****Official May 2012 Thread**** ALMOST TIME TO LEAVE!!

Thank you :)
Luckily my BMI is well below 30, which is the highest the clinic will accept so I don't have to worry about it. It's just that I had a personal goal in mind, which I didn't reach.

I am not going to stress out about it and will enjoy my trip to WDW with my mum and then start fresh after I come back

Just to share our own story - my wife and I had our own difficulties conceiving and we took a break from shots and IVF and all that for a month and went to Cozumel because we just needed a break from everything. As it turns out, a drunken night in Coz was more effective than all the fertility docs in the world. I wanted to name her Maya because she was conceived in the Riviera Maya (on an island we later found out was home to a Mayan fertility shrine) but my wife immediately shot that down. :)

Point is this - relax. Keep doing what you're doing but relax and realize that joy comes to us in so many different ways in this world. Don't miss out on them. Good luck to the two of you! :)

Funny similar story - had to go the full doctor route with my oldest, lots of heartache, $$ and angst, was on the last possible cycle when we had success. Drs. told me no way I would conceive again without the same treatments. Son was 9 months old, took a trip to the beach with DH and friends, several cocktails consumed and next thing you know, DD is on her way! ::yes:: For the first time in years, I was completely relaxed and not worried about conceiving, and what do you know? :thumbsup2

Rienchen - Here's some :wizard:, hope it's contagious! (only to those who want it, LOL!)

Very much in favor of the relax as much as you can approach!!!

Bonnet Creek. If it were just our family (us 4), we'd be at Pop again since we love it there but my MIL is coming along which makes it 5 and a lot more $$$ to stay on property :( Although Bonnet Creek is still inside the gates... we couldn't beat a full 2 bedroom condo with kitchen, living room, 2 bathrooms & balcony for $693 for an entire week.

I got a quote of $ 825 for 8 nights there which is much less then POR even with my AP discount but then I would have to get a car and have that expense. Have you heard anything about there shuttle system if it is any good? I really like using Disney transportation not having to drive when on vacation and the extra magic hours. So tempted with the space and price. Hope it works for you. Post your trip when you get back it would sure save a lot of money

We booked! Yes we are going May 13 to 21. Myself and three kids DH is no longer Disney fan but I will celebrate mothers day with my children. Staying POR have not stayed there since they were little now all grow up. 19, 21, and 23 years old. If you see us say hello three kids tall and thin myself short and not so thin. We originally booked BCreek for August. We'll likely move that reservation and use it in 2013. DD is bringing a friend and it makes more sense for us to be onsite with free dining. Plus she and friend can use the buses during the day without us and I feel confident that dd knows her way around.
I have the same concerns about the shuttle etc. So that will be better for when it's just the four of us again. We will likely rent a car.

I heard the funniest convo yesterday at my son's tball game. A father was telling a story about how cheap his sister is and how she shipped cases of water to her hotel for Disney. lol I don't think that's cheap!!
I think it's smart :) I really don't want to shell out the cost of a package of bottled water for just one, nor do I care for the tap water--so it's win-win, and of course just plain smart ;):teacher: (It's not like Disney has to worry, I use that money for souvinears anyways ;) )

Hello all! I am spending hours today making bows and seating chart! I am going to pack this week. We are looking at 3 days of rain here too! Please send prayers of no rain for May 5th!

Very Exciting!!! (well not the rain part) And will do a "NO Rain" dance for the 5th :goodvibes

Any of you May diser's want to to the single digit dance with me?:dancer::dancer::dance3::dance3::banana:

Me! Me! I'm so excited!!

I don't think it's cheap either. I just finished packing up box yesterday with items I plan on shipping down. Would rather pay the $15 to send snacks, etc and use the money saved on souvenirs. :goodvibes

oh I totally don't think it's cheap either! We are having water shipped to our resort too! I just laughed if he thought that was "being cheap"

Nah, I don't think shipping stuff is cheap. XD Personally, I just throw things into my checked airline bag for the hotel, and try my best to make sure it can't get crushed. :rotfl2:

21 days over here... it's crazy to think that in two days, we'll be in the "teen" numbers! Then, later next week, we get to the 10 day countdown... We've been counting down since 300something, so it's amazing to us.

I was debating if I should check into the hotel online, or not... I mean, what happens if you get delayed a day because of the plane, or something??

We do the same thing!

And new PJ's for all among other things.:drive:

I do the same... new underwear, socks, and pj's for all. I don't know it just screams vacation to me lol

Arggh I know 3 days of rain -___-! Please no rain on 5/5 and 5/6!

Well .. I'm back. 146 dollars later:confused:

If you're looking for us in the parks we'll be the ones with the new socks and underwear:rotfl:

My dd is in a skirt phase. She prefers them to shorts in warm weather. So I had to go buy bicycle shorts for underneath them because A) Skirts aren't very practical in a theme park and B) she wears a kilt in high school and apparently it's a teen boy sport to try to look up their kilts while they go up the stairs.:headache:
So that was part of the expense. And apparently socks and underwear add up.

The weather has been absolutely horrendous here for the past week and is supposed to stay pretty much the same for another week. The only upside to this is that I have been able to pack away all of my summer clothes knowing I will not need them before May 2nd ;-)

I CANNOT WAIT to board that plane to Orlando in 10 days! I remember when it was more than 200 days out and now we can do the single digit dance tomorrow
Still so much left to do and I feel like I haven't planned enough. We're going to follow Easywdw's recommendations for our park days and we're planning on pretty much avoiding the parks Saturday and Sunday and go shopping instead.

I was just getting bike shorts for my girls too!!!!! I am starting to pack (trip in 6 days) and I am OVERWHELMED! I get really stressed when packing! I have to pack for both girls and myself and everything that we ALL need. My husband just packs his clothes and loads up the SUV. I hope this stress subsides! We have a 15 hour drive so I stress about that too (but I stress more about flying so this is better).

We leave in 10 days! :cool1: I'll be stepping on WDW property in 11! :yay:
