I’ve never started a thread like this before, but since no one else has…….

I really enjoy planing Disney trips, but think my family and friends are already tired of listening to me talk about Disney.

Our trip will consist of me (57 at the time of the trip), dh (62), and dd (24). Dh is a college professor and dd is starting graduate school on the 19th, so this is why we are going during college spring break (March 8-15). Not my favorite time, but summer is too hot for me. We will be staying at All Star Music. We always stay at the budget resorts due to cost.

We are planning a slightly different trip this time with a little more focus on experiences. We want to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour, the sip, savor, sparkle fireworks package, and a couple of after hours events. Since we will be there during the flower and garden festival I am looking forward to seeing who will be in concert that week.

We are also doing something that some may consider crazy. We are not booking any ADRs with the possible exception of Hoop Dee Doo if we can get it.

So now I am anxiously awaiting the announcement of the after hours dates and the concert line up.

Okay March guests, please jump in and join the conversation.

It sounds like your trip is going to be amazing!

We will be there March 20-27, during our spring break. I hope it isn't too crazy crowds-wise!
We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for the first time and are very excited!

Thanks. I hope it will be amazing. I need to start walking so I will be prepared.
One of my bucket list items is a stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Maybe someday I will splurge.

I would really love to go March 28- April 6. Any ideas on how get insight about the timeline of closing of Rivers of America etc at MK. I’m sure BTMRR will be closed, which is a huge bummer for me. But if there are going to be construction walls up by then, it makes more sense (for personal reasons) to delay our trip a year or two.

Not sure if this is the best place to post my question, but hoping someone might have ideas on where to find some hints.

I really hope Big Thunder Mountain isn’t closed when I am there. It’s one of the few coasters I can tolerate.

I don’t know where to ask about the closings timeline. I’m going to go in March and make the best of what is there. I’m already planning a 2027/28 trip in my head.

We just booked a bounceback reservation for March. We're staying at POR from March 9 -13. I'm really looking forward to the Flower & Garden Festival and the nice weather in March. :)

You will be there the same time we will. I’m hoping there is someone I want to see performing in the concert series.

I love the concert series. We've seen some very good groups. The unknown ones have been surprisingly good. :)

We just booked the Swan for 3/10-3/14 - we will be doing Disney then heading to Fort Myers to watch our DD play in a college softball tournament!

We had a trip planned for this September to celebrate my 60th birthday but had to cancel due to DH being diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer. The good news is that he is responding well to treatment and should be recovering from the chemo by March.

Welcome ThreeKMom. Your trip is about the same time as mine? College spring break?
Thank you! Yes my youngest is a senior this year at University of Scranton and this will be the last softball spring break tournament!

Hello, planning a short trip this coming March: two days at Universal in two days at Disney.

I was wondering, when is a good time to arrive at Jellyrolls? We’d like to have an easy time finding a table but for the place to not be totally dead. It’ll be a Tuesday during spring break if that matters.

Ok

Welcome to the thread!
Unfortunately I can’t help with the Jellyrolls question. I have never been there. Hopefully someone else will be able to give you an answer.

Thank you! I'm sure I can create a thread to get more feedback if I need to :)

Booked Pop for 3/5-12…really liked using Skyliner but may do a split stay if I find an AP discount for WL. Also really like Coronado despite its huge size it’s just such a beautiful and relaxing resort.

Hello March planner peeps! My family of 7 will be going to Disney World March 5-9. We will be staying in a 2 bedroom villa with a Savannah view at Animal Kingdom Kidani. We decided to splurge a little (or a lot) on this trip. We are mostly going for EPCOT but will visit all the parks as we bought park hopper tickets. We want to take this trip a little more casual than our previous trips. We are excited to enjoy extra magic hours. Does anyone know when those are released?

Welcome to the thread. We have stayed at Pop Century twice and really liked it. I’ll give the skyliner a pass though. I’m not fond of heights.

Welcome to the thread. I am so envious. Animal Kingdom with savannah view is my dream trip. I am just too cheap to pay those prices. I’ve never stayed at a deluxe resort, so unfortunately I can’t answer about extra magic hours. I did just hear that there are now discounts available for 2025. I’m going to call today and see if I can get the lower price.

The dates most likely won't be released earlier than January. Right now, the dates are only released through November 30. So, a two-month lead time isn't uncommon. :)

I'm glad that we booked a bounce back reservation at POR, Mar 9-13, because there aren't any GP or AP discounts for trip.
