Official May 2011 thread!

We're at 15 days. I have figured out the next 2 weeks and I have something to do each day... hopefully that makes it go quicker? I also saw they're going to have Cars 2 stuff set up in DTD the weekend we arrive. I think we're going to try to make it there the first night we get there just so DS will be able to see Lightning because the way it sounds, they'll be gone from HS on that Wednesday that we'll be there.

I did a bit more shopping today & went through all our juice/water to take along. I hope it's enough!!!

I just booked a last minute solo trip for May 11 - 14. I'm excited as this is my first solo trip. I'm meeting up with a few friends that work there for part of the time, though ! A Little nervous :scared1:

18 days! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

I know I'll be busy between now and then. We just got our kitchen redone (cabinets, countertops, and new sink) and so I'm going to be spending the next few days getting our kitchen back into order.

Next weekend is Mother's Day and I'll be spending a few days with my mom. I also have two personal training sessions next week. Then the weekend after that we'll be getting packed and last minute details in order.

To all those leaving this weekend and during the upcoming first week of May...have a wonderful trip. I hope the weather is great and the Dis Magic just sparkles!!!

--Jess
Thank you! Hope you all have a GREAT trip!!!

I finished up work this morning and am now off for 2 weeks. 10 days of that will be spent at WDW. Leaving Saturday. :banana::banana::banana:

I got a hard hit reality shock today. I live in Alabama and had multiple family members who lost homes and business, friends who lost loved ones not to mention everything they own. I am still excited about my trip and can't wait to get there, but I realized today upon seeing the devastation in my community, we are not promised to even get to Disney. It just put a whole new perspective on life and the things in life that are important. I was lucky and my home was not damaged and my family is alive. Those of you who are praying folks, please remember the families who have been touched by this tragedy. Alabama had more than 200 storm related deaths, and this number keeps increasing. Thank you very much.

I will keep you all in my prayers. I'm glad you're ok and your family.

I am also from Alabama and keeping everyone in my prayers my town was unaffected but towns close to us were.

It's almost May! :woohoo:

I'm just now making lunch/dinner plans (we booked our trip a few weeks ago). Plus, my new camera arrives tomorrow!

We'll keep your community in our prayers.

On April 16th, when all the tornados touched down in NC, we had one that went through our neighborhood. I can look out my bedroom window and see houses that are completely demolished. I know what you mean about how it puts things in perspective.

The south is definitely in our thoughts and prayers right now. The weather changes have become so scary in the last few years. It worries me to know what our children may have to endure sooner than later :(

I am trying to just focus on the good and be happy for what we have today. 2 weeks from today, we will be on the road and headed towards Disney World!!! I cannot believe it's in only 2 weeks. I feel like the rush is on now.
