Posting from my beautiful room at the Disneyland Hotel.

The ceilings are higher than normal and we have a patio overlooking Disneyland. We hear the train every time it goes by. Incredible.

Had a great day at Disney Studios and a backstage tour of Lights, Motor, Action....first ever. Never been done before.

Lunch at Disney Village with characters and a DLP Imagineers.

Had four private tour guides and a Disney Ambassador walk us through the park today. No one waited in line for ANYTHING!!!!!!!! If there were people in line, we went around them.

I'm pretty sure the Adventureers are spoiled and wlll have difficulty touring any Disney park without there own private guide and Ambassador.

Tomorrow starts early with breakfast in Walt's Restaurant (again....never been done before), private tour guided park time, lunch and then "on our own" time tomorrow afternoon.

Tomorrow night we have our farewell dinner and the something amazing.

We go back into the park after it closes for a champagne reception at Sleeping Beauty Castle. Again....never, ever been done before. We have the Magic Kindom to ourselves. 28 people.....one park.

Many of us are headed back to the States on Saturday, while several are staying extra days here or elsewhere. Paris, Dublin, Berlin and Switzerland are some of the destinations.

A bunch of us sat in the Fantasia Lounge tonight in the Disneyland Hotel.

We relived this amazing vacation and we all feel pretty lucky to have been part of it.

We are having the most wonderful trip.

Today started out at Notre Dame and a tour. You were welcome to climb to the top if you wished or you could shop and wander for a while.

Amazingly beautiful place.

After that, we too a boat tour up and down the Seine on the BateuxBus,

Then we went to lunch at the Eiffel
Tower (first level). The food was very good and the view spectacular.

We were encouraged to go to the second or third level Iif we liked. I
made it to the second level and decided that was enough.

The lines for the elevators up and down were enormous and chewed up a lot of time.

After a short ride back to the hotel, we are getting ready for dinner at Laduree.

Tomorrow we head for DLP for the last leg of this adventure. As I thought, I am madly in love with Paris and don't want to leave.

I haven't seen the Musee D'Orsay or visited a Paris street market or walked the Champs Elysee or visited enough patisseries.

If given the option, I would gladly give up DLP for a few days here in Paris.

I'm in love.

Great day at Disneyland Paris. I have my first rant. I can not find a single piece of "non-crap" clothing that says Disneyland Paris. Nothing is embroidered. It is all silk screened, cheap stuff. I also find that there is no such thing as personal space. Today has been the day of "who can sit in my lap." This older lady this morning that was from a country that started with I (not Ireland or Iceland) sat right next to me at breakfast. We were touching rumps! Almost overlapping. When Christy sat down, her eyes were as big as half dollars when she saw this lady practically sitting in my lap. She then began to adjust her shoe or sock or foot and was elbowing my stomach. I was cornered. If I said something, she would not have understood me. I just sat there and took it.

On Pirates, the whole boat had people "hooting and hollaring" during entire ride. They would clap to the beat, LOUDLY, when "Yo Ho Yo Ho" started playing. It was very annoying. Oh well, on to pictures!!

Mike, your experience sounds typical of my experience there. We've had people constantly stand on the back of our heels in lines to the point it has driven us crazy!

Kevin....I am now officially jealous of this trip. Up to this point we were more envious of being able to travel with such a great group that includes many good friends. Your update today was the first time that actually made us jealous of the itinerary. Sounds like ABD is rolling out the red carpet in DLP. Can't wait to hear the stories.

What's with the locks Mike?

They're love locks. Lovers attach a padlock to a bridge, then throw the key into the river.

There is a bridge near the Louvre named Pont des Arts.

For quite a while, people (and couples) have been writing their names on pad locks and locking "themselves"to the bridge.

This can symbolize your undying love to each other and your love of Paris.

By throwing the keys into the river, it's said that you are forever attached to Paris and this guarantees your return.

John and I surprised each person (or couple) with a padlock on which to write whatever they desired and had our Guides make a special stop as we departed Paris.

We had folks celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, make memorials an just promise to come ba ck to one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

We celebrated each set of keys that went in the Seine.

It was a nice way to say "until we meet again".

What a lovely tradition. It reminds me of what I heard about Hawaii that when you toss your Lei in the ocean then you will return to Hawaii. I read it in a book so I don't know if it is true or not. Sometimes the best thing you bring home is special moments.

and this is why we only went to DLP once...

and based on Kevin's description of how you got to avoid lines, you didn't even get the full force of the DLP experience - line? what line? you mean you're standing in a line? i thought i was supposed to cut in front of you...

DLP is pretty, but dealing with all the line jumpers and space invaders was just too much for us...one day was more than we could handle...
