I have a weather-related question.


Our other two trips were both the second week of September. Very low crowds, but HOT HOT HOT! We still had fun though.. This upcoming trip will be May 21-30, and I was curious how it compares to September regarding the heat and humidity. I will be thrilled if it's a bit cooler than September.

What is your definition of Hot? I love the 90's. My hubby thinks 72 is hot Our May trips have been the second week of May & it's been highs in the 80's - mid 90's. But cooler mornings and evenings. Perfect for hitting parks early, then back at a resort to play in they pool (kids have just as much fun at the Disney pools as they do at the Disney rides). Then cooler evenings for dinner at the parks and more ride time.

It's all relative - if it's 95 at 2pm - sitting at the pool with a frozen drink is much different than sitting on hot pavement waiting for a parade to start drinking a warm bottle of water.

We upgraded our stay from the POP to the CSR...it'll be our first time at the CSR but I can't wait!

Sooo exicted about finally booking our trip! Booked May 6-10 at Pop Century for DH, my two daughters, myself and my SIL, BIL and two nieces. It is the first trip for SIL/BIL and their children and we can't wait!! Got the military discount for room and dining and the discounted military tix as well! Hurry up, Spring!

We will be at WDW in May as well.. May 4th thru May 12th staying at CSR. So excited, this will be my 11th trip.. Celebrating 3 Birthdays, hubby's, mine and our sons.. I have been up since 3:00am so excited because today I get to make my ADR's, so much fun but so much Stress.. See you all on FB.. my other obsession.. haha

I feel like I'm going crazy trying to come up with dining options. Anyone have exeperience with large groups? There will be 8 of us and I've NEVER done a trip with so many people.

If I had that many people I would be sticking to buffets (everyone will have lots of options) and good food courts (for the same reason). Sounds like the easy way out, but that would be my choice!

There are 8 of us going May 3-13th, 4 adults and 4 children. I had no problems making reservations at the following:
Chef Mickeys
Cape May Cafe
50's Prime Time Cafe
Liberty Tree Tavern
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Teppan Edo
Tutto Italia
Tony's Town Square

The only ones she said we may not be able to sit together were Liberty Tree and 50's but she said to ask when we check in to see if they could accommodate our group! I am so excited, I can't wait

I've got my ADRs all done! I'm debating on whether or not I want to do character dining. I think it would be lots of fun, but a lot of those places are expensive. I also have the feeling none of the characters would come to my table because my boyfriend and I are in our 20's and they would much rather go to the little kids. I definitely wouldn't want to spend a lot of money on that.

I want to book more ADRs, but I don't want to be on a time constraint because of 'em. I would love to try all these restaurants, but I would much rather spend more time riding than eating. My boyfriend doesn't want to snack, but have meals for lunch and dinner. What should I do?

Ok! I'm officially booked. Hard Rock Hotel at Universal May 14th and 15th, then on to the Beach Club, Club Level, May 16th-20th.

Now, to just finalize those pesky dining plans!!!

My boyfriend doesn't want me to make any more ADRs since he doesn't really care. He will be ok with eating a burger or a hot dog as long as it isn't some snack item. I do want to have a nice breakfast one day, but they are so pricey.

My mom told me the character dining was a waste of money. We went to the Crystal Palace when we went last time (January 2000) and the characters just visited the table for a short amount of time and left. If it was like that when I was 9, I'm afraid of what it will be like now that I'm 20 (21 during the trip)!

These are my ADRs so far:

April 30th - Portobello @ 6:00pm (20 month anniversary dinner)
May 1st - Mama Melrose's @ 5:35pm
May 2nd - Tony's @ 12:15pm (21st birthday lunch); California Grill @ 9:10pm (21st birthday dinner/Wishes)
May 3rd - Nothing (Not sure if I want to add something or not)
May 4th - Biergarten @ 12:00pm; Teppan Edo @ 6:30pm
May 5th - Nothing (This is a flex day so I don't want to commit to anything)
May 6th - Nothing (Restaurantasaurus doesn't require an ADR)

I might fill in something for the 3rd, but that's our "Maybe MK" day because we are going to MK after MGM closes since MK is open til 2am, plus we are going to MK all day on the 2nd so we aren't sure if we want to spend all day, half day at MK or go to a different park.

Should I make reservations for Raglan Road on the 2nd or can I just walk on in for the bar since I don't plan on eating?
