** Official ** March 2011!!!

I'm new to the boards. We are headed to WDW from March 25 - April 1 staying at Shades of Green! It's been 5 years since our last visit, so we can hardly wait!!!!!
I'm a bit nervous about the crowds. I just found out it's spring break for Orlando schools as well as other school districts that week...ugh :( I thought since Easter was late this year, March would be a good time to go. Oh well...still planning on having an awesome time!

Hey, we need to join this thread because we are going from March 4-11. We had to change our May reservations into Mar. ones but you won't hear me complaining!!!

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We are staying at CBR! pirate:

Welcome! You will find the boards to be informational and very enjoyable...Make sure to check out the Resort link to find out all about your hotel...The Restaurant link to see all the great pictures of what the restaurants around WDW have to offer,,and the Parks link to plot a strategy for your stay. The most helpful thing I can think of is to avoid the Extra Magic Hour Days for the parks,,,they can be pretty busy then......But all in all,,,You will be at WDW!!! Crowds or not....you are sure to have a Magical time!! Have fun!!:yay:
I just read that you are "military"...First thank your husband for his service,,,second,,make sure to stop in at the front desk and see if they have a special "Celebrations" button for you!

Thank you for this information. I am such a planner by nature, so I'm having a blast researching everything. These boards are amazing!
I'll check out the Celebrations buttons, too. Two of our dc will have their birthdays during our stay, so we will certainly have lots to celebrate!

So we should have more of an organized meet. Maybe a sunken treasure meet at the bar or even a dole whip meet in MK. I would suggest the date of March 12th perhaps?

Hi all,
Getting excited for our 3/16-3/26 POR stay. This is our 7th & longest trip yet, first time at POR, & unfortunately my first time using a scooter thanks to foot surgery last week & chronic plantar fasciatis in my other foot. Any pointers or tips about ECVs appreciated!

We will be celebrating my 40th on the 25th:) We went last year over Spring Break at the same time, stayed in CBR pirate suites, and it was wonderful. The weather was gorgeous, and the cheerleading convention was happening, but it did not adversely effect anything. Crowds were normal/not bad except for DD at night was super crowded. I recommend going there if you want to shop during the day. We usually go to the MK when they have late extra magic hours, and if you are a night owl & can hang out after fireworks, we LOVE that time b/c the park is your oyster. It is much less crowded, peaceful, & to us worth strong arming our kids into sleeping in the day of & next day. Our 2 would go 24/7 at the parks until dropping from sheer exhaustion (us before them) if we'd allow it LOL. I have some hard core mouseheads :) so I have to enforce some down time which isn't exactly in my see it all nature haha.

We have a lot of great ADRs this trip & on the last one, so If any one has any questions on Mickey's BBQ, Pirate League, Pirate & Pals Cruise, etc. We do a lot each trip, and last trip we had kiddos aged 10-1 so I'd like to think I have some helpful tips. Both my boys have autism, so I have tips on that, ADHD, & sensory issues if that is an issue for your family.

I could use some pointers on ECV use, Epcot & enjoying the Flower festival. I'm really looking forward to spending time in the world showcase & enjoying more time (2 days) in Epcot than we ever had. We are very familiar w/MK, but now that the boys are older I want to try KIdcot for the first time & have them explore World Showcase. I've never gotten to explore there or see the whole flower festival since my feet were an issue last trip. I got to play in Future World last year, my feet gave out & I had to call it quits before entering WS.

Any advice welcomed & hope we all have magic-filled March trips!

Make sure you do a Kim Possible Mission or two. My kids loved doing them and its a great way to explore the countries while having fun. Kidcot is really cool too. My kids still have their masks, although they changed them to the bear Duffy when we were then in Dec. Some of the CMs wrote the kids names in their native language. We also would get a treat in each country. We easily spend 2 days in Epcot sometimes 3 so its not a lot of eating in one day LOL. Epcot is my kids fav park. Flower and Garden show is cool we just wander around and looked at all the great Topiaries. Last year they were throughout World SHowcase. We did go in to see what the shows/classes were but we had no interest in them.

Well I jumped and bought airfare last night. It killed me to pay as much as I did but it was the cheapest we could get it at the time and some of the flights on our departing day were jumping up A LOT. So I grabbed the first flight out of NJ and the last flight out of MCO. The early morning one I hate but it was the cheapest. So we will be in WDW in 30 days!!!!! We will actually be landing at MCO in about 30 days 45 mins if all goes as planned!

That would be a great day for a meet...my birthday! Too bad my sister and I don't leave until the 26th. :sad2:

Still a good day for a meet though. ;)

So I would like to throw it out there, then. I propose a meet at the Dole Whip stand in MK's Adventure Land at 1pm on Saturday, March 12th. Please respond to this post if you would like to attend! I always think its fun to meet people in real life after reading their posts on the Dis.

So it is me and my husband so far!

Woo-Hoo! 27 days for us!

Thanks for the tip! We absolutely LOVED KP back when it was on, and have thought about doing the Kimmunicators but never budgeted the time. I'll make it a must do this trip! I'm excited to spend some time at Epcot this year. Our past trips have always been MK heavy. This year it is still the star park, but we have more time to hit the others YEA.

Airfare out of STL is lousy this year too. We actually booked an afternoon flight on the 16th b/c it was cheaper than flying out first thing the 17th as originally planned.

20 DAYS!! :dance3::cool1::banana::yay:

Hoping the snow storms slow down by then so we don't have any trouble with travel. We've been getting one or two big ones every week!
