***Official March 2021 Thread***

Same! It is super hard to drag my teenagers out of bed before 10am. We will really miss the later hours. 😣
My kids are 16 & 12 and are still pretty much early risers compared to their friends. My 16 year old sets her alarm for 8:30 on the weekends and in the summer because she doesn’t like to sleep too late. Lol. So it will be earlier than the norm that we’re up but not terribly so.

FYI I live in North Alabama and we are about to get hit with a ln ice storm. That’s a big deal here in Alabama because it usually causes power outages from the ice being so heavy on power lines. So if this happens, I will update the list with anyone new who joins in over the next few days as soon as I can. Hopefully it won’t be as bad as expected but it really doesn’t take much for things like this to shut us down completely since we aren’t equipped to handle it. Just don’t want anyone to think I am ignoring them if I do t get them added as quick as I normally do.

Same. I am in TEXAS and the current temperature is 18°. We are going to see snow for the third time!! Every time I tell my kidlets it doesn't snow in TEXAS it snows!!

The temp at my house in MN is -18 without the wind chill. Wind chill is -32. Only 24 days until I’m back at the most magical place on earth!!
I lived in MN for 4 years. Yall are the hardiest people I know. Winter there is a brutal slog and I do not envy you.
We are on day 5 of torrential downpours here and we live in a sinking city, so many roads are impassable at high tide
18 daysssssss

It's suppose to be that cold here tonight. First round of ice is here but it's not the bad round. It's suppose to bring more throughout the day which is what I'm most concerned about. You know it's suppose to be bad when all the colleges close. Even my husband's called it yesterday afternoon and they are one of the last ones to close. Trying to get things done online this morning in case we do lose power this afternoon/evening.

I just wanted to let you all know that it looks like more dining reservations have been added this morning for the 1st week of March - specifically ones after 6 PM in Magic Kingdom - they even had reservations for Cinderella's Royal Table as late as 7:15 as well as BOG (6:45), Skipper Canteen (6:30), The Plaza (6:15), Tony's (6:10), and Crystal Palace (6:00).

I know they weren't there yesterday because I've been looking for some close-to-park closing reservations daily.

It looks like it takes about a week or so after they extend the park hours to then circle back around and add more dining reservations.

So it snowed. Again. Even though a snow day has been called my kidlets have to log in as remote. 😆

My kids were out of school all last week bc of snow, and today as well. I am 100% over this. I know they'd discussed the possibility of distance learning on snow days at our school, but never pulled the trigger I guess. We haven't even had that much snow, but like, 75% of the kids in our district live on gravel which doesn't get cleared or salted very quickly so 2 inches of snow and we are out of school.

I got my notification from mouse dining at 2am saying there was a Cinderella opening!
Switched from 4pm to 6:30 for our princess' birthday surprise dinner!
Excited to get nighttime castle pictures of her all dressed up!!!

That will make for some wonderful photos! (And my daughter, who is 25, still remembers eating in the Castle for her 5th birthday!)

I was able to get a 6:45 Cinderella when there were NONE available on any of the days I'll be there, so I was super excited. Especially since a late reservation means an almost empty park by the time we're actually leaving.

We thankfully haven’t lost power so we have been blessed. Some in our area have but not as many as they expected. It’s still spitting snow and they expect another round to come through tomorrow so we shall see if it does or not. Everything is basically a sheet of ice covered with a light dusting of snow. We have a couple acres and half of it is wooded. When I went out to take pictures yesterday you could hear the branches cracking and breaking off. The weight of the ice is a bit much for some of our smaller trees.

We live in the south too and already got 8 inches of snow. Now we have 4-8 inches more expected tonight. Our power has already gone off and our pipes were frozen this morning. Apparently I should of let the faucets do more than just drip. It was -4 this morning. I thought I was in MN visiting my family! Thankfully mostly everything is back working now. But it’s absolutely beautiful to look at. Our pond looked like a big Sonic slush yesterday, but I think today we could go ice skating! Since we’re at home with all these Snow Days, we’ve been discussing our Disney plans for next month. We’ll be there in 30 days!060E6969-89AA-461E-84DD-CF0191F66BA3.jpegView attachment 55694407E0B8FD-0E48-4ABF-ABD4-6A34F3F3AC72.jpeg

Well, family and I talked about it again last night and I'm the only one that has any reservations about going and the crowds so I'm just going to try and put that aside and take this trip as it comes. My 16-year-old had experienced some pretty significant anxiety in response to covid when things first started to reopen so she is who I was most worried about and she's totally fine. So we will go with our plan to be there early, do what we can, and then chill at the resorts when it starts to get crowded.

I know a lot of people are posting about how bad it is this week but I have a couple of friends who are locals and they have said that yes, it's crowded but it's no where near what it would usually be so I'm taking that for what it's worth.

We all have some reservations in my house (outside of my "naive" 18 year old). I think people streaming live the past week or so helped calm me some as outside of the choke points it didn't seem that bad. The weekends for sure seem worse than the weekdays, so we scheduled our park days Mon-Thu and are hoping for the best.

Same for us.. we're there Tuesday through Saturday. We do have a HS reservation for Saturday but it's our second day so it's going to be more for an additional chance at RoTR and to take in the GE atmosphere since we're all big Star Wars nerds. We will be leaving and starting home later that day so it may just be a bit of shopping and wandering around which will be fine.

The walking through the outside areas, even when crowded don't bother me too much. I figure with masks on and just walking past people for a few minutes, the risk of anything is pretty low. So hopefully I can relax and just enjoy what we do get to experience.
