Official May 2011 thread!

hi
we are coming over from the uk on may the 12th and i cannot tell you how excited i am !!!
we got married last year but our honeymoon plans were unfortunatley put on hold as my brother was diagnosed with cancer
i am happy to report though that he is currently in remission so me hubby and our gorgeous 2 children are staying at POFQ nest year for 2 weeks !!
would love to hear anyones hints tips and advice
does anyone know if there is a facebook group about us may holidayers ??
am currently working out our ADR'S which is a minefield so will no doubt be on here again soon !!
look forward to speaking to you guys all soon !

We are making our ADRs on Saturday and can't wait! We have almost all of our restaurants chosen and would love to discuss if you want to.

This is our list:
Day 1: DHS...Sci-Fi or Mama Melrose (?)
Day 2: MK...Liberty Tree for dinner
Day 3: Epcot...Teppan Edo and San Angel Inn
Day 4: Break day...Kona Cafe (breakfast, OOP)
Day 5: Animal Kingdom. Sanaa for dinner (?)
Day 6: Epcot...Chefs de France and Beingarten
Day 7: Break...Cali Grill
Day 8: DHS...Brown Derby (lunch, OOP)
Day 9: MK...Liberty tree (lunch)
Day 10: enjoy AKL and go home

We are not sure what to do you with our final TS credit...should we try Sanaa? (Not sure about the food there) Or go with a classic dinner at Sci-fi or mama melrose? Opinions from anyone welcome!

We just added another room to our gathering... now we will be joined by my MIL/FIL and two nieces- age 17 and 13. Their first trip, too! Soooo excited!

Our plan so far:

Fri May 6: arrival day- hoping to see Fantasmic that night and grab some grub at Earl of Sandwich! Yummy!!
Sat May 7: HS in morning, Epcot in the afternoon (lunch at Le Cellier)
Sun May 8: Epcot in morning, MK at night (Dinner at Cinderella's)
Mon May 9: AK in morning, MK at night (Dinner at Crystal Palace)

Sanaa is REALLY good! We ate there last trip..... The food was good and the view was lovely!

however they cant book until the end of the month so rather than book our meals and not be able to all go together i thought i would book the first weeks when they are able to book theirs too
even if we dont get our exact choices at least we will all be together !!

I am a bit confused? Why don't you booked now with them in your party? You can book it with them in your party. You don't have to wait until they can book too.

I got a pin code too and I am staying at CSR. There is a facebook group.. I think its WDW May 2011 (although there is not alot of action there). I booked all my Adr's last Fri. So, excited, I can't wait until May!

Hi! So my friend T triple-dog dared me to book a trip for May, and I'm taking the dare. I know my husband and daughter are going to want to stay at the lodge, but I want to stay at FQ again (that's where we are next month), especially hearing about this pool party being planned! We will be going 5/27-5/31, my youngest will turn 11 on the 30th, and I'm planning to surprise my kids with the trip.

We made nearly all of our ADR's for our whole trip at our 180 days's on Monday this week...except we haven't been able to book the Fantasic dinner package we were looking for. I've been calling twice a day - once at call center opening and then again on my way home from work. Always the same thing - the tables haven't been released yet - call back in a few days. I'm hoping for a closer to normal dinner time so I don't want to risk waiting a week.

Anyone else having issues trying to book the Fantasmic dinner package in May. We are going the 2nd week, Yesterday would have been the 180 for the Fanstmic day - I was really hoping I would get in yesterday or today.

We're so excited to try Cali Grill for the first time! Other firsts for this trip: Mama Melrose, WCC, Sanaa, Brown Derby, Beingarten, and LTT for lunch. It's gonna be a good week of eating!
