****Official May 2012 Thread**** ALMOST TIME TO LEAVE!!

Question of the Weekend:
What are your favorite meals at the moderate resorts? Either quick serve or full service, or even a snack!

The only full service meal that I have had is Breakfast at Maya Grill. This trip we are trying dinner at Boatwrights and I am very excited because I have seen some great reviews. In the mornings I have had the fruit tarts from the bakery section and there are very yummy and only a snack credit.

Well I can't enjoy Rock'n Rollercoaster, Test Track, or the Mountains... but it's okay because... We're expecting baby #2! :yay: My son will turn 3 right after our trip, and baby #2 will come in August. We're not telling our families until after 12 weeks, but we found out today, and I'm bursting to tell someone!

Congratulations!!! What nice news to receive during the holidays! :flower3:

What is your shoe wear choice when exploring the parks?

Question of the Day:
What is your shoe wear choice when exploring the parks?

My family and I all wear Nike tennis shoes in the parks. There are no time for blisters while on vacation. One year my step daughter and I were at Cedar Point and she had on some type of Crocs they were not clogs but more of a mary jane style and I had on Birkenstock sandals and we both had blisters on our feet and couldn't walk the next day. Normally those shoes are very comfortable but not for park days.

We all wear sneakers. We wore our crocs once to a local amusement park and were miserable. Lots of dirt and rocks got in, and we all got blisters. Now I would love to get those crocs that look like tennis shoes, but am not willing to spend the money yet!

Question of the Day:
What is your shoe wear choice when exploring the parks?

I normally wear my Nike tennis shoes if I am going to be in the park all day long. My husband and son change up between their Nikes and their Crocs. If we are going to DTD or out to eat, I'll change my shoes between sandals, flip flops or Keds.

We wear sneakers. We like Saucony, Asics, New Balance and Nike. We also come back, most days, in the afternoon for a break. When we go back out for dinner or just a few hours in the evening, we like to switch to crocs or sandals. We also try to bring two pairs of sneakers to alternate.

TEVA MUSH!! Love them! I have also worn fit flops without a problem. I do bring sneakers, but only wear them when I work out in the resort gym in the morning.

When I was there before I always wore Adidas running shoes. This time I plan to wear some kind of Clarks sandals, more than likely. I'm hoping to have two pairs to switch between in case one gets wet or something.

Our family will be staying at All Star Movies from May 18 to May 26th 2012! Hopefully the parks won't be quite as crowded as Spring Break (April) earlier this year. We are SO looking forward to WDW for the second year in a row.

Hi,

I finally got my airline tickets! This is our first trip ever to Orlando.
We will be staying at POP 5/26-6/5.

So excited!:yay: This board is great! So much helpful information!!

Thank you!

I like to wear flip-flops with a thicker sole. Keens gave me blisters. I've worn tennis shoes, but prefer the flip-flops in the heat!

I do usually put my girls in tennis shoes because they are much less tolerant of any pain or discomfort. :)

I used to wear flip flops, last year I wore Crocs. Although whilst I cannot fault them for comfort in the Florida heat it doesn't help clammy feet. Next year I think I am gravitating back to flip flops.

The Blood Orange Margarita from La Cava de Tequila...hands down favorite. I replicated it at home....deeeee-lish!

I can't remember what it was called... but there was this thing where you could sample soda from other parts of the world. And there was this one that was really fruity, from some place in Europe. Whatever that was, I loved it. And it has stuck with me all these years. :rotfl:

I used to talk major trash about Crocs but I ended up ordering a pair of the flip flop style and I absolutely LOVE them. I've been wearing them constantly since May and if something were to happen to this pair, I would turn around and buy them again instantly. They are GREAT for water rides and walking all day long.
