***Official March 2025 Thread***

Congratulations! I was surprised too. Maybe people are holding off on trips until all the new enhancements are in place...?
I also hoping for lower crowds. I know most are excited about the new things coming but I really miss some of the attractions that have been taken away especially the Great Movie Ride and the Universe of Energy dinosaurs.

It’s been pretty quiet in here lately! Everyone busy planning? We leave in two weeks for our trip. We have started gathering items to start thinking about packing Will probably start, next weekend. Still trying to decide to bring shorts or pants. I’ve been to Disney many times but never in March. How does everyone decide what to wear…. Cute or comfy?

I'm predicting sunny, warm/hot with temps in the 80's. :) Anything above 74 degrees equals "shorts" weather to me. :)

Last year we went to FL the third week of March (not Orlando, but still central FL), and I recall that the first two weeks of March were very sunny and warm, but as soon as we arrived it changed to overcast and cool. Our 2025 trip is a little over 3 weeks away, so I'll be watching the 10 day forecast with great interest! Hoping for sunny and warm!

I always dress in athleisure, shorts and tanks/tees, with a light jacket on hand. Joggers if it's going to be lower 60s or below. I gave my 13yo daughter a small budget for some park outfit/ear combos this time, as she has expressed an interest in thematic dressing and Disney bounding before. She found some really adorable ears on Etsy and some cute tees to go with. So I'm the comfy one and she's the cute one! :) We are doing the droid experience with our 9yo son this time, and I wasn't sure what to do for her in the parks as an equivalent, so giving her a shopping allowance pre-trip filled that hole nicely.

Did everyone catch the announcement about standby queues for Cosmic Rewind and Tiana? That will definitely have an effect on planning!

I have mixed feelings about this. I'm excited about Tiana, as we only have an After Hours ticket for MK and with a standby queue we now have a chance to ride between 7 and 10pm (whereas before we had zero opportunity to ride it). And I'm crossing my fingers that this will also lead to them adding it to the After Hours list!

As for Cosmic Rewind, we have always used the VQ along with LLSP to ride it twice in one day, so I'm feeling that loss as I don't think we will stand in a 2 hour plus line to ride it standby. If they add it to Early Entry...hoo boy....I'm gonna have to think about it. I swore last year that I was done with rope dropping forever, as I didn't think it was worth the sleep deficit anymore (which is really hard on the constitution of our son in particular, and always led to bad days on the back end), and we have become very good at gaming LLMP to our advantage and riding everything we want without rope dropping. In addition, our Epcot day is after our MK After Hours Day (i.e. a late, late night), so I'm pretty sure rope drop is just a no go for us and I need to be satisfied with only one ride on Cosmic Rewind this trip! (Maybe two if we get in line at park closing?)

Eric Burris gave a great little peek into March’s weather forecast this morning if anyone is interested.

Looks like early March has a cold front. Then a number of storms here and there through about mid-march.

Thanks everyone! I’m leaning towards comfy and cool this trip. I expect it to be warm and rainy, so for now, that’s what I am planning for. We will see when we get a little bit closer. Our trip is March 5-9th.

RivGirl- I’m not happy about the virtual queue going away for Guardians of the Galaxy I’m not crazy about waiting in a 2 hour line to ride and I’m sure that’s how long the wait will be most days. I will likely just pay to ride on our upcoming trip. We aren’t getting any lightning lanes for our trip, just getting done what we can get done. Hopefully we will be able to ride it at least once! As for Tiana’s, I have not yet gotten to ride it so depending on how the wait is I may or may not ride it. It’s not a must ride for me (I don’t love the big drop) as I have watched many videos of it online. We are taking it very leisurely pace this trip (compared to past trips) so we will see what we re able to ride. Thanks for all the information and helpful tips!

