Fiance and I were talking last night, we might switch to a deluxe resort our first 5 nights of our honeymoon. This is what we currently have:

Better late than never, right?

We switched resorts from Pop to POFQ and even though I requested new ME tags, I was told they were unnecessary because they go by bar code. I was assured that no matter what, my bags would follow me to POFQ.

So of course, I'm down at the desk of the POFQ trying to figure out how to get my bags from Pop to POFQ and I ask if I can just go to Pop and pick them up myself. I explained that we just got in from NY and that my wife and overly excited omgicantwaittomeetaprincesswhencanweleave 4 year old daughter weren't dressed for Florida. We won't comment on me being comfortably and appropriately dressed. ...

I should note as I note when I tell this story that I am a deeply jaded soul. I was a NYC cop assigned to Brooklyn until I got injured during the WTC attacks. I had seen and heard it all so when the CM asked me to wait a moment and disappeared into her managers office, I thought that they she was pulling the car salesman deal of making it look like she was stridently advocating for me when in fact they were discussing their weekend plans. Or maybe that's just a New Yorker thing....

But anyway, I was floored when she came out and said that she added $100 dollars to my account and that I should go to the gift shop and get my wife and daughter clothes to go out in. I never asked for this. At most, I figured they would have hailed a car service for me so I could get my bags. That was the start of long and unjaded love affair with Disney.

Even though my ticker says 100, we are finally in the double digits for the day we actually leave!!!
So excited! This just means I have another good reason to go over all my vacation plans...AGAIN.

My favorite deluxe has been the Contemporary, but I did AKL last time and loved being able to sit on my balcony and see the animals, you are gonna love that!

80 days to go!!! This being a mini-trip for us we decided to break free from our traditional counter service ways and make a few reservations. So far we have included Liberty Tree for lunch and Via Napoli for dinner. So excited!!

My favorite deluxe has been the Contemporary, but I did AKL last time and loved being able to sit on my balcony and see the animals, you are gonna love that!

74 days for us

We have free QSDP but I keep thinking that maybe I should have done a couple of ADRs, a character buffet or Ohana but the cost is what's stopping me from making that call.
Last time mum and I split a double cheeseburger plus extra bun, so just having 40 QS credits will be so much better than our dining experience from the last trip and she wouldn't be expecting anything more...
So why am I second guessing it?

We have our ADR's already. We decided to cancel our Cape May Clambake because of the credit card guarantee. We are thinking of trying a walk up. We do have two cc guaranteed ADR's already. One for Crystal Palace and one for Tusker House.

I cannot wait until we are in Disney!!

The only thing that is bring me down is the news that gas is supposed to be $4.25 a gallon by the end of April!!
We are driving from NC!

Hi everyone! 90 Days out for us and we are excited! No ADR's since we're doing QSDP, so it's a little weird Not making ressies for us. We've done most of the character dining though, so decided to go 'cold turkey' ...
Hope we like the QSDP!

We're driving from MS, so a long trip ahead for us too, but hey, it's worth just being able to go...A-N-T-I-C-I-P-A-T-I-O-N is making us wait!!!

Does anyone know if applying late will affect your chances? I had my phone interview last week- applied about 2 weeks ago. Is that considered late?

Well, who knew planning for Disney would be so involved? This is first trip. I have changed our ADR's several times since I started planning. I made one more change and I *think* we have it all worked out now. We are taking a break day mid-week, planning on swimming, a little shopping at Downtown Disney, possibly mini-golf. We are staying at AKL & I have a breakfast ADR for Boma & had made an ADR for Rainforest Cafe at DD as well.

I was also trying to keep our AK day short, so we were going 10-4 and having counter service lunch & dinner at AKL. After more thought, we decided we didn't want to have a lunch ADR to get to on our break day so we decided to cancel that and make dinner at Rainforest after our AKL park day. Figure we have to eat dinner anyway.

I really hope we don't have to change anything else now...74 days to go! Can hardly wait!!!
