Official May 2011 thread!

We leave in 28 days (4 weeks from today) and I am doing something today that I haven't done in quite some time.....going clothes shopping for MYSELF :dancer: No sir, my kids aren't taking this weeks paycheck from me for their clothes buying, school giving, lunch money, or whatever else they take it for....instead I am going out for myself. If they need money, then they can just go talk to Dad!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl: :dancer:

GOOD FOR YOU!!!:goodvibes I am planning on doing the same thing! I hope you find some good deals. :cheer2:

We're leaving May 4th and we've received the passes for the Magical Express, we've yet to receive the paper confirmation w/ the tags and all that stuff. Any idea when that should show up?

We leave May 2nd and we are also still waiting on resort Mickey Mail. I am giving it until Saturday, then I'm calling to see if it's been mailed out yet...that was my compromise to keep myself from calling too soon!

This is my schedule:

May 9th - Arrive in the airport at 10am and hopefully get to CR early afternoon. We will go to Fantasia Gardens first thing and go to MK later in the day when the crowds start decreasing because it's an evening EMH day.

May 10th - Epcot, Dinner at California Grill at 8pm

May 11th - Epcot or MK

May 12th - Epcot or MK or shopping

May 13th - Check out and leave

As you can see, I'm having trouble deciding which parks to go to on my 3rd and 4th day. :rotfl:

You should definitely do the extra magic hours on May 10th at MK.

24 Days 16 Hours and 27 minutes until I leave my house for the plane to Disney!!!! Only 2 weeks and a day until I can check in. :cool1:

Just got our ME packet!!!! We're 35 days out and so excited!!

Just paid off the balance - I guess we're really going now!

Leaving on Memorial Day Monday...52 days, 20 hours until we head for DEN...

We will be renting a car at MCO and so will not be using ME. Does that mean there won't be any Mickey Mail? It would be nice to get a packet from WDW at least acknowledging that they know we're coming.

You'll get a package approximately 30 days out with luggage tags, confimations, etc

28 days and...

and....

wait for it...

Mickey Mail came today!!!!!

and WOW I love  the new luggage tags!!!

We're heading to WDW May 8-14 (coming up soon!). We choose this time of year since it fit our schedules, but also was *between* really busy seasons (spring break and beginning of summer break). Everything is planned and ready to go - but I've been noticing that up to the end of April, Disney changed the park hours quite a bit (opening earlier, adding Fantasmic times, etc).

I know that the time up to Easter is really busy, which is why they are changing time times - but should I expect major changes like this for the second week of May as well, or is the schedule likely to stay as is, since it won't be as busy?

Any reassuring advice would help calm my nerves a bit, thanks!!

^That's one more day than us!

It's our first trip so I can't give you any advice as I don't have any experience, but I'm hoping the schedule stays the same :)

What time do you fly out on the 2nd? I'm thinking this may be my day/hour/minute countdown too :rolleyes1

We have gone the past 3 Mays during the second week. We have never had a lot of park hours added at the last minute. Usually just a couple of extra F! shows added in. Crowd levels will be lower so there's no need for them to extend hours or add a lot of extra EMH's at the last minute. That being said, I'm sure it could happen, but here's to hoping it doesn't :thumbsup2...I've already printed final copies of all my scheduling stuff and used it to make my planning journal!

Just got my Magical Express mail...! I'm assuming this isn't THE "Mickey mail" that we're all waiting for though.

How long did it take you guys to get your Mickey mail after you got the Magical Express mail?

It's getting so close! I have 33 days left to go!! I already started packing because in 7 days, I leave for a week long trip out of state to see a friend get married. After I get back I have just about 2 weeks to go, so I figured, I would was the clothes in my suit case and repack them for Disney!

22 more days!!!! I cant believe it's almost here!!!! It looks like it's been really hot there recently. What do we think it'll be in May? We have been when it's been in the low 80's, but also in 2009 when it hit 100!!!:scared1:
