****Official May 2012 Thread**** ALMOST TIME TO LEAVE!!

All of you with 30-40 days left..I am soooo jealous...the worst part of a May 30th vacation is that everyone here will be already enjoying their trips before I get to go!! lol

Look on the bright side :) When their vacation is over, ours will just be beginning! :lovestruc

 I know what you mean.....Every time I see someone post about 30-40 days I get all excited, and then realize I still have to make it through most of May!

Look on the bright side :) When their vacation is over, ours will just be beginning! :lovestruc

:thumbsup2

BTW---We're at the Poly during the same time!

Question of the Day:

If you had to pick 1 in May, would you do Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon? and why?

We are not big on going to the water parks, but if I had to choose one I would say Typhoon Lagoon. We have been to Blizzard Beach, but never to Typhoon Lagoon so I would prefer to try a new water park.

QOTHD

My boys say typhoon lagoon. We have been to both, they love the wave pool:banana:

Can I choose the third option? I don't care! :rotfl: I can't swim, so it's the shallow end of the pool and lazy rivers, for me!

Question of the Weekend:

Do you plan or have you used Disney Florist or In room celebrations?

We just made a crazy move for our honeymoon! We went from Room Only at POFQ 5 nights and AKL 5 nights to Boardwalk for 10 nights with Deluxe dining! Not sure what came over us, but I think it is a great move :banana:

:cool1: Have you guys requested a longhouse? We are unsure of which one to pick, and may just leave it up to the tiki gods...ha ha....I have checked out Tikiman's website, but still are unsure.

That's awesome!!! I say :thumbsup2

Hope you've gotten your ADRs lined up!!! :)

And congrats on the honeymoon!

I have used Disney Florist for my goddaughter on her first trip to WDW. I have used them multiple times for when my parents go down on their anniversary. I have been surprised with them on my birthday down there :) And I'm trying to decide if I should use them to surprise my nieces, or just buy them things as we go (well they'd get that anyways probably ;) )

We've never done a waterpark and I can't see ever doing one. We live pretty close to Wisconsin Dells which claims to be the waterpark capital of the world... I'd rather spend time in the parks :cool1:

Ehh yep! I ordered 7 stems of stargazer lilies. Kind of a tradition. Nothing nicer then coming back from the parks with the smell of lilies in the air. It's really nice. Also, for the first time I ordered a DVC basket with some sparking juice, champagne flutes and a couple of other things. My husband doesn't know about that one. Just thought it would be a nice surprise.

Hey guys,

I just requested to join the FB page.

I'll just answer the questions of the day that I can...

What are you celebrating?
---My 25th birthday, Mother's Day, & DM's birthday (can't say her age)

Do you plan or have you used Disney Florist or In room celebrations?
---No I haven't used any since the last time I was there I was 16 almost 17 and I don't plan to use any this time either

If you had to pick 1 in May, would you do Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon? and why?
---Really wouldn't want to do a waterpark in May for two reasons, 1. It would only make me sad to not have them open when I got back home 2. I can drive for 10 min and be at a waterpark here at home.

I most likely skipped a bunch, but I'm up late and still have to work in the morning after only getting 3 hours sleep last night, not the best idea to stay up too late tonight.

I just saw your post Budafam and realized that we're in the same state at least and will be at disney some of the same days.

I just logged into the WDW site and got the alert that in 30 more days I can do online checkin!!!!!! I could do cartwheels! I am so over the top excited. Is it time to go lay the suitcase out on the spare bed and start packing some things? I am so ready!!!

How exciting!!!

Been out of town since the end of last week, so I thought I'd catch up on the questions...

We visited both water parks for the first time last year, and we had a great time!! If we had to choose, I think we'd pick BB because the kids didn't get to spend as much time as they wanted at the kid area.

We've never used the Disney provided surprises. I'm a fan of custom things, so I tend to sneak the surprises in myself. ;)
