****Official May 2012 Thread**** ALMOST TIME TO LEAVE!!

I've just found online check-in to be faster. I did it for our trip to FW two years ago, and our check in time was about 2 minutes. I walked up to the desk, gave my name and the CM handed me my folder. He did ask if I had questions, but I didn't, so we were good to go!

I've read to NOT do online check in if you're staying club level, so I didn't the last two years at the Poly. Not sure why, but I listen to the Dis ;)

Pigletto, I did my online checkin for CBR this morning, and it asked me for a building preference (I chose Jamaica :lovestruc). Anyway, I hadn't seen this option before, so maybe it's something new. Not sure if they have it for CSR or not....

So if they now have an option for building preference, what about bed size preference? I hadn't planned on doing online check in because I had read that if you have specific preferences that you had better luck of getting those preferences in person. DBF and I would looooove a king size bed instead of a room with two doubles since we're both very restless sleepers.

I did the online check in last year and this year. For me the line was SO much shorter at the online check-in desk. If you don't like the room they gave you, you can still ask to change. :confused3

I am at the OMG!, I ONLY HAVE A FEW DAYS BEFORE WE LEAVE AND SOOO MUCH TO DO!! :scared1: stage. :lmao:

I think we go at odd times because I've never had more than two people in head of me at check in ever! But we do tend to get in very early or very late. I always book the first or last flight of the day to maximize our time:)

My poor son is beside himself with excitement. Luckily he loves school and it passes the time. All night long he talks about our trip. :rotfl:
He's taken out his pins and rearranged them about 10 times. He traded a little on our last few trips but he is way more excited about it this time. He just turned 8 so I think he's at a good age for it now.

I can not wait to be sitting on the patio at WPE on Monday night:)

I woke up so excited for this trip! It feel like I've been counting down forever, but really I booked this one in October so it's only been about 6 months.

I wish I had the patience to do a trip report but when I am there having fun I don't even remember to take pictures half the time so I doubt I'd stick it out to finish an entire report.:rolleyes1

Is anyone else doing one? I'll go take a read if you are:)

YAY - 2 MORE DAYS!!!!. And today is baby day. My twin nephews should be here around 10am.
 
So if they now have an option for building preference, what about bed size preference?

We're at CBR and have to pay for a king bedroom (which we did :yay:), so it wasn't an option to request for me. I don't know if it is on any other resort...

Rolling your clothes really does make a difference, I pack most of our clothes already and I fit both ds clothes in one pretty small carry on with a little room left, and my clothes took up half my carry( and I over pack clothes). It also makes it look neater.

My Park Bag is a Bagallini "around town" bag to keep me organized, I have put a camera, iphone, my ID, KTTW cards, etc and still have room for a water bottle, sunscreen and my kids autograph books. I wanted a one stop bag and I think I found it!

I also learned from the Dis (and this is what we will do with the kids stuff) is to place each day's outfits in ziplock bags to keep things organized. instead of rummaging through their suitcases they can grab a bag and it's all there for them

Well I just finished doing this. Have some sort of organization system in place for all of your confirmation numbers, reservations, receipts etc.

I just printed off about 25 pages of hotel confirmations and car rental info and ticket order confirmations etc. Sure it's all in my email, but I like to have a back up and be able to produce the receipts etc if needed.

And can I just say I despise having physical tickets to bring. I pre-ordered from Undercover tourist and I am terrified I will forget them. If it was just the tickets I'd be ok, but I have about 1000 last minute to do and don't forget items swirling through my head and I don't want to forget something important:headache:

I also do something like this. I don't use Ziplocs, but I pack in outfits and roll it all together. Then when we unpack into the drawers we leave everything as an outfit instead of dividing it all and put it right into the drawers like that.

I also bring pop up hampers to put things to be washed in. I usually pick one afternoon to hang out at the pool and do our laundry. That way I can pack everything away clean and don't have to do it when I get home.
 
Just over a month left and I can't think of anything else. I'm at work reading Dis all day :scared1:

This is my first post (I've just been stalking the boards for the past few months:rolleyes1) We are staying at Kidani Village starting on the 28th. There are 9 of us going :grouphug:, my DW, DS3, dad, mom, cousin, cousin's husband and cousin's D4 (turning 5 during trip).
