Since regular dining prices basically stayed the same, I doubt plat (approx 200) and premium (approx 150) will get any cheaper - come to think of it, that has pretty much stayed the same in the last 4 or 5 years.

Many dining options are not yet confirmed for the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan (see all of the blank spaces next to the restaurants).

No, I think all the ones listed on those pages for deluxe are included - those columns indicate char meal, signature, 2 credits, dinner show, tip included or 2 credits for pizza - not whether they participate. A CS location won't have any mark since it doesn't fit one of those categories but would still be a location to use DxDDP.

Am I overlooking something? I don't see Coronado Springs on the base dining plan. Oh man, that's my favorite resort!

My friend who works at the resort said an outside company from California operates the food section (Pepper Market)and that they have NOT agreed on a contract for dining. Maybe that will change ???

Maybe its another cut by Disney to save a few dollars because of the CS meals being too many $$$$ JMO

these changes dont effect any trips(specifically lack of appetizer and no inclded gratuity)In 2007 do they?

That helps me make a decision. We were seriously considering changing our reservation from POFQ to CSR but if you can't eat on the dining plan for breakfast there that makes it easy! We will definitely be staying with POFQ! We love that resort but were kind of sad about not trying something NEW in '08.

Epcot restaurants are seriously stripped down too :sad1:

There are 11 LESS restaurants now in Epcot on the dining plan from '07!

This list of participating restaurants is really no different than what was originally released last Aug. Once contracts are finalized you will see many more added to the list. It looks like all the ones missing are those that are run by outside companies (CSR, many World Showcase, DTD). Just be patient and I'm sure more will be added, just like last year.

They were stripped last year in the early pamplet release, too. They were added later as the contracts were finalized. I imagne they will be added later this year, too.

Reservatioins will be even harder to get . Less places to eat at.
IMO its a disaster waiting to happen with unhappy guests with an expensive plan and few reservations.
Quote Disclaimer:
Q. Are reservations required?
A. Due to the popularity of our restaurants, dining availability may be limited or not available
without advance reservations.

Thanks! I hope that it's the same as last year then, you've saved me from a mini temper tantrum! I was getting a little worked up looking at that list...

Didn't that happen last year?? CSR wasn't on for a while for some reason or another and then it finally came on??

The Premium and Platinum are nothing new, I think they have had those for years. I do notice that those ones include the appitizer in your meals.

I find it interesting that it says " A gratuity may also be automatically added for ordered items not on the Disney Dining Plan" Hopefully that is just for things like alcohol.

Before you all PANIC over the "missing resturants" REMEMBER LAST YEAR! All the Epcot resturants "reappeared" So give it a few weeks before you make a final decision.

Same as last year, the non-Disney restaurants, including restaurants in the WS, CSR and DTD, are not currently listed. My guess is Disney comes up with terms, and pricing, and then contracts with the restaurants. I suspect most of the restaurants will wind up on board.

I know that in the basic and deluxe dining packages that tips were not going to be included - did anyone notice that they are not included in the premium plan either! I was really hoping to do this but can you imagine how much that would add to a day in tips alone!

:sad2:

Did I read correctly that gratuity is no longer included with the dining plan, and that you no longer get an appetizer with the dining plan? I hope they cut the price of the plan to reflect the reduction in offerings.

I am unimpressed with this plan. The other seemed to work well, with few hassles. Can't have us guests getting too comfortable with getting a good deal....