For what it’s worth, I think March 5 is expected to be on the cooler side. Of course nothing can be set in stone this far out

Hey all, I’m hopping on the March bandwagon! My hubby and I are visiting our nephew and his fiancé in Houston for a few days in March, which will be a jam packed trip checking out the city and going to the rodeo, so we decided to tack on a short “recovery trip” to Disney before heading back home to Buffalo, NY. We will be flying from Houston to Orlando on 3/16 and flying home on 3/19.

We are staying at Coronado Springs for the first time - we’ve visited and eaten at a couple of places but we are excited to actually stay and really explore the resort. Here’s our very loose plan; since this is a trip to relax we aren’t going too crazy. Plus we were just there in December… we just can’t stay way from our happy place! LOL!

Sunday, 3/16 - Arrive at the hotel around 2:30; explore the resort and possibly hang out at the pool until our room is ready; go to Dahlia Lounge and Three Bridges for drinks/munchies/dinner

Monday, 3/17 - Epcot for the day to explore the Flower & Garden Festival and eat around the world (if it’s hot we will take a pool break and head back to Epcot for the evening)

Tuesday, 3/18 - Disney Springs for some shopping and lunch at Homecomin’; hotel/pool break; then we will see where the wind takes us… maybe hang out at the hotel in the evening, maybe head over to Wilderness Lodge to go to Geyser Point, maybe go to Riviera to eat at Primo Piatto, maybe back to Disney Springs for Polite Pig or some lounge hopping

Wednesday, 3/19 - breakfast at Rix Cafe and then transportation to the airport

I like checking another resort off my list in my quest to stay at them all!

Love this kind of relaxed trip!

I am cancelling a Topolino’s party of four at 10:25 on Friday, March 28 if anyone wants to coordinate. Dropping it on Thursday, Feb 20.

Don’t know why I haven’t been getting notifications on this thread.
We arrive on March 8. I’m waiting for a couple of things I ordered from Amazon, but for the mist part think I am ready.

How does everyone decide what to wear…. Cute or comfy?
I am hoping for warm, but not too hot temps for the week we are there. I always prioritize comfort over cute.

I was hoping we could use both VQ and LL since we have never ridden this ride before. Oh well, I will definitely purchase the LL.

We are trying to make this more of a relaxed trip this time. We are only purchasing the LL for Guardians and Tron. We have also only booked 1 ADR. It will be interesting to see how this goes.

We will also be at CSR from the 14-19th, it's our first time there also. We will not be doing any parks during our stay there, our DD is playing in a college softball tournament nearby! We will be relaxing at the pool and a few of the lounges when we're not at the softball fields!

Just found this thread. Our family, me, my wife, our son, daughter, son-in-law, and grand daughter will be going March 16-21. We will be staying at Bay Lake Tower for the first time and are excited to be close to MK, but hope the refurbishment doesn’t cause us problems. We go every year during spring break since my daughter is a teacher. We are ok with not being able to get as much done, and much prefer the weather over summer. We will do LLMP to make sure we can get some things done, since we hate to wait in long lines. Our trips have become more about our grand daughter(age 2) and what she wants anyway, so very few thrill rides.

Welcome. Disney will be interesting though the eyes of a 2 year old.

I just heard from the friends who were planning to meet us at Disney and have just cancelled their trip due to unexpectedly losing their job. I’m afraid they won’t be alone. 🙁 we really planned this trip around seeing them but we will still come.
So sorry to hear that. I hope things improve for them soon.

I'm very excited about the long MK hours on 3/14 - 8:00 to 11:00. A pleasant surprise.

Crowded I'm sure, but a lot can be done with a 7:30 EE!
We have Keys to the Kingdom at 9:00 that day. I’m not sure if we are going to rope drop.

I am not so patiently waiting for the last thing I need to do which is purchase lightning lanes.

I have 3 medical appointments the week before we leave. I so need this vacation.

Lightening lanes seemed to progress pretty darn quick this morning for first week of March compared to my Nov trip making me think more crowds than predicted in crowd calendars.

Are you going next week? I know on another "tourist" blog I thread, they said first week of March would be more busy than normal.
