Any luck on getting a hotel upgrade before? If so, tell us how you did it!

Yes! We were upgraded the first time we stayed on property in 2009. We were booked in a Garden Wing of the Contemporary. When we checked in, she said we had been upgraded to a tower room with a pool/lake view! That trip was absolutely magical and we LOVED our room. I don't know how we got so lucky, but I was very thankful!

Haha, no! We got a room 'downgrade' We checked into the Poly on our Sept 2010 trip and were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready nice and early. But when we opened the door, it hadn't been cleaned yet! It was a very sad moment. They moved us to a different room, but no upgrade.

I didn't save a ton of money but I did save $491.88 which pays for a portion of our dining plan.

If I already booked last week for a stay that would have fallen into these dates can I call and ask them to honor this price now?

Absolutely call them! I booked our vacation package many months ago and I simply called them and asked that they modify our existing reservation.

If this special is for room-only and I booked a package, will the discount still apply? I'd assume not but I guess I can call them and ask anyway!

The discount will still apply but you will only receive the % off on the room portion of your package. I had a package booked and had the new offer applied.

Jessica, I need to change my dates and resort on the first page! My dates are now May 22-29th. I changed because of added on snow days to the school calendar, just to be safe! I hope I'm not sorry moving it back two days. Now we will end up there Memorial day. Oh well, we will be in WDW so WHO CARES! I also changed the resort today to Coronado Spring to get the discount that came out today. I'm nervous about that a little too since I had chosen POFQ because of it's small size. Anyone want to make me feel ok about switching, by all means chime in! I saved $300 by changing resorts so I hope it was worth it!

We were there Memorial Day this year and the crowds were bad at all. We walked right on several rides and the CM at TOT said if we came two weeks later we would have a two hour wait for that ride. Next year we are going even earlier in May and pulling the kids out of school. Bad parents we are but the kids don't mind.

I just called. We were booked in a standard room and all that was available were preferred rooms. Even with the discount that was more than we were previously spending and although the preferred room would have been nice I couldn't justify the extra expense.

We'll be there the same dates as you. Also, DH and I stayed at Coronado in 2004 for our Honeymoon and fell in love with that resort! We'd be staying there again this trip if it was just going to be the tree of us. But since my parents and aunt are going, we were outvoted! Oh well. This is my first time staying in a deluxe so I'm not gonna complain! Hope you enjoy Coronado!

I miss the original Journey to Imagination. I'd love to see it again in real life. It's not the same watching it on youtube, but I guess it's better than nothing!

I haven't been there since 1999, so I'm not even entirely sure what is missing from then, but yes, I really liked Alien Encounter!
