****Official May 2012 Thread**** ALMOST TIME TO LEAVE!!

I just got the dessert party booked for our first night. I'm keeping it as a surprise for everyone. Can't wait!!!

Everything is booked and we are ready to go. I'm tempted to being packing just to make sure I have everything I need!

I made 3 out of 4 bows that my daughter will be wearing... maybe I could wrap some of the gifts and get our grocery list in order. 58 days just does not sound like that much time!

I booked the "Dine with an Animal Specialist" for a surprise. My girls are going to LOVE it!!

Super excited! Logged onto the DIS boards, and was checking out this May 2012 thread, and noticed all the posts about the Wishes party!

I rushed over to the Disney website, and got the party booked for May 30! I'm so excited---going to try to keep this a secret from the family!

YAY we just extended our trip by one day so now we are staying thru 5/7 (monday vs. sunday) and I booked the Wishes Dessert Party for 5/3 !!!!!!! my hubby is gonna so love it!!!

I will be heading down to Disney May 21st through May 27th staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort.

I'm looking forward to being down, but can't help but be sad that BTMRR is still under refurb. Maybe i'll get lucky and they'll do some early opening tests.

As usual, I will be tweeting from the parks so feel free to ask away while i'm there.

We'll be there the 19th and 26th! And we are so pumped! Love CBR! We're sad that Test Track is gonna be down too, but who knows? Maybe we'll get some and they'll get through earlier than later!

Just had to post because I'm so excited--purchased our tickets through Undercover Tourist yesterday!

Also realized I have enough credit cards points to get $100 gc to Wal-mart (for food--staying offsite) and a $50 Nike gc (for hubby to use at the outlet mall).

AND there is a Wal-mart (of course) and an Aldi near each other on our way from the airport.

Yesterday was a good day! 65 more days!

51 days until we get in the car and head south. Even better, tonight is the last night of work at my third job!!! Yay!!!!! I took the third job to pay for the trip ....now just hope the paychecks don't bounce !

Wishes is the firework show at Magic Kingdom and it's fantastic! The Wishes Dessert Party is a nightly event in which you can make ADR's (and pay in full at the time of booking) and you will have a wonderful, unobstructed area to view Wishes from. So no staking out a spot an hour ahead of time and defending it! lol! And there are lots of amazing desserts to enjoy!

The Wishes Dessert Party is set up in Tomorrowland and provides 1) Unlimited Desserts and 2) VIP seating for Wishes. I believe it is only available to 50 people or less.

Wishes is the nighttime fireworks and light show. The main show is all on the castle. It is typically at 10pm and it is worth staying to watch! It is a must do for everyone.

Anyone have anything else to add?

Okay we changed our plans, checking into Bonnet Creek for the night of the 5th because that is just a travel day (and we can use my boyfriend's Hilton points to pay for it), then POFQ from May 6-10 instead of Pop. It is my first time staying at something other than a Value resort so I'm really excited. We haven't been able to add the dining plan yet though because we used a CM Discount and we can only book it if a CM discount on the DP comes available (which reservations was hopeful it would)

Can someone tell me how much the dessert party? This does sound like something that would be nice to try and attend.

It's $23.99 for adults & $11.99 for kids I think. Kinda expensive just for desserts but you get a great view (supposedly!) I'm excited to try it out


56 days here! We're doing Nightmare Before Christmas movie night tonight (DS's favorite!)

I bought a Mickey sweatshirt from someone online for $5!!! It was BRAND new from Disney so I'm saving it for the trip that way I'm not tempted to spend $55+ on one there.
