Toy Story Mania or Buzz Lightyear Ride?​

Toy Story Mania is our family favorite. It always seems the are having problems with Buzz Lightyear Ranger Spin. The cars always seem to get bundled up together and we spend five minutes shooting at the same scene.

Hello everyone!!! Just jumping in to say that we will be in Disney on May 19th through May 27th. It will be me, DH, DD Gabrielle (12)and DD Sophia (5). The girls have no clue we are going again. We were just there at POP in Sept and thought we wouldnt be heading back until 2013. But I talked DH into it after using the 20% discount for a spring stay.

We will be staying at All Star Sports. I did have POP booked but figured I would try a different resort. I hope we like it. Anyway, I am just super excited that I get to go back!!!

Hello, fellow May 2012 DISers! I wanted to update you all on our trip. We changed our dates to May 20-May 25. We will be staying at the Pop Century Resort. I've also upgraded from the quick service dining plan, to the basic dining plan. Right now I have ADR's for Ohana(breakfast and dinner), 50's Prime Time Cafe(dinner), Le Cellier(lunch), and Liberty Tree Tavern(dinner). I'm getting so excited, but feel like it is going to take forever to get here!

We're only 128 days away... I don't know but to me that seems like it's really coming up fast! At 80 days I'm going to begin our countdown.

We decided to fly since I have enough points to pay for 8 flights (enough for our whole family) and a credit to put towards MIL's flight. It will end up being cheaper for us and we get to spend another day at MK!!! Yay!!!

I've been googling ways to surprise our children. I don't know how long I can handle not telling them. I'm hoping to be able to keep the secret until the day before the trip. I just don't think I could handle the "when are we going" questions for weeks/months.

Thanks for reading them! We're going with 5 people this time... just us and my mother in law so we have to stay off property to keep it "in budget". We'll be at Bonnet Creek for a week but I'm adding a day onto the beginning so we can fly in early Friday morning and stay at a Red Roof Inn (I have a free certificate for that)...

Even though we'll have a full kitchen at our resort, I don't plan to do much cooking at all. Disney food is a huge reason why I love it there so much.

I would love to hear about Bonnet Creek too. We're staying there when we go down in October ... I'm excited, I've wanted to stay there for awhile.

We have stayed in Wisconsin Dells Wyndham resort which is the same setup and we LOVE it there. The space is wonderful compared to the room we get at Pop BUT there is really nothing like staying on property (IMO). If it were just us 4 again, I would be on property for sure.

I just booked our flights. We were originally planning on driving but my MIL has a hard time sitting for long periods of time & since I signed up for the Southwest Visa a month ago, I had a ton of free points to use up so for 5 people, round trip from Chicago to Orlando (nonstop flights) we paid $190 TOTAL! Can't beat that! Even with renting a car & parking fees at the airport, we're coming out ahead & we get to spend another day in Disney!!!

Last year flew by, so why is it when you are waiting on a Disney trip does time seem to slow down!?!?!

We may be going down May 2012, but we don't have anything booked yet. I plan on applying for the fall advantage college program, so it would be silly to go in May then :/ so we're playing the waiting game now.

Just wanted to stop in and say hi though!!

Not sure what's closed traditionally, however I read this on the official site
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Closed For Refurbishment [Monday, January 09 - Sunday, May 27]

which is fine with me because we don't go until May 30th

It's also pretty widely rumoured that the Test Track revamp will start in either January or April, either way looking likely to be closed in May.

Still only a rumour, but it seems to be coming from every angle recently. I'm hoping that it's open & BTMR opens in April!!
