Official May 2009 Thread....The wait is on!!

Hi May Disers, well at least I got our return home flight booked back to Chicago! $83 is a steal, so happy with that and got the time I wanted....esp when you factor in the 3 hr ahead of flight pick up by ME!

While I am sooo glad that they finally published the May hours, I am bummed that Hollywood Studios closes at 7:00 on the 29th and 30th. That is supposed to be Star Wars Weekend.

And, with their new layout, I can't figure out how to find the parade and fireworks schedule. Can somebody help me out here?

Go to Discover at the top, click the park you want, scroll down to Calendars and then click on the day you are interested in and it will show parades etc. Wishes and Fantasmic are not listed yet though, well as of yesterday, I haven't checked today!

I am with you all. The thing that I really need is the Wishes time. I am planning a 60th birthday party around it!

Does anyone know what time restaurants close when there are EMH's? Does everything just close at the normal time or does that mean that restaurants are open later as well?

100 days until vacation!

I think the restaurants close at the regular times.

SCORE!! I hat that ME pick up 3 hrs early. We end up sitting at the airport for 2 hours waiting for our flight. I was thinking of missing my ME time and catching the next bus since they pick up about every half hour.

Congrats on the cheap airfare! We're in the Detroit area and were able to get Spirit for 100$pp round trip! For those of us lucky enough to be able to take vacations there are great deals out there!

Hi all! :grouphug:

Im new to this site. Im soooo excited to be going back to Disneyworld. We will be there from may 8th to the 15th. Staying at CBR. This will be the first time staying there. We will have a new pirate room. I get to make my Adr this saturday. Im also glad they finally came out with the park hours. Anyone know why it took so long? They used to come out with them six months in advance. Is it because they changed there dining reservations to 90 days?

There has been alot of speculation as to why the delay, hours for Wishes have not been posted at the WDW site yet, (at this moment).
Perhaps it has to do with bookings, they have continued to extend the 4/1 deal and are now extending it thru mid August.
You can still book Cinderella's Royal Table TS and Chef Mickeys , they are not apart of the 90 day booking rule.
I was able to get both for our trip:)
Have fun in the pirate room! THere are some photos here, somewhere of the actual rooms!
have fun at CBR:beach:

Thanks Disneybride.

I actually have our chef mickeys booked already. The rest i can book saturday. Ive seen alot of the photos on this site. The rooms look great. Ive been lurking for awhile.

:cool1: Count me in, we are staying at Emerald Island, between 2nd May through 16th.
Just want to confirm "Wishes" times then I can finalise my ADR's.:cool1:

We were able to get round-trip, NS from Indianapolis to Orlando for $90 each through AirTran. Also, since we booked it so early, we don't have to pay the new baggage fee they have since implemented. It is amazing!

Hey Kristin we too will be at the CBR 13-20th. Our stay will overlap yours by a few days. We are fellow New Yorkers- a few hours southeast of you (in Horseheads). Have fun planning and making those ADR's. I can't call mine in till next week.

Hey neighbor. CBR seems so nice. Are you staying in one of the new rooms? This will be our first time at this resort. Happy counting down.

wow! I should just start thinking abt driving out of state to fly out! LOL That is amazing too!!! I have never flown AirTran yet, have you? I may have to go check them out!
Hey, Happy DisneyMoon!!! Awesome! What are your dates? Wear the buttons if you cant get the new DH to wear the ears! lol
We had a "familymoon" as I already had kids:) You are going to have a magical time:)

When did you book, we booked our flights on AirTran out of Indy in October and it $140 round trip.

Kristin- We didn't request a pirate room last year when we started making plans. This is my family's first trip to WDW (DS is 9 and DD is 6) and the resort alone will excite everyone. We are flying out of Rochester as the rates were much better than Elmira-Corning Regional.
When I suggested this last year I had no idea there was so much to learn and plan. Thank god I found this site!

We flew AirTran last August from Indy to Las Vegas. We really liked it. Very little hassle, low-stress, and they gave us two snacks and unlimited drinks to and from, which was a bit of a surprise given how much airlines were cutting back at the time.

We're getting married May 16th, and we'll be at Disney from the 17th to the 23rd. We're staying at POR and we're both getting really excited. We'll have to get the buttons as I think FH would be mortified wearing the ears. :)

We booked in early September. I just checked the prices on the Disney site. It looks like the flights we're on have gone up to around $200 each since we booked (we booked through Disney; we wanted it as hassle-free as possible). Looking up the flights through AirTran's site shows an $89/$92 web special per person, one way. If not through the web special, it's got $226. Sheesh the prices have gone up. We paid as much for both of us, round trip, as they're charging for one person, one way (or two people, one way with the special).
