Official May 2011 thread!

:thumbsup2 What a fantastic surprise!!! Where you expecting to see him at that time? or was that a surprise also???

Have a great time planning

How awesome is that????? I'm sure it will be WONDERFUL for you to be together AND at the happiest place on earth to boot! It doesn't get much better than that! :thumbsup2

Can your husband call up my husband and give him some tips on how to surprise his lady with a trip? Granted my hubby is great at going along for the ride, but never in FIVE MILLION YEARS can I see him planning a trip on his own. What can I say? He needs me or he'd sit at home every day of the year saving money for nothing. :rotfl:

Thanks guys! :goodvibes

ocalla His tour actually got cut short by two months, so it was awesome to hear he planned a WDW trip on top of coming back early! :wizard:

MellyBeans hahaha! My DH still needs help with the planning too! But I was impressed that he took the initiative to book our resort without me! If there is hope for mine there is hope for yours too! :woohoo:

Just wanted to say how AWESOME!!! your trip will be!! I would totally love to stay that long at WDW/IOA. You guys are going to have a great time!

Thanks,it's only doable because my kids are older now. They can handle all the craziness of so many days. Some how every trip we have been, we always think it would have been nice to have a few more days,so we added them this time, lol.I am sure we will be exhausted when we get home.

We are doing Fantasmic on the 3rd too. Do you think this is the best night this week to do it? Friday has a lower predicted crowd level than Tuesday, but I thought being a Friday and the fact that MK will be closed for a Grad Night that Tuesday would be the better F! day. What do you think? Also, I'm hoping they add a second show to Tuesday...if so, we may just shoot for that instead of the earlier one.

I'm thinking the same thing about Friday. I think there will be a crowd since MK will be closed for Grad nights. I think Tuesday is definitely the better day. I wonder how soon they would add another show if they were going to. Does anyone know?

Boy I hate this.....I thought I had less days left than I really did. I have been off by one day in my countdown. As of today we have 35 days left :sad2:. It feels like my ticker is going at a snails pace, with this extra day added on to it, it seems even slower. I need to brush up on my math skills :rotfl:

I count my days like this. You don't count today because, well, it's today and it's here already.;) You don't count the day you leave, because, well, it's the day you leave. I only count the days in between!

3 days is not too long IF he is a big SW fan. I heard some of the lines can get a bit crazy and long, so if he is going to wait in lines to see the special guests, get photos/autographs of the characters in their SW outfits, so the special shows, etc, then you may very well need 3 days...esp if you want to do any non-SW things like TSMM, RnR or ToT a few times.

Enjoy!:goodvibes

We are not doing celebrities, but he wants to see ALL of the Star Wars characters, the parade, the hoopla, and do jedi training.....And a couple of non star wars things!!

WooHoo....I feel so much better thanks. Can't wait to be there, so sick of this cold and ugliness of winter.....Come on May :yay::yay::yay:

Last year I didn't know until we got down there that they had added the extra shows. But it never occurred to me to check the week before to see if they had been added. Maybe we'll know once steve soares updates his page for our week?? Do they update the calendar on the Disney website to reflect the extra/added show?

Actually, you may be quite the contrary. With extra days you won't have to rush around as much!

I always said that my ideal time to spend would be one month minimum.

one week - wdw
one week - sea world/ioa
one week - relaxing
one week - wdw a second time

If I every won the "unlimited-lottery of time and money" I'd love to see how long it would take until I got bored with WDW/Orlando. I just really can't imagine it...:goodvibes
