. I'm planning to stay at the Poly, BLT, WL, or Yacht Club I just can't decide on the resort. Will it be wise to attend the party on arrival day?
I thinking it would be a great way to start a vacation. Our kids are getting older 9 & 12 so I think they can handle it.
I would love all feedback. :santa:

We'll be attending the Dec 1 party. My DD will be 5 when we go and she and I both love character meets so that will be our focus at the party. We want our photo with the 7 dwarfs and we're hoping to meet princesses with their princes too.

That's what we are doing! Arriving on Dec 3rd and going to the party that night! I think it's a great plan, we love to do MK on opening night so it'll be great to start our trip at a party! You can get in at 4 p.m. with your party ticket, use FP's til 7 p.m., then enjoy all the party stuff. You can get settled earlier and not feel rushed to get to a park tll 4. :santa:
