Official May 17th Alaska Cruise Thread!

We are in Orange County (SoCal)...and will be flying from LA to Vancouver on the 15th...have you booked any shore excursions yet?

We have not set up any excursions. We only made the reservation for the cruise 3 weeks ago, so we're quite a bit behind.

(My apologies to everybody else. Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I can't seem to PM MontanaDJ until I have 10 posts.)

At this rate...we'll be at ten posts soon...tried to put my email but it won't let me :sad2: anyone else traveling with kids?

We should definitely get together MontanaDJ. We're traveling from the Bay Area (California) and will be flying up to Seattle.

When are you flying into Seattle? How are you planning to get to Vancouver? We are flying in to Seattle on Monday morning and taking the quick shuttle to Vancouver for the night. And then taking the quick shuttle back and flying home from Seattle into Sacramento.

We are flying into Seattle Monday morning and staying in Seattle Monday night. We are taking the train to Vancouver on Tuesday morning.

We are taking the quick shuttle directly to Seattle airport on Tuesday when we fly home.

If you join entertainment.com, I believe that I paid $30.00 for the year there is a coupon for half off the quick Shuttle. You still have to pay the full amount up front and then when you do the trip give them the coupon and they will refund you back. Worth saving a little money. You may also find a coupon for somewhere to eat dinner in Seattle.

We already bought the Quick Shuttle tickets. Is it too late to get the entertainment book?

Is this where we can find someone to leave mail, etc. in the fish extenders? Or is that somewhere else...I'd like to order one from ebay, but want to make sure that it will be used on the cruise...Thanks!

First fot the entertainment, you are not too late. After you join you print out the coupon within two weeks of using it. When you board the bus you give a copy of your reciept and the coupon to the driver and you will be refunded.

As for the fish extenders this is where the groups are made and put together. I am not sure how to make a list and add on to the list myself. I would love to be able to do it but just not sure how to put it together. If there are others who wish to do it I can ask the May 3rd cruise how to do the list, they have alot of different groups and activities planned so I am sure that I could get help with it. Lets see who is interested.

I just looked on my entertainment account and the coupon is good for half off for two people fro the Quick Shuttle. They can only be printed within two weeks of using and must be given to the driver with your confermation number. We have reservations on the 9:15 shuttle on May 24 back to seattle. I also checked for coupons for restaurants and there are several on the site, it may be worth the savings.

I would definitely like my family to be part of a group...so consider us in at least for leaving notes and stuff like that...not sure how many get togethers we can do as we have grandma and grandpa and they can be a bit antisocial...please let me know what we need to do!

We literally just got off the Dream about 45 minutes ago! My DW, DMIL and I just booked this cruise on the Dream! We cannot be more excited! I see that nobody has started an Fish Exchange yet. Are people interested in participating?

If people are interested in doing a Fish Exchange, I can help keep a master list of everyone who wants to participate. Please reply back or PM me with your DIS name, state room number and who is in your cabin (with ages). I will keep an ongoing list on this post. Thanks!

Glad to see there are others going on this cruise. I just found the Disney discussion board. Been on Cruise Critic and only one other couple had said they were on this cruise. We are a half-retired couple from Tampa, Florida area going on our 3rd Disney cruise. We will be flying into Vancouver (did get a pretty good price on American Airlines, a Tuesday sale) Staying at the Best Western on Monday night then at a time share for a couple on nights after the cruise. Hope to catch up with some of you. We would love to do the Fish Extenders also. Will get my daughter to make us some.

Welcome to the cruise, which Best Western are you staying at? We are at the downtown one.

Hello fellow cruisers!! My mom (MomofCTurp), DH and I booked this cruise about a week ago while we were on the 3 Day sailing aboard the Disney Dream (March 10-13), although we have been planning on going on this cruise for the past year or so (so needless to say- we have been lurking on this cruise meet thread).

While on our March 10th Dream cruise, we participated in our very first FE gift exchange, and had a blast! It was always so exciting to come back to our stateroom and find a little something from a fellow DISer in our fish extender.

My husband (nick.turpchinoff) is keeping a list of everyone who is interested in participating in the FE for our May 17th Alaskan Disney Cruise!!
All he needs is the names and ages of the guests in your party, and stateroom number.

And last but not least, do you think that we need to decide on a cut off date for joining the FE, so everyone can be well prepared for our FE gift exchange?

My wife and I are booked as well. She is from Evansville.

This is going to be our 4th Disney Cruise and 3rd on the Wonder. How was the dream? We are booked for the 5 day cruise on the Dream in January. We can't wait.

We will usually found at the Cadillace lounge before and after dinner.

Frank.
