*OFFICIAL MARCH 2010 THREAD* - Lets countdown together!

We (dd13 dd16 my mom) and myself, will be there March 25-April 1. While I am SO excited to go, I am not looking forward to the crowds at all. We are November people normally, but dd16 is playing with her orchestra at DHS, so Spring break here we come. Please tell me it's not THAT bad. Right??

I have been there for spring break many times, and I find that although, it is busier than Oct or Nov. it really hasn't been that bad for us. In fact, April 08, which was spring break that year, wasn't bad at all. In fact, it was one of the most relaxing trips for us ever! So, have faith. I found July to be MUCH more crowded than spring break.

This is such a coincidence. We will be there 3/7-10 but also are hoping to have Eagle projects behind us. Our twin boys will be 18 on 3/23. Hoping to get them completed in the next couple of weeks. OMG trying to get 2 projects completed. Looking forward to a couple of days in "my happy place"

That is a double conincidence because my husband's birthday is 3/23 AND the other family coming with us has twin boys making Eagle!! We have to skip Passover this year to do this trip because it falls on Spring Break, the only time we can all go together before they all go off in different directions. The bad weather has really hampered my son's Eagle Project. He's building a shed for a tractor at our synagogue and because Saturday is Shabbat, can only work on Sundays. We've had 5 inches of snow, 2 feet of snow, several terrential rain storms, and high wind warnings... all on Sundays! They've got the rest of the shingles, some trim and the doors left to do. I'm really praying the weather will give us a break, its supposed to snow again this weekend! oy! Nothing like waiting til the last minute to finish off your requirements.!!:scared1:

Hey! I am one month, one week and one day away! That has a nice sound to it!

So are there any organized meets planned? I would love to participate!

This our very first family vacation in 21 yrs of marriage and, of course, our first trip to Disney.

Who else is going to WDW for the very first time?

I'm so excited I want to shout it from the roof tops -

WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY!

:banana::banana: Yay, us !!!! :banana::banana:
:cheer2: :cheer2:

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You :flower3:....you did put a smile on my face as I look out my window and see the snow falling.....Can't wait to be in the Florida sun :woohoo:
You're welcome! I'm so ready too! :wizard:

Looking at everyones tickers reminds me to get my large tushie on the treadmill and lay off the potato salad. I don't want to have to look at another set of photos from atrip with me looking like a whale.
Don't be so hard on yourself! I'm in panic mode too because I've got to get into shape for the 5K I signed up for and I've got to make those capris fit by March 5. :yay: If you haven't seen it already, come check out the Wish board - there's a lot of people there supporting each other in working out / losing weight.

We're hitting the problem of "what the heck to pack".. id like to think it would be shorts weather during the day but I cant help but think to pack a jacket or couple of sweatshirts as well for the evenings. Also, any good ideas for a long car ride especially with a 5 year old? coming form kentucky, its a 12 hour drive for us.. whee!

MY BOOKS ARE HERE!!! Yeah... That one is about 2 inches thick! I got them through the allears.net store at amazon.com. :lovestruc Time to read!

Good luck, yeah I know what you mean. One son is building a bridge at the city park, but it has been so rainy he is having trouble getting it dry enough to set cement. Good luck to you all. I wish we were going to be there at the same time. What a great celebration.

I can't help but be swept up in the excitement! Not too much longer for everyone on this thread!!

I too am wondering about March weather. I did go there once in March but it was 10 years ago and I wasn't there for that long. I remember being able to wear shorts but that was about it. I guess it will be weather.com for a lot of us to figure out what the weather will do when we are there.

I have a widgit on my desktop that tells me what the current weather is in Orlando. I have been watching it, very closely every day. Right now it is averaging high 60s to low 70s during the day and 50s-60s at night. So in a month... maybe it will be 10 degrees warmer for both. :rotfl: Yes I do believe I've gone completely WDW crazy. :rolleyes1

Am I then only one who has changed ADRs a million times and I am thinking about changing them again. I have CRT booked one night but now that they are changing it I think I might cancel and wait and take the kids. Not sure I DH will want to sit through dinner with the princesses coming around without the kids. UGHHH March needs to get here fast so i leave all my plans alone LOL

I completely change my ADR's about once a week, as long as I can replace them with something better.

Here's our ADR's if anyone would like to compare:

Monday March 15 - 11:30 a.m. Hollywood Brown Derby
Tuesday March 16 - 8:30 a.m. Kona Cafe....2:05 p.m. Le Cellier
Wednesday March 17 - 1 p.m. Yak & Yeti
Thursday March 18 - 1 p.m. The Wave

Whoo hoo! Just finished paying off WDW and with 45 days to go! Now how to get the days to not drag by...

Yeah, that would have been great to meet some other Virginia Eagle Scouts. Where do you guys live? Near Williamsburg? Where is SE VA?:confused3 We're in Northern VA right at the tip top of the state, across the Potomac River from Maryland.
